Guest guest Posted April 29, 2006 Report Share Posted April 29, 2006 Easy Cinnamon Flop This is like combination of a cake and a cinnamon bun all in one...it's ridiculously simple to make, takes like 5 minutes to throwtogether! great for a weekend brunch. Add in an egg also if desired, see note on bottom, you can also add in a few teaspoons vanilla oralmond extract to the batter. If desired drizzle the cake with a whiteglaze.2 cups flour1 cup sugar1 1/4 cups milk or half-and-half 3 teaspoons baking powder1 pinch salt1/2 cup brown sugar, more if desired1-2 teaspoon cinnamon1/4 cup butter, melted5-6 servings Change size or US/metricChange to: servings US Metric25 minutes 5 mins prep - Remove ads with Recipezaar Premium1. Set oven to 350°.2. Prepare a greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan (this can also be bakedin an 11 x 7-inch baking dish, or two smaller round cake pans).3. In a bowl, mix all ingredients, except the brown sugar, cinnamonand melted butter.4. Pour into prepared baking pan.5. Generously spread dark brown sugar and cinnamon on top.6. If desired sprinkle chopped walnuts or pecans over top. 7. Drizzle melted butter over top.8. Bake for 20-25 minutes.9.
