Guest guest
They may not die as quickly, but their memories will be terrible. You can still get cancer and depression from cannabis. N Cannabis 'could kill 30,000 a year'http://society.guardian.co.uk/drugsandalcohol/story/0,,947830,00.htmlJames Meikle, health correspondentFriday May 2, 2003The Guardian Thirty thousand Britons a year might eventually die from cannabis smoking, doctors claimed last night. They called for a battle against the drug to mirror that belatedly waged against tobacco, saying that it too could soon pose a major public health hazard. Their warning, made in an editorial in the British Medical Journal, is the most high-profile attempt yet to alert authorities to public health difficulties that might result from an apparently more liberal attitude to the drug. Guest guest
The aging dopers I know, even the "I only smoke dope" ones, are not aging well. Very many are paralyzed, have had strokes in their late 40s, and lung problems. Look at Clinton and his well-known history of cocaine abuse. He looks like he barely made it through that bypass. My guess is that he is getting "extraordinary care" as the rest of his organs are trying to shut down, otherwise he'd be dead. ..
Guest guest
Cancer is far less than expected even in chronic lifetime cannabis users, so the extrapolation IS scaremongering as the article notes. Guest guest
Duncan Yes. But the article itself is the misinformation. The truth is the cannabis binds to certain hormone receptors. Once the bond has taken place, certain hormonesproductions are either stopped or induced to overproduce a hormone like serotine ornoradrenaline or dopamine. Have you noticed more static on your television channels, in your telephone line whenyou are on the phone over the course of the last few years??? This static is a type of pulsed magnetic field using electromagnetic fields (EMF)This is what will cause the cancer. Bursts of pulsed magnetic fields are what havethe ability to cause the cancer.. EMF's that are in the radiofrequency have a basicinteraction that our bodies can absorb the energy from the EMF, which can causetissue to heat up, This heat deposition can lead to biological effects ranging from discomfort to protein denaturation or the proteins are unable to carry out theircell funtions. A strong changing magnetic field can induce electrical currents in conductive tissue (our bodies tissue), such as the brain. Since the magnetic field will penetrate tissue, it can be generated outside of the head to induce currents within. They have been experimenting with this thing called Transcranial Magnetic Stimulationor TMS. These so called currents will depolarize neurons in a selected part of the brain which lead to changes in the patterns of neural activations. They have also found out that exposure to pulsed magnetic fields were found toALTER STANDING BALANCES AND PAIN PERCEPTION.Basically the effect of TMS is to change the information content in the neurons and itis a method to excite neurons in the brainDuncan Crow <duncancrow wrote: Cancer is far less than expected even in chronic lifetime cannabis users, so the extrapolation IS scaremongering as the article notes. Guest guest
JazzGive me a break. The misinformation campaign is throughly engaged. Maybe the are just trying to point a finger at something else so everyone will havea reason to say "oh so that is what is making them sick". BS. There is SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE ENVIRONMENT, AND ALSO OURWATER SUPPLY. Species are dying left and right. Plants, trees, animals, fish, andof course us the homosapiens species. The babies first, whose immune systems arenot fully developed yet, then whatever is screwing with the immune systems ofplants, trees, animals, fish will sooner and not later affect us. We eat those plants, and animals and fish that are dying in this environment. What ever is making thosespecies die, we have already put into our bodies before they told us the species, orplants were dying.E.COLLI JUST FOUND A NEW PLACE TO CALL HOME OUTSIDE IN OUR ENVIRONMENT. I WONDER HOW THAT HAPPENED OUT OF THE BLUE.give me a break, jazbeccaJazziDJess wrote: The aging dopers I know, even the "I only smoke dope" ones, are not aging well. Guest guest
you have exactly no relative points in your response. cocaine is cocaine and marijuana is marijuana. Did you ever think there may be other factors why these "I only smoke dope" ones are not aging well such as diet, exercise, and personal care. 30,000 is nothing compared to the deaths caused by alcohol, fast food, tobacco, big drug companies, etc.JazziDJess wrote: The aging dopers I know, even the "I only smoke dope" ones, are not aging well.
