Pour some basil into a glass or stoneware bowl. Holding your hands open over the bowl, visualize the protective energies of the plant surrounding you as you chant: Spirit of this plant I pray, Keep me safe throughout this day. Bless me with security. Protected, I feel safe and free. Sprinkle a small amount of basil in each room of your house, visualizing the energy changing as the protective properties of the plant spread.
