Guest guest
I must have the strangest skin known to dermatology! I've made my own cleanser, which works really well...then after a few hours my skin gets incredibly oily! I've tried products (OTC and stuff I've made) for oily skin and it just makes my skin tight after cleansing then oily as all get out later. I'm sure I need a good moisturizer!Neesha P <neesha wrote: Good Afternoon, I have been lurking for a while now due to relocations, birth of my daughter and other life circumstances. But i just started making my lotions again, and was looking for a nice moisturizer. Something that is not to greasy but not too dry. I have dry skin, so I need something that is somewhat heavy cause everything always dries up. Any suggestions? Neesha Want to be your own boss? Learn how on Small Business. Guest guest
You can over cleanse your oily skin which will make the surface dry and then your skin will produce more oil to make up for the over cleansing/dryness. This has been my experience. Lilith I must have the strangest skin known to dermatology! I've made my own cleanser, which works really well...then after a few hours my skin gets incredibly oily! Guest guest
I thought that, too! However, apparently my skin cells regenerate faster than most. My skin will be oily with what feels like a thin layer of dead, flaky skin. Yuk! Anyway, I've found a cleanser potion, lavender witch hazel, and a facial with red clay every other day has worked well. The last few days, I've used plain Apricot Kernel Oil as a moisturizer...my life is constant trial and error!Lilith <lilithsrae wrote: You can over cleanse your oily skin which will make the surface dry and then your skin will produce more oil to make up for the over cleansing/dryness.
