Today's favorite is impatiens; they're so sweet and pretty and come in so many colors and they bloom from the time I plant them in May until the end of October, and then I pot a few and bring them inside, and they bloom nonstop all winter on my windowsill. They fill in all the bare spaces between my perennials, and seem to thrive in deep shade or sun. What more could anyone ask??? Last week, a hummingbird kept trying to come in my front window to get the ones on the sill (so cute!), so I went and bought the ones for outside and got them in. He likes the hot pink ones! I got him some fuchsias too, to hang from the porch. Any Hobbies: Many, many. Jewelry design/crafting, which has become a small business. Dreamwork, which is a passion. Herbal medicine and aromatherapy. Healthier cooking... supper tonight was blueberry-raspberry buckwheat pancakes (I used a Hodgson Mills mix with soya milk for the liquid... added a ton of berries so they were really dense with berries) with real maple syrup. Gardening, mostly flowers and berries at present, though I'd like to add an herb garden; I'm kind of limited on full sun though... lots of trees. Guitar, djembe drum, both just for fun... I don't sing so well, sadly. Reading. Writing poems, especially from dreams. Hiking with my Siberian Husky, Shaman. Feeding birds and butterflies, especially growing things that feed them. Other sometimes-things as well (quilting, stenciling, photography, sponge painting, playing with knitting amulet bags to be beaded), but these are the ones I do most. Oh, yeah... email lists! Favorite thing to shop for: beads, gemstone specimens, and books. Where do you live?
