Guest guest
Someone posted some stats, or perhaps I read them somewhere else, that women's breast cancer rates are dropping since so many women quit taking the hormone replacements. So, it is unwise to screw around with that stuff. Didn't there used to be an ad on television that had a punch line of "Its not nice to fool mother nature." But what do we do when it seems sometimes that everybody wants to reside in a fabricated environment and cover our planet over with asphalt and concrete, let alone what we do with our bodies in terms of feeding them. - HAH Monday, December 18, 2006 2:16 PM Saying goodbye to periods I think its unwise to want to stop our natural monthly (rivers) flow from flowing from our (earth) Bodies~ I had an online friend of 5 years that began that 4 menstruals a years pill about 1 & 1/2 years ago, she just died from breast cancer 2 weeks ago~ http://www.nature.com/news/2006/061211/full/061211-8.html love*light, GaiaHemp aka Hempress "I pledge of allegiance to our Earth (Gaia) and all the life which s'he supports, one planet in our care, irreplaceable with sustenance and respect for all"

Guest guest
Not knowing any better, I was on the depo provera birth control shot for two years. I stopped taking them back in June, along with all other meds I was on for fibro. Still haven't had a period. Research tells me that it may take up to a year to get my body back in order. Getting worried, this is not natural or normal. ~Rocky

Guest guest
They are beautiful. They come in to gather from my peach and buckeye trees. The buckeye puts out some very nice blooms. I sit at a point between the two trees on the edge of my garden, having a beer or two, and watching everything. This is the first year they showed up at my house. I'm sure it was the buckeye trees but they were in my peach tree as well. They're fun to watch eh? You hear them approach and then their wings sounding like one of those gumband propellers on those balsa-wood airplanes. - HAH Tuesday, December 19, 2006 9:20 PM Re: Re: Saying goodbye to periods I love Hummingbirds , so every year i plant flower seeds that'll attract them and i also have a feeder for them on my porch:) ---- Ed Siceloff 12/19/06 17:44:28 Re: Re: Saying goodbye to periods Nice little programming to get the flicker in the eye. Guest guest
I didn't notice the motion in this bird's throat, like he is warbling. I always have time to watch a hummingbird. I was taking my son back and forth to work and he lives with his mom yet (ex). I'm welcome there so I would visit a while. She puts out feeders. There are a couple of ruby throated that are always there at the feeder. And they're something you can just sit and watch. That little patch of red..... The one chasing the bumblebee, flying around close to my head as I watched, was only like a little less than twice the bumblebee's size. I don't know whether he was chasing it away, or was being predatory. But, even a little unremarkable wren while not having the color, or kind of flight either, of the hummingbird, when you hold one in your hand you see that it is not just a little dingy gray bird. It has many different shades of the one overall color--actually remarkable. They vibrate with life. - HAH Tuesday, December 19, 2006 10:58 PM Re: Re: Saying goodbye to periods The restaurant & lodge patio area, where i eat sometimes after trekking up Spring Mountains in Nevada, have 4 feeders that attract an enormous amount hummingbirds that fly all over the place while i relax and view the area from where i'm sitting~ Man, they are brisk but also very majestic in nature and a wonderful treat to see every time!
