Zodiac Tea Recipes

The following zodiac tea recipes include edible botanicals from each sun sign chosen to strengthen the characteristics of the sign. As I also do with zodiac oils, I include something from the opposite sign to help balance the personality. For example, Leo tea will include one Aquarius botanical. Mix together equal parts of each botanical unless otherwise indicated. Make an infusion by steeping a teaspoon of the mixture in one cup of steaming water for five minutes. Filter and drink once a day to fortify yourself.

Aries: 1/4 nettle, 1 peppermint, 1/2 watercress, 1/2

hops, golden seal (pinch).

Taurus: 1/2 dandelion leaves, 1/4 dandelion root, 1/4

lovage, 1/8 horehound, 1/8 fennel seed.

Gemini: 1/2 meadowsweet, 1/4 parsley, 1/4 caraway seed,

vervain (pinch).

Cancer: 1/4 honeysuckle flowers, 1 lemon balm, 1/4

violet leaves, 1/2 comfrey, hyssop (pinch).

Leo: 1 peppermint, 1/2 chamomile, 1/4 angelica root, 1/4 fennel, 1/4 anise.

Virgo: 1/2 fennel seed, 1/4 rosemary, 1 peppermint, 1/4

whole cloves, ground cloves (pinch), 1/4 marjoram, 1/4 skullcap.

Libra: 1/2 strawberry leaves, 1/4 catnip, 1/4 violet

leaves, 1/2 watercress, marjoram (pinch).

Scorpio: 1/4 horehound, 1/4 basil, 1 lovage, 1/2

sarsaparilla, 1 raspberry leaves, 1/4 parsley.

Sagittarius: 1/2 chicory (roasted root), 1/2 wood

betony, 1/4 vervain, golden seal (pinch)

Capricorn: 1/2 linden, 1 lemon balm, 1/2 peppermint, 1/4 comfrey, hyssop (pinch).

Aquarius: 1/4 spikenard, 1/2 strawberry leaves, 1/4

fennel, 1/2 eyebright, 1/2 peppermint.

Pisces: 1/4 peppermint, 1/2 chamomile flowers, 1/4 wood

betony, 1/4 Irish moss, 1/2 elder flowers, agrimony (pinch).
