Conditioning Hair Packs To make these natural hair packs, choose one or more of the ingredients from the list below. Use about 1/4 of a cup (or less if your hair is short), and apply the pack to clean, wet hair. Wrap your hair in plastic wrap, or use a shower cap. This allows your natural body heat to open up the follicles, and allows the ingredients to work more efficiently, giving you a deep conditioning. Forget the expensive hot oil treatments at the salon. These conditioners are time tested, and they work. You can leave them on for 15 minutes, a few hours, or even overnight. Remember to rinse them thoroughly, and re-shampoo your hair. For dry hair - coconut oil, banana, avocado, or mayonnaise. For normal hair - egg, olive oil, plain yogurt, or mayonnaise. For oily hair - add 1 or 2 teaspoons of lemon juice to the products for normal hair. Coconut oil is perfect for hair. It leaves a residue that protects the hair from damage caused by the elements, and it also has sun screen qualities. Massage your scalp with coconut oil every day for two weeks, and leave the oil in your hair overnight (wear a plastic cap over it), and you will notice a big difference in the health of your hair. After two weeks, reduce the coconut oil treatments to once a week. Natural Hair Rinses You can use these rinses before the final rinse. Squeeze some honey anywhere on your skin and pat it with both hands. As you continue to pat your skin, the honey gets really sticky, and will pull up your skin gently with every pat. This is the BEST for circulation, and you’ll end up with a gorgeous glow. Rinse off the honey when you’ve had enough. Moisturizing Honey Mask. Mix 2 tablespoons honey and 2 teaspoons milk or cream. Smooth on face and allow to remain for 10 minutes, then rinse. Honey-Apple Toner. This sweet alpha-hydroxy miracle will help to firm, smooth, and moisturize your skin. Facial Cleansing Scrub. Combine 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon finely-ground almonds, 2 tablespoons dry oatmeal, and enough lemon juice to moisten. Massage mixture gently onto face, then rinse with warm water. Olive Oil In Your Beauty Routine A mixture of 1/2 cup olive oil, 1/4 cup vinegar, & 1/4 cup water used as a night cream will make your skin glow. The olive oil softens and moisturizes and the vinegar lightens discolorations, kills bacteria and loosens dead skin cells. Splash water on your face before applying. Olive oil can be used as cleansing cream if your skin is dry. For a facial, wet face thoroughly, then massage olive oil into your skin. Use about a half teaspoon of sugar and gently scrub your face, then wipe off gently with a warm, wet cloth until the sugar is all gone. Use olive oil on your feet then put on clean white cotton socks. It helps to soften up you feet and it absorbs better than baby oil. It seems whenever you pour olive oil there is always a drip, so wipe it up with your hand and rub it into your elbows. Use olive oil as bath oil. Two to three tablespoons will do the trick. Use olive oil for your hair. Not only does it condition, but it also gets rid of the frizz. Put a small drop into your palm & then rub both hands together & apply it to dry hair.
