I also increased my soy intake..it seems to work for me. There is another Vitamin you can buy at Walmart to take with the Black Cohosh, but I can't seem to remember the name! lol...I'm sure someone else will have a better answer.. When he married a 33 yo he prob thought he had a quite a few years before menopause, but my body said otherwise and a year later it started. Now I am in full-blown menopause at 35. Irregular periods and all. I take estroven which has and it has worked wonderful. I was absolutely miserable and just steadily getting worse when I found it. I actually take it twice a day though instead of once. That is I take one pill twice a day. In fact when I looked at the website to give you that insert so you would know all the ingredients, I saw they have another product called Estroven PM that they are giving away free trials of. I say if it is free, I will try it. Just thought you would like to know. Maybe add St John's Wort to whatever you take. It is known for its anti-depressant effects. The "crone" phase....I was FORCED into it! LOL! I'm only teasing...I had endemetrosis..so I "arrived" earlier than planned But none the less, it IS part of life..Oh well..Someone mentioned St. Johns Wort...that was the other (i call it my vitamin) one I used to take. I also had problems with my thyroid..or that is what they told me. One day my levels were low..the next month they were normal & I wasn't taking the synthroid..so how come it changed ya know?? They said mine was extremely severe. Now I know atleast one part of it. I recommended the St John's Wort. I know it helps with depression. Does it help with mood swings? I do not take because I am not depressed. Well maybe I am on my way. I can't stand to be touched anymore. I feel so tense all over my body most of the time. When I am not, I try to snuggle my son as much as I can. My husband is not so lucky. He is too hot, and I become psychotic almost when he touches me. Does this sound like anybody else? I am so worried I am losing my mind some times. Sometimes not wanting to be touched can be an under lying problem that is manifesting its self as that, counseling can help or talking with a good friend helps too. Damiana helps get you in mood for snuggling with hubby. Here is an herbal hormone formula that helps some women. My interpretation of Crone is someone you go to for advise, help and unconditional love, AKA your favorite Grandmother. Mary This recipe uses the roots of the herbs, get the powdered form of the roots so you can use them in capsules, use the 00 capsules. She had a TAH at 30 then a BSO at 40 and was put on HRT at that time. She was slowly taken off them, so never had thses psychotic symptoms. That is why I am asking you all these questions. Sorry I will drop them now. I am sure the one who started asking them has her answers since I can answer most medical questions anybody asks. Thanks for the help and pointing me in another direction. She has lots of interesting ideas. If you can get a hold of her book on menopause, it's awesome. Just very interesting to read, and you realize there are many things you can do besides what your doctor might recommend. As for a remedy for the " crazies " as I like to call them (crying fits, nerves, general grumpiness, feeling " on edge " , etc....)while getting my period, I like to take Motherwort tincture drops under the tongue when I feel like I'm about to explode. It relieves it a bit, and I can generally take a deep breath and relax. As I remember, Susun Weed recommends it for menopausal women for that very reason also. I also remember something about drinking garden sage tea for relieving stretched nerves too....relaxes you naturally. Also purportedly dries up the night-sweats too. Anyhoo...I'd recommend getting on her site regardless. Tons of info, and super interesting. Read a bit on it, and then decide if you wanna take antidepressants.
