Guest guest
The second book I've gotten alot out of -- this one in the last week: " The Amazing Way to Reverse Heart Disease Naturally " , by Eric R. Braverman, M.D. ISBN 1-59120-107 (198 pages) Gary Null, PhD, says on the back cover: " Finally a book that says it all and says it with such commonsense, easily understood principles that will serve as the ultimate reference in the field. Another outstanding book by one of America's leading educators in health and nutrition. " The book says it contains: " The 30 to 90 day No-More-Hypertension and Heart Disease Program " " 50 foods that raise blood pressure, and 50 that lower it " " Stress control strategies " " Customized diet plans " " Hidden hypertension and heart disease facts " " Supplements, recipes, and other resources " . This is a small book but filled with great information. It's also very easy to read and put into practice. For example, my doctor just suggested that I go on a beta-blocker for a heart issue. After reading this book (which took an afternoon), I not only understood exactly what a betablocker is, what it does, how it works, and what it's (horrible!) side effects are, but also what the effective (and safer) alternatives are. I also understand what I need to do to get myself back into heart-health, far beyond anything my cardiologist can offer. And I'm already seeing health-results. Here are chapter summaries: Part One: Understanding the Elements of Heart Disease Chapter One: The 2 precursors of heart disease: high blood pressure and elevated cholesterol Chapter Two: Beyond the hypertention hype: why drugs are not the answer Chapter Three: What's the alternative? Part Two: The No-More-Hypertention and Heart Disease Program Chapter Four: The Rainbow Diet: how it works Chapter Five: Key supplemetns for full-spectrum support Chapter Six: Stress reduction, lifestyle changes, and other healing therapies Chapter Seven: Putting the program into action Chapter Eight: Tests for tracking your cardiovascular fitness Chapter Nine: 25 case histories demonstrating proof of the program Appendix A has some heart-healthy recipes. " The greater part of what my neighbors call good, I believe in my soul to be bad, and if I repent of anything, it is very likely to be my good behavior. What demon possessed me that I behaved so well? " -Henry David Thoreau ______________________________\ ____ Want to start your own business?
