Guest guest
Creamy Milk Lotion STEP 1 36 oz. goatsmilk (any form) 34 oz. distilled water 2 oz. aloe vera gel 1 oz. glycerin Heat the above ingredients in a large pot to 100 degrees and hold. STEP 2: 3.5 stearic acid 3.7 oz. emulsifying wax Melt the above in a smaller pot. Once melted, allow to cool a bit. Then add: 1.5 oz shea butter Once this is melted, keep on low heat and add: 6.4 oz. sweet almond oil 1.8 oz. jojoba oil 2.8 oz. sunflower 1 oz. hemp seed oil STEP 3 Add oils to milk/water and blend with stick blender. Continue to blend periodically as the mixture cools. Add 0.6 oz. of Germaben or Liquapar and 0.5 oz. FO. Mix thoroughly and pump into bottles (or jars). You can sub any of the light oils. I used almond instead of sweet almond, and grapeseed instead of the hemp. I would keep the jojoba in, though. It's such a nice oil! I may also try subbing the almond oil with all sunflower to keep the cost down (total would be 9.2 oz of sunflower). This recipe should make 100 oz. I made 1/2 of this recipe, and it worked fine. I used Oatmeal, Milk & Honey FO, and it was not too strong, just right. You can also try other milks in this, or no milk at all. Just replace the milk portion with distilled water. You can leave this fragrance free, but keep in mind that when using goatsmilk, it may have a slight odor. I used powdered gm, but only half of the recommended amount. I cut the recipe in half which would call for 18 oz of goatsmilk. I used 9 oz of goatsmilk and added 9 oz of distilled water to make up the difference. Another thought...you could probably sub the aloe with more glycerin, I'll try that too.
