Guest guest
Hi. Haven't posted for awhile but reading this scared me even more that I already was scared by my high bloodpressure. I have been a guinea pig for years and finally had my fill of doctors changing my BP meds because none of them were working. I have not been on any since 2003. Could not afford going to doc and couldn't afford the $148 a mo on the last one I was on. Went to doc 2 weeks ago because I need my teeth pulled and need false teeth. I have 12 teeth left and they wouldn't touch me because my BP was 188/110. I also have high anxiety whenever I go to dentist so that was probably part of the elevation. Drove 2 hours to find out they wouldn't touch me. Went home and made Dr. appointment. BP was 180/110 so he pur me on an ace inhibitor with a built in diuretic. Only $20 a mo. with a special card. It isn't working. Went to Wally World and took my BP and it was 205/110. Scared me but I am continuing to take med. I was on Procardia XL for 10 years before all of this experimenting started. That started in 2000 when I moved to Indiana. They said I had been on Procardia too long. It has not been controlled since. It was normal on the Procardia by the way. I feel horrible and I need help but cannot afford Homeopathy or Accupunture. I am 59 years old and desperate too feel good again. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I might try? Want to be around to enjoy all of my grandbabies for as long as possible. Lizzie S.C.Did you know that our bodies have the capabilities to heal through proper nutrition? Guest guest
Have you tried methodically going through all the possible food culprits that may be contributing to your HBP, starting with a possible unusually high salt sensitivity? jp - Elizabeth Otto Wednesday, November 29, 2006 9:49 PM Re:Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Blood Pressure Drugs, How t Hi. Guest guest
The doctor I just went to is the first doctor that told me to watch my salt intake but that I could use small amts. of sea salt. I had not had HBP until I was 40. Until then it always been normal. I was going through alot of heavy bleeding due to fibroid tumors in my uterus and that is when my BP shot up and I have had a problem ever since. My father had a problem with HBP, too. I will cut back even more. Thank you for the suggestion.
