This C.Diff. almost killed my mother! It is one horrendous disease!

We still don't know how she got it - she was not on antibiotics

previously, and was not in a hospital or nursing home where they say

it is spread. Once she got to the hospital for treatment, she ended

up with other infections besides this bowel infection - she got a

urinary infection, a blood infection, her kidneys shut down so she had

to be put on dyalisis, she had to have blood transfusions, and she had

a stroke! All because of diarrehea. Best to avoid it in the first

place - take lots of probiotics to populate your bowels with the " good

guys " , let them overpower the bad bugs.

It would probably be Clostridium difficile that we are supposed to

look up. Is that correct?
