Guest guest
But diabetes is all about diet - very easily controlled or eliminated with proper eating/lifestyle habits. You don't need to get diabetes, just because everybody else does. There are ways to prevent that from happening. But most people don't want to " bother " with changing, too much work. I had a client one time, or I should say a " potential " client, who had diabetes, lupus, and GERD, and was asking me about the supplements that I use and if they would help her. When I told her they probably would help somewhat, but that she had to work with me - what would REALLY help would be to eliminate several foods she was eating on a daily basis. And she said " Oh, I could never live without my ice cream, cookies, pizza and cheesecake " !!! And I thought " Good Grief Lady!! Yes, you CAN live without those things, and if you continue to eat that way, you won't live much longer. " (I didn't say that out loud!) She was not willing to change, and needless to say, she never became my client. But I think the diabetes epidemic is caused, partially, by all the junk food people are eating (which in my opinion, covers a LOT of different foods).
