Guest guest
I am not sure which Tracey sent me this a while ago, but thank you to the one who did!I really love making my own soaps, candles, body lotions, etc. And One of my favorite things to make is this dream balm I'd like to Share with you all: 1/4 oz chamomile 1/4 oz roses 1/4 oz hops 1/4 oz mugwort 1/4 oz lavender 1 cup almond oil 1/4 cup beeswax A few drops essential oil of choice 1. In a double boiler over low heat, slowly bring the herbs and oil To simmer, and simmer for 20 minutes. Be certain not to overheat or Burn the oil. Using a large strainer lined with cheesecloth, Muslin, or coffee filters, strain herbs from oil. 2. Return herbal oil to pan and add the beeswax. It will melt Quickly if grated. Stir. Test the consistency of your balm by placing one tablespoon in the Refrigerator. It will harden in 1 or 2 minutes. If you desire a Harder balm, add more beeswax; for a softer product, add more oil. When it reaches desired consistency, quickly stir in enough Essential oils to strongly scent the dream balm. 3. Pour into glass containers with tight fitting lids. Label with Stars and moons and spiral symbols - all gateways to dreamland! 4. To use, gently massage a small amount of Dream Balm over the Temples, nape of the neck, and behind the ears just before bedtime. It can be used as a massage balm for other areas as well. Curl up With an herbal dream pillow, sip a little lemon balm tea, and drift Off into dreamland.
