Guest guest
Hi Caroline, Yes, you can tincture cayenne with just the cayenne and vodka. No add'l ingredients required. It is exceptionally good for circulation, amongst a host of other things. There have been many discussions on this in the past. Try searching the archives. If I can get out there and can find something for you, I'll send it along. By the way, welcome to the group! Guest guest
Perhaps they were confusing heat with toxicity LOL! I have had enough homemade salsa's in my time to tell you that each and everyone of them had seeds, and some leave more seeds in for more heat! If you've ever been to a thai restaurant they often serve a hot chili oil that is LADEN with chili seeds as well as chili, in fact more seeds than chili! I've ingested ton's of chili pepper seeds and the only toxicity going on in my body is due to JUNK! So to mirror what Doc just said LOL...HOGWASH! heheheheh Sylvia herbal remedies , " Candace Podratz " <CandaceAndBrock@w...> wrote: > I thought the seeds were the best part to use (where most of the heat is). > Anyone? > - > Waymon Cowley > herbal remedies > Monday, May 24, 2004 1:52 PM > Herbal Remedies - Cayenne Tincture > > > I'm about to make a cayenne tincture and I've heard that the seeds can be toxic and you should remove them. Guest guest
Thanks Suzi, do you dry them in a dehydrator or string them, then do you powder them for the tincture and do you use vodka for the tincture that is what I use when I make my echinacea thanks so much for the help Sandra - Suzanne Habeneros are great... Guest guest
I've done both.. even chopped them up when I dehydrate them. I use either everclear or 100 vodka when I can find it... It's easier to find everclear around here than 100 proof vodka. When I use everclear, after the tincture is done... when I go to use it I dilute what I use with a little distilled water. LIke a couple dropperfuls or so in a swallow of distilled water. Since the everclear is much stronger. Guest guest
Hi Joe- The benefits are that the active components of the cayenne pepper are assimilated into the body much faster with a tincture. Also for emergency situations it is much easier to administer. Your body doesn't need to digest the cayenne to get the benefits. This hold more water for other herbs, because cayenne effect happens almost immediately working on the cells of the tongue.... with either the tincture or the powder..... but the tincture tends to be more powerful and concentrated. I have used both and the tincture is more powerful, but you will still be getting great benefits from the powder.... Cayenne is the number one emergency herb. I have personally saved somebody's life with this in December. But to tell you the truth, if the cayenne pepper is of sufficient heat units, then either a tincture or a putting the powder in some water will work in an emergency situation. Guest guest
Cayenne Tincture The extract is VERY concentrated and gets in the bloodstream fast which makes it a perfect first aid remedy, for heart attacks, stroke, fainting, shock, dizziness, internal or external bleeding. Use a few drops to 10 dropperfuls. It has saved many lives. Formulae: FRESH JUICE of Organic Haberero peppers, California Jalapeno, African Bird Peppers, Chinese, Korean, Thai and Japanese peppers. Therapeutic Action: Cayenne is the greatest herbal aid to circulation and can be used on a regular basis. Dosage: 5 to 30 drops 3 times daily. CAUTION: EXTREMELY HOT http://curezone.com/books/herbal_cayenne1.asp *** Making Tinctures -An Example with Cayenne Tincture NOTE: To make other Herbal Tinctures by the following Dr. Schulze Method, just substitute the Herb(s) for Cayenne Pepper. 1. Start to make this and ANY Tincture, if possible, on a NEW Moon. 2. Take a Quart Canning Jar and fill it 1/4 FULL with DRIED Cayenne Peppers, getting the HOTTEST ones (i.e. - Habanero, African Bird, Serrano, Jalapeno - 90,000+ Heat Units), that you can obtain. 3. Add enough 50% Grain Alcohol (100 Proof Vodka) to the Cayenne Peppers (powdered, using a Blender or Grinder) to just COVER them. 4. Use enough FRESH Cayenne Peppers, that you can blend with 50% Grain Alcohol (100 Proof Vodka) to turn the Mixture into an Apple Sauce-Like Consistency. 5. Add this Mixture to the 1st Mixture, filling up the Canning Jar 3/4 FULL. 6. Fill up the rest of the Canning Jar with MORE 50% Grain Alcohol (100 Proof Vodka). 7. Shake it as MANY times as possible, during the Day. 8. Let this Mixture SIT, until the following FULL Moon (15-16 Days), but OPTIMALLY until the following NEW Moon (28-29 Days)! 9. Strain this Mixture through an UNBLEACHED Coffee Filter. 10. Bottle the RESULTING Tincture. NOTE: Part EQUALS Volume, NOT Weight in this Tincture Method. If using 95% Alcohol (190 Proof), then DILUTE in half with Distilled Water. Modify this procedure by using DRIED Herbs ONLY, if FRESH Herbs are NOT AVAILABLE, and when making other Herbal Tinctures also. Also if you want to make a SUPER-POTENT Tincture (i.e. - Cayenne Pepper & Lobelia Seed Pod), then allow the Mixture to sit for a FULL 3 Months! http://curezone.com/schulze/tinctures.asp *** The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.~ Albert Einstein ~ Check Out My Groups: Everything Natural http://health./ Everything Magick EverythingMagick/ -- Version: 7.1.385 / Virus Database: 268.4.1/309 - Release 4/11/2006

Guest guest
Cayennes active component is fat soluble and not water soluble. If it is on the skin you can use soapy water or use vegetable oil followed by soapy water.Teddyberen wrote: I was reading an article that said if you put cayenne on by mistake never use water to take it off.
