CLINTON FRENCH CONNECTIONS TO GEORGE ALLEN LYNCHING

CLINTONS CONNECTED TO THE GEORGE ALLEN LYNCHING

Are Saddams Saddemocrats Behind The George Allen Lynching

Politics and Bedfellows An Age Old Story Told Once Again We start

with the following excerpt from:

http://newsbusters.org/node/7862

" TFL started in 1996 by Dr. Ken Shelton of Hendersonville

Radiological Consultants and is currently operating out of an office

on the Pardee Hospital campus. Pardee Hospital Foundation acts as

TFL's fiscal agent and provides TFL with 501c3 nonprofit status.

Interesting that Shelton claims that an Allen Presidential candidacy

is what made him so suddenly concerned as to begin writing down

recollections several months ago. Exactly how much prodding did his

memory require if this was so significant at the time?... "

SOURCE: http://newsbusters.org/node/7862

We are very interested to know whether Todd Webb is related to

James Webb, a.k.a. Jim Webb, who is running against Senator Allen in

Virginia. Relatively speaking, in a manner of speaking we do not

know if

Senator George Allen's opponent in the 2006 US Senate race James

Webb is related to Todd Webb. Todd Webb? You may remember Todd

Webb's name from his listing as the " Pardee Hospital Foundation

Treasurer Todd A. Webb " at:

http://pardeehospital.org/foundation/who_we_are/board/index.htm and

Pardee Hospital. We do not believe radiologist Ken Shelton's tall

tale about Senator Allen. We think that tall tale may well have been

inspired

by a number of things. Let's share those things with you here. We

firmly believe Senator Allen's denial of the deer head story.

How it was fabricated. Who fabricated it, remains to be seen.

Here now some background material to consider:

" HBO BROADCAST TRANSCRIPT April 22, 2005 Episode #309 " REAL TIME

WITH BILL MAHER " BILL MAHER JANE FONDA (via satellite) JOE

SCARBOROUGH MAUREEN DOWD Sen. ALAN SIMPSON ROBERT F. KENNEDY, JR.

MAHER: No.

(Senator) SIMPSON: --for shooting mailboxes. [laughter]

SCARBOROUGH : Front page of the L.A. Times says – and this is in the

lead – front page of the L.A. Times – that some more information is

coming out about John Bolton that proves he's not fit to serve at

the U.N. Why, he once slammed a phone down and yelled at somebody.

Three years from now, Hillary Clinton is going to be running for

President of the United States, and I wonder if the same Democratic

Senators that think him slamming the phone down disqualifies him are

going to think Hillary – or running down a hall in Russia and

shooting documents underneath the doors, should disqualify him –will

disqualify Hillary Clinton from being President of the United States

because she threw lamps in the White House residence. MAHER: At her

husband! SCARBOROUGH : Exactly. [laughter] The Commander in Chief!

" The Art of Political Humor

by Jeff Greenfield John F. Kennedy Library and Foundation

October 16, 2002 SENATOR ALAN SIMPSON: I remember one of my

campaigns where this guy said, " You know, Simpson's hiding something

from us. " I had told him I'd been on federal probation for shooting

mailboxes… " We think the Shelton Big Lie about the deer head in the

mail box was made up out of whole cloth, and was probably inspired

by the Simpson mail box incident and the Godfather horse's head

incident.

Clearly Hillary Clinton's damage control team had to have focused in

on the REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER episode excerpted from above. We

believe that what Shelton is saying is absolutely

untrue. " During a deer hunt with Allen in the early 1970s " Shelton

lied, " Allen asked whether black families lived in the area before

stuffing a female deer's head into the mail box of a black

household. " George insisted on taking the severed head, and I was a

little shocked by that, " Shelton lied. " This was just after the

movie `The Godfather' came out with the severed horse's head in the

bed, " Shelton lied to the AP. Doug Jones, who said he roomed with

Shelton at Virginia, said in a statement that he never saw or heard

anything from Allen that supports Shelton `s claims. " I never heard

George Allen use any racially disparaging word nor did I ever

witness or hear about him acting in a racially insensitive manner, "

Jones said. "

Please pay particular attention to the following item in the article

below in which Senator Warner is comparing the invitation to the

50th birthday party for Larry Sabato to Marlon Brando's " offer you

can't refuse " .

Surely that line must have stuck with Larry Sabato.

Larry Sabato must have remembered that line.

" U.S. Senator John Warner, R-Va., compared the invitation to Marlon

Brando's " offer you can't refuse. "

In case you are not a fan of The Godfather, which starred Marlon

Brando Senator Warner's 2002 reference was to Marlon Brando's

character Don Vito Corleone, The Godfather, " Don Vito's line, " I'm

going to make him an offer he can't refuse " was voted as the second

most memorable line in cinema history in a 2005 poll "

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Godfather

The reference is to a character being pressured by The Godfather to

use a film star favored by The Godfather waking up to find the

severed head of a horse in his bed.

Birthday Bashing

Politicians, professors and students gather to celebrate Larry J.

Sabato's 50th birthday and raise money for the Center for Politics…

Katie

Sullivan , Cavalier Daily Associate Editor

… Clearly, these people could only have gathered for one reason—to

celebrate Politics Prof. Larry J. Sabato's 50th birthday. Virginia

politicians, political analysts, journalists and University students

and alumni gathered Monday night in the Richmond Marriot to wish

Sabato a happy birthday... a few prominent Virginia politicians

humorously chose to light something else on fire—Sabato's reputation.

The celebration, called the " Sabato Five-O, " took the form of a

roast a la Comedy Central. The event also served as a fundraiser for

The University of Virginia Center for Politics, of which Sabato

serves as director.

The Center for Politics, located on Old Ivy Road …After the crowd

made its way

into the dining room, former Virginia

Gov. L. Douglas Wilder introduced himself as emcee of the night's

festivities, and proceeded to introduce a video, much like those

shown at bachelor parties.

The video started out with photos of Sabato's youth, then moved to

doctored photographs including Sabato as Elvis and an onlooker in

the fateful photograph of former President Clinton and Monica

Lewinsky. …The program then gave six of Virginia `s most powerful

politicians

the opportunity to poke fun at a man who, as he himself claimed, has

predicted defeat for every one of them…. Virginia Attorney General

Jerry Kilgore

spoke about Sabato's ability

to state the obvious and make it sound profound, then joked about

Sabato's abundance of media exposure.

" He spends so much time in front of the camera lights, " Kilgore

said, " that when he opens his fridge at night he speaks for three

minutes. " … U.S. Senator George Allen, R-Va., cited a need to keep

Sabato off their backs.

" There are places we'd rather be, " Allen said. " But we didn't want

to cross the good professor. "

U.S. Senator John Warner, R-Va., compared the invitation to Marlon

Brando's " offer you can't refuse. "

…Allen mentioned budgets cuts facing the University as well, and,

indicating Warner, said, " If he cuts your budget next year, Larry,

put it in your file as something mean a Democrat did to you. " Allen,

who attended the University as an undergraduate with Sabato,

remembered Sabato's beginnings as a student who wanted to fight the

power of special interest groups. " Then I see this gathering, " Allen

said. " You make Hillary Clinton look like a pike. "

Other commentary centered on Sabato's role as a professor...

Politics Prof. Larry J. Sabato covers his face in embarassment as

U.S. Senator George Allen teases Sabato about his excessive on-

camera time. Peter Dunn I Cavalier Daily source:

that organization states:

" The National Conference of Christians and Jews, changed its name in

the 1990's to better reflect its mission to build whole and

inclusive communities. The historic name confused many, who believed

that NCCJ was an interfaith organization. Therefore the new name is

not a change in vision, but rather an affirmation of our abiding

commitment to embrace the diversity of our nation. NCCJ is the only

national human relations organization that focuses on a broad range

of " isms, " the multiple manifestations of discrimination and

oppression that are based on one's religion, race, gender, sexual

are real. To confront and overcome them, NCCJ maintains an abiding

We hope that you will rember the name of the James H. Cummings

Foundation of Buffalo in the article above.

It is the interesting

cross connections between the characters involved in the character

assassination and overall lynching of Senator Allen that lead us to

believe that there are just too many coincidences involved to be

pure coincidence. However, to paraphrase Fox News once again, " We

report, you decide! " What do you think of the so-called coincidences

in this story? Are they more than mere coincidence?

Remember the name John N. Walsh Jr.? You do if you read Are Saddams

John N. Walsh Jr. is also a relative of John N. Walsh, III.

Recall if you will Doctor Ken Shelton. Dr. Who? No not the British

science fiction series time traveler in any of his many

incarnations. Doctor Ken Shelton is the man we firmly believe is

lying. Of course lies are nothing new to Saddam's Saddemocrats.

Recall if you will the 2004 fake Dan Rather memo falsely accusing

President Bush on his National Guard record. The Big Lie is nothing

new to these people. They are masters of The Big Lie. We think

Shelton is falsely accusing Virginia Republican US Senator George

Allen. We believe that what Shelton is saying is absolutely

Jones said. " Whoever wrote the frame up script against George Allen

may well have been inspired by the story told by Senator Simpson

regarding shooting at mailboxes and by the Godfather movie reference

at the Larry Sabato birthday party. Was it Sabato himself? Was it

French intelligence? Was it Hillary Clinton? We really do not know.

Who do you think wrote it? The first item below is excerpted from

then President Bill Clinton),traveled to Naples, Italy, again for

the G-7 Summit. " Whether it was at that summit, or at some other

time, we suspect that Hillary Rodham Clinton may well have met with

none other than Anne Lauvergeon. Anne Lauvergeon is listed as number

eight in The 100 Most Powerful Women at:

We wonder if Anne Lauvergeon and Hillary Rodham Clinton may have met

at some function or other of something called the " Young Leaders

Program " . The program is described as: " The Young Leaders is the

flagship program of the French-American Foundation and continues to

be central to the Foundation's success in deepening understanding

between France and the United States. The program was created in

1981 in response to observations that the close working

relationships between French and American leaders in the post-war

period were waning as new, younger leaders rose with little exposure

to their transatlantic counterparts. From its inception, the program

has taken small groups of carefully selected up-and-coming leaders

in government, business, the media, the military and the non-profit

sector and provided them the opportunity to spend four days

discussing issues of common concern and, most importantly, getting

to know each other. The relaxed atmosphere and the off-the-record

nature of the conferences have fostered trenchant and open

discussions of policy and social issues, and have been very

successful in facilitating the development of a new network of

transatlantic leaders. The 18 meetings which have been held since

1981 have been attended by 250 influential men and women, many of

whom have gone on to positions of significant responsibility. Young

Leaders include such prominent American as President Clinton,

Senators Bill Bradley and Hillary Clinton, General Wesley Clark, …as

well as business leaders… On the French side, past participants

include several distinguished business leaders, such as, Anne

Lauvergeon (with Areva)…Roundtables are moderated by past

participants with relevant expertise. An emphasis is always placed

on creating an informal, frank dialogue: discussions are therefore

strictly off-the-record. The group stays together throughout the

length of the conference, with meals, free time and group activities

providing further opportunities to develop personal relationships

and networks, and promote cross-cultural understanding.... "

" Iran Asks France to Oversee Enrichment

October 3rd, 2006 By ANGELA CHARLTON Associated Press Writer PARIS A

top Iranian nuclear official proposed Tuesday that France create a

consortium to enrich uranium in Iran, saying that could satisfy

international demands for outside oversight of Tehran `s nuclear

program. " To be able to arrive at a solution, we have just had an

idea. We propose that France create a consortium for the production

in Iran of enriched uranium, " Mohammad Saeedi, deputy chief of

Iran `s Atomic Energy Organization, told France-Info radio. " That way

France , through the companies Eurodif and Areva, could control in a

tangible way our enrichment activities, " he said.

Eurodif is a branch of Areva, a French state-controlled nuclear

manufacturer, and was created in part with Iranian backing in the

1970s. " ...European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana gave a

cautious response to the proposal, saying the idea of a consortium

had long been discussed in his talks with Larijani. " It's an

interesting thing, but it's difficult to put it in place, " Solana

said on the sidelines of an EU defense ministers' meeting in

Finland .Iranian state television, in a commentary Tuesday, said the

proposal amounted to a " a test ... to assess the extent of the

French government's realism and flexibility. " It said timing of the

proposal following talks between Larijani and Solana " shows Iran `s

determination in seeking a negotiated settlement " over Tehran `s

nuclear activities....Iran's participation in Eurodif was reduced

after the 1979 revolution, and now Iran has a " purely financial "

stake of about 11 percent through a joint French-Iranian company

called Sofidif, Hufnagel said. "

" It was hardly a secret that Saddam was aiming to develop nuclear

weapons. He ahd already shelled out $3 billion, purchasing much of

the equipment from the french. Indeed Saddam had even given an

of the Arab atomic weapon. "

" Although Saddam had been obtaining most of his arms from the Soviet

Union since the early 1970s, the top of the line equipment he really

craved was Western. So he had begun cultivating the Europeans,

especially the French, and in September 1975 he found himself flying

into Paris for a champagne reception offered by Prime Minister

Jacques Chirac. It was not long before France, which saw billions of

francs worth of business just over the horizon, began selling Saddam

missiles, helicopters, defense electronics, and ultimately the

materials and technology he needed to construct a nuclear reactor.

So obvious was his intended use of this technology that the French

press even allowed itself some grim humor, referring to the Iraqi

reactor as " O'Chirac " . After he approved the Osirak deal and other

weapons transactions for Baghdad, he became known in certain French

business circles as " Mr.Iraq. "

" If Baghdad's nuclear weapons ambitions were acknowledged by London

and Washington at the same time they were officially condemned by

them, the same was true of Iraqi chemical weapons development. The

Iraqis would frequently order BNL to provide funds to finance a huge

petrochemicals complex called PC2, located above seventy kilometers

south of Baghdad, near the natural gas feeder lines that came from

the southern oil fields. PC2 was to be the pride of the Iraqi

military establishment because it had the support of contractors

from the United States, Japan, Italy, France and Britain. More

significant, as Western intelligence agents knew, although PC2 would

manufacture normal petrochemicals upon completion, like many of

Saddam's disguised operations, it would be dual-use. This meant it

would be able to generate chemical compounds needed to make mustard

gas and nerve gas as well. The head of Iraq's chemicals industry,

Lieutenant General Amer Hamoudi al Saadi, was proud of PC2. Al Saadi

was himself a dual operative-his other job was as head of Saddam's

ballistic missile and chemical weapons programs, reporting to

Hussein Kamel and his father-in-law, Saddam Hussein. "

" Francois Mitterrand's political career spanned half a century, and

his 14 years as president made him France `s longest serving leader

since Napoleon III. Peter Morgan of Independent Television News

remembers Mitterrand just after his death. Morgan's report precedes

a discussion between Washington Post senior foreign correspondent

Jim Hoagland and Charlayne Hunter-Gault.

PETER MORGAN, ITN: Francois Mitterrand worked at first for Marshal

Petain's pro-Nazi Vichy government. Later, he downplayed his ties

with that regime and stressed his work for the Resistance. FRANCOIS

MITTERRAND: (speaking through interpreter) I started my political

life in the Resistance. It was there that I had my first

responsibility.

PETER MORGAN: But a recently discovered photograph showing

Mitterrand with Marshal Petain suggested a more uncomfortable

truth. Mitterrand continued to lead a political double life,

cultivating the extreme right and the extreme left to further his

career. Soon after the liberation, Mitterrand joined the government

as its youngest minister, but when DeGaulle returned to power in

1958, Mitterrand left the government. In political exile, the former

conservative discovered Socialism. DeGaulle always ridiculed the

conversion. " http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/remember/mitterrand_1-

as a young man and was also, for a time, an admirer of the pro-Nazi

collaborationist leader Marchal Petain. Mitterrand himself helped

the author's research and never disavowed the facts presented in the

biography. " http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/9601/mitterand/ " Even in death,

Mitterrand remains a controversial and contradictory figure. After

the Nazi conquest of France , he spent a year working for the

collaborationist Vichy government… he defended associates who had

aided the persecution of Jews under the Vichy regime. "

The Arab Boycott Michael Bar-Zohar Publisher Information:

New York : Dutton. Penguin, 1996.

ISBN: 0525940685

" The business of L'Oreal is beauty. It is the world's largest

cosmetics firm. " This startling book shows the other face of

beauty. It is the story of how this giant company became a haven

for ex-Nazis. It reveals the illegal alliance the L'Oreal forged

with the Arab Boycott Bureau. And it brings to light the secret link

between the L'Oreal high command and the President of France

himself, Francois Mitterrand—a link cast in the darkness of the Nazi

past. Above all, it tells the story of what happened when L'Oreal

partner Jean Frydman, a former French Resistance hero who had fought

against anti-Semitism all his life, stumbled upon and exposed the

shocking truth about L'Oreal and its web of concealed Nazi

collaborators. Making it his crusade to unmask the cosmetics firm's

long history of Nazi connections, Frydman filed suit against L'Oreal

for forgery, perjury, and racial discrimination. " Though the Nazi

movement of the 1930s and 1940s appears to be moribund, vestiges

still remain—and in some unlikely places. Official biographer of

David Ben-Gurion and novelist, Bar-Zohar documents the very strange

truth of how certain top L'Oreal managers collaborated with Hitler

and how they conspired to eradicate an existing Arab boycott on

their products in the 1990s. The story begins—and ends—with Jean

Frydman, a French-Israeli executive running one of the cosmetic

giant's subsidiaries. Told to resign for no apparently valid reason,

Frydman launched a series of investigations and lawsuits that

eventually led to the resignations of high-ranking businessmen.

Jacques Correze, the president of L'Oreal's Cosmair in New York

City , was part of La Cagoule, a band of Hitler sympathizers; and

Andre Bettencourt, a L'Oreal director and friend of French president

Mitterrand, was found to have been on the payroll of the propaganda

ministry of Nazi Germany. Revelations such as these shocked the

world press—and will probably do the same for readers in this well-

wrought, fact-filled book. "

Library Journal: " Bar-Zohar. a specialist on Jewish-Arab relations,

presents another masterpiece (previously published in Israel ) about

the corruptions and violations of France `s anti-boycott laws by

L'Oreal, a giant French conglomerate, with the `zealous cooperation

of the French embassy in Damascus ` and other important French

dignitaries. Bar-Zohar relates how L'Oreal yielded to the Arab

boycott of Israeli products, which started even before the birth of

the state of Israel . He also gives a fascinating look into

France `s murky past during World War II, following the complex

story of President Francois Mitterand's right-wing connections

during his youth, activities as an official of the Petain government

at Vichy , and his continued and shadowy ties with top L'Oreal

executives. The author also delves into the shadowy past of L'Oreal

owner Andre Bettencourt, a cabinet minister, senator, and recipient

of the Resistance medal who was on the payroll of the Propaganda

Ministry of Nazi Germany. Bar-Zohar's work is richly detailed and

clearly argued but not well documented. It is a remarkable work

designed for nonspecialists. "

Publishers Weekly: " In 1989, Jean Frydman, a director of L'Oreal,

the highly profitable Paris-based cosmetics conglomerate, learned he

had " resigned " at a board of directors meeting that never actually

took place. A hero of the French Resistance, founder of Paravision

(a L'Oreal subsidiary), a Jew and a part-time resident of Israel ,

Frydman suspected that his resignation had been forged to meet the

demands of the Arab League, which, at that time, was enforcing an

illegal ban in both France and the U.S. on businesses with ties to

Israel . He later began to suspect that the instigator of his

removal was Jacques Correze, a former Nazi collaborator and

convicted war criminal who was head of the company's U.S. operation.

The ensuing lawsuits created a scandal in France . As retold by Bar-

Zohar, a novelist and a biographer of David Ben-Gurion, L'Oreal was

a hotbed of former Nazi sympathizers all too willing to bribe and be

pressured by anti-Zionists. It also had friends in high places, Bar-

Zohar claims, as high as French President Francois Mitterand. "

" Trouble With Uranium Processing Co. H. Josef Hebert

Associated Press April 11, 2000 WASHINGTON (AP) - Less than two

years after the government sold its uranium business, the private

company it created to take on the job is mired in financial

quicksand. The deal is also jeopardizing a crucial nuclear security

agreement with Russia , critics say. USEC Inc.'s (NYSE:USU -news)

first 20 months as a private company have been anything but smooth.

Its stock has dropped 70 percent, its credit rating is in junk bond

territory, and its earnings have nose dived. Amid the financial

turmoil, lawmakers and others are questioning the sale. A

congressional investigation has been under way for a year, with the

first public hearings scheduled this week. While investors have

lost millions of dollars, some of the people who pushed hardest for

an initial stock offering have profited handsomely.

" A number of lobbyists, company insiders and investment bankers made

a killing financially, " said Charles Lewis, director of the Center

for Public Integrity, a private government watchdog.

In all, Wall Street bankers, Washington lawyers and lobbyists – many

with close ties to the Clinton administration – earned more than $75

million on the $1.9 billion sale, according to contracts and

interviews. Among those talking up the stock offering in 1998 on

Capitol Hill and in the White House were Susan Thomases, a New York

lawyer and confidante of Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Greg Simon,

formerly Vice President Al Gore's domestic policy adviser. The law

firm of Skadden Arps, which represented President Clinton in the

Paula Jones case, was USEC's lead attorney in the deal. "

This from another source:

" What Wilson Didn't Say About Africa Joseph Wilson's Silent Partners

By Fedora with help from a few FReeper friends Former ambassador

Joseph Wilson has been a leading spokesman for critics who accuse

President Bush of basing his case for war against Iraq on forged

documents purporting that Iraq attempted to buy uranium from Niger.

Wilson's charge has been discredited by a Senate investigation,1 but

what

remains unanswered are questions arising from what is now known

about French

intelligence's role...The role of France and Wilson in undermining

Bush's case

for war looks particularly curious in light of disclosures about

Saddam

Hussein's bribery of foreign political and business figures during

the course of

the Oil-for-Food program from 1996 to 2003. Saddam's web of graft

spun in many

directions: among others, to UN officials,Russian and Chinese oil

companies,

British critics of Tony Blair's Iraq policies, and US critics of

President

Bush's Iraq policies, as well as France. Near the center of the web

was the

Banque Nationale de Paris, where Iraq's Oil-for-Food revenues were

initially

kept until 2001, when they were redistributed among several

undisclosed banks

approved by Iraq. Meanwhile French oil company TotalFinaElf received

Oil-for-Food vouchers and held a contract to develop oil fields in

southern

Iraq.2

Already in December 2001, Russia had announced it would not support

a US attack on Iraq.3 Then shortly after President Bush's January

29, 2002 State of the Union Address named Iraq as a member of a

terrorist-sponsoring " Axis of Evil " , France announced on February

22, 2002 that Europe would not support a US attack on Iraq.4 French

intelligence soon began a campaign to discredit the US case for war

against Iraq. In 1999, French intelligence had begun investigating

the security of uranium supplies in Niger, where uranium production

was controlled by a consortium led by the French mining company

COGEMA, a division of the French state-owned nuclear energy firm

AREVA.

Wilson, a lifetime Francophile, had spent the bulk of his diplomatic

career in former French African colonies like Niger.7 His second

wife from 1986 to 1998, Jacqueline, had served the French embassy in

Burundi as a " cultural counselor " (a function often used as a cover

by French intelligence).8 From Wilson's experience in Niger he was

familiar with the Niger uranium industry. Additionally, he had

worked in Iraq during the days leading up to the Gulf War.

(Intriguingly, on the eve of Iraq's invasion of Kuwait Wilson had

dined at the home of an arms dealer who bought weapons for Iraq from

France; a Vanity Fair profile on Wilson mentions his wife's presence

at this event, but Wilson's book states " I was the only guest. " ).9

Wilson ran his company out of the offices of an investment company

called Rock Creek Corporation. Rock Creek was controlled by Mohammed

Alamoudi, whom Wilson had met in 1997 at a reception organized for

the World Bank by Westar Group. Alamoudi was a member of the Saudi-

Ethiopian Alamoudi dynasty, which was heavily invested in the

segments of the African economy Wilson was seeking to penetrate. The

Alamoudi-affiliated company Delta Services—a Swiss subsidiary of the

Saudi company Delta Oil—handled Iraqi oil export contracts in 2000

and 2001 and was revealed in 2003 as a recipient of Iraqi Oil-for-

Food vouchers channeled through Abu Abbas, a Palestinian terrorist

with Iraqi connections. Delta Services also cooperated with

Afghanistan's Taliban regime in a project to build an oil pipeline

from Afghanistan to Pakistan, prior to this project's suspension in

1998. In 1999, Alamoudi was accused by USA Today reporter Jack

Kelley of heading a bank which was being investigated for financing

Al Qaeda. USA Today printed retractions of several details in

Kelley's article in 2004, after another member of the Alamoudi

family—Abdurahman Alamoudi, a prominent American Muslim lobbyist—was

indicted on terror-related charges involving a Libyan-backed

conspiracy to assassinate Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Abdullah.

Abdurahman was ultimately convicted in October 2004 and sentenced to

23 years in prison.12 Under Mohammed Alamoudi's direction, Rock

Creek was chaired by Elias Aburdene, an Arab-American international

banking advisor and lobbyist who had previously advised banks linked

to organized crime and intelligence community figures involved in

the S & L Scam. In 2003 and 2004 Aburdene donated to the Sandhills

Political Action Committee, which was affiliated with Senator Chuck

Hagel, 13 a leading Republican critic of the Bush administration's

Iraq policy.14

While Wilson was pursuing his foreign investment ventures, he also

served as a foreign policy advisor to the 2000 Presidential campaign

of Al Gore. A company the Gore family had a long-term relationship

with, Occidental Petroleum, shared business interests with Alamoudi-

affiliated companies in Africa and the Middle East, and employed as

Vice President for Middle East business Odeh Aburdene,24 who shared

a complex network of relationships with Rock Creek's Elias Aburdene

and Joseph Wilson—notably, all three contributed to Arab-American

Congressional Caucus leader Nick Rahall,25 who supported Muslim

lobbying groups linked to terrorists and opposed military action in

Iraq.26 Abdurahman Alamoudi also contributed to Rahall, and sat on

the steering committee of Arab Americans for Clinton/Gore `96 along

with his associate James Zogby, who later advised Gore's 2000

Presidential campaign.27 Wilson had worked as an aide to Gore from

1985 to 1986 and had developed a friendly relationship with him.

Wilson says Gore was the first person outside the State Department

to contact him expressing support when he was caught in Iraq in the

middle of the diplomatic crisis leading up to the Gulf War. In 1997

Gore recommended Wilson to President Clinton to help him plan a trip

to Africa. When Wilson began publicly opposing Bush's Iraq policy in

2002, Gore was still considered a potential candidate in the 2004

election. Gore's speeches were then being sponsored by the antiwar

group Moveon.org, which Wilson would support in September 2003 in an

attempt to petition Congress against appropriating funds for Iraq

operations.28 Moveon.org was financed by billionaire George Soros,29

who had business interests encompassing, among other things, the BTC

Pipeline that Mohammed Alamoudi's Delta Oil was helping build.30

Later, after Gore announced in December 2002 that he would not be

running in the 2004 campaign,31 Moveon.org began supporting John

Kerry's campaign.32 Wilson began advising Kerry's campaign on

foreign policy matters around May 2003, several months prior to his

public entry into the Niger uranium controversy.33

Another question that might be raised is why Wilson and the CIA's

investigation did not explore at least the possibility of the French-

led company COGEMA covertly allowing Niger to sell uranium to Iraq.

In Wilson's book, while explaining the method that led him to

conclude the report of Niger selling uranium to Iraq was false,

Wilson explains that he ruled out the possibility of an off-the-

books transaction partly because " COGEMA, as the managing partner,

would have had to know and be complicit. " 37 This seems to rule out a

priori the very thing Wilson was sent to investigate, and in the

process, to rule out the possibility of French complicity in arming

Saddam Hussein's regime, which seems a hasty exoneration in light of

the fact that France had a long history of selling Iraq military

equipment and resisting UN sanctions against Iraq.38 It is now known

that in fact French companies were helping Iraq skirt UN

sanctions.39 "

We thought you might wish to find out a bit more about C.A.I.R.

from " Daniel Pipes, a former Reagan administration Middle East aide

who now runs the Middle East Forum in Philadelphia and the

wonderfully informative Web site DanielPipes.org: Mr. Pipes says:

" CAIR is a particularly worrisome organization because it has

succeeded in portraying itself as a public affairs organization

promoting `interest and understanding among the general public with

regards to Islam and Muslims in North America.' In fact, this

organization is radical to the core; it seeks nothing less than the

imposition of Islamist mores on the United States. " Mr. Pipes notes

that CAIR's record includes the following: " Apologizing for such

killers as Hamas (a group associated with the murder of 7 Americans)

and Usama bin Ladin (charged with the Tanzania and Kenya embassy

bombings a year ago). . . . Helping promote terrorism: In the words

of Steve Pomerantz, a former Chief of Counter-terrorism for the

FBI, `CAIR, its leaders, and its activities, effectively give aid to

international terrorist groups.' . . . Intimidation of patriotic

Muslims who disagree with CAIR's chauvinist agenda: In one case

(Sheikh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani), the FBI is looking into charges

that he received death threats after renouncing the

chauvinists. . . Defense of even the most archaic and barbaric of

customs associated with Islam: When a prosecutor in Cleveland argued

that the bail of two young men being held for an `honor killing' of

their female cousin should be increased, CAIR replied by accusing

him of `ethnic and religious stereotyping' and called for a formal

investigation into the prosecutor's actions. " In addition, as anti-

terrorism expert Steven Emerson has noted in Congressional

testimony, CAIR co-sponsored a May 24, 1998, all-day program in the

Walt Whitman Auditorium of Brooklyn College in Brooklyn, New York.

As Mr. Emerson testified, " In Arabic,Wagdi Ghuniem, a militant

Islamic cleric from Egypt, mesmerized his audience, with his

relentless tirade against the Jews, reminding them of the

Jews' `infidelity,' `stealth' and `deceit.' Known for his folksy

deliveries and exhortations to commit violence against the Jews,

Ghuniem did not disappoint his crowd, several of whom had come just

to hear him. The conflict with the Jews, he said, was not over land

but one of religion. `The problem of Palestine is not a problem of

belief. suppose the Jews said " Palestine-you [Muslims] can take it. "

Would it then be ok? What would we tell them? No! The problem is

belief, it is not a problem of land.' " Mr. Emerson

continued: " Ghuniem then led his rapt audience, which numbered as

many as 500, in a special song, the audience responsively repeating

each refrain: `No to the Jews, Descendants of the Apes.' " Says Mr.

Pipes: " In short, CAIR represents not the great civilization of

Islam but a radical utopian movement originating in the Middle East

that seeks to impose its ways on the United States. Americans should

consider themselves warned: a new danger exists in their midst. "

You may have heard of George Beam, currently Senior Vice President

of Nuclear Services for AREVA NP Inc., recently Writing about the

imaginary deer hunt, which was really a hunt that never happened

DALE EISMAN, wrote in The Virginian-Pilot on September 28, 2006

about one " George Beam, now an executive at a nuclear engineering

firm based in Lynchburg,(Virginia). "

Beam, wrote Eisman: " was not part of the hunting party. " Which is of

course true because there was no hunt and no hunting party to begin

with.

Eisman writes that Beam " told the Associated Press that one of the

hunters, his now-deceased roommate, Bill Lanahan, described the

incident to him later over a beer. " Billy Lanahan told me they cut

the head off a deer and stuffed it in a mailbox. He didn't say whose

idea it was, and he didn't say, at least not in my presence,

anything about a black family or a black neighborhood, "

In our opinion Beam lied to the AP.

Eisman's article continued: " Allen insisted Monday that " The deer

head story is... pure fabrication, absolutely false. " The senator

and several of his former classmates also have denied allegations

that he routinely used the " n " word to refer to blacks.

Beam did not return several calls Wednesday from The Virginian-

Pilot...Dick Wadhams, Allen's campaign manager, insisted Wednesday

that there is no evidence to support Shelton `s claim and called

Shelton and Beam " sad and pathetic " for bringing Lanahan, who died

earlier this year, into the dispute. " The incident did not occur.

This gentleman is just piling on to a false story, " he said of Beam,

adding later that " I have no idea why he would do it. "

(The fabricated " hunt " allegedly)

the article being quoted continues:

" took place on land owned by Lanahan's family in Louisa County ,

east of Charlottesville. Maj. Donald Lowe of the Louisa Sheriff's

Department said Wednesday that a search this week of department

records failed to produce any evidence of a complaint concerning a

deer's head....Lowe said the sheriff's department also has

interviewed several deputies from the early 1970s as well as with

black community leaders at the time. None recalled any complaint

concerning a deer's head.…

We do not believe Areva Senior Vice President George Beam's story

about the imaginary " deer hunt " .

Here is Beam being quoted on August 2, 2006

AREVA wins contract for replacement reactor vessel head project at

Diablo Canyon power plant...AREVA, through its subsidiary AREVA NP,

has received a contract from Pacific Gas & Electric Company for two

replacement reactor vessel heads at the Diablo Canyon Power Plant

Units One and Two. " The replacement Reactor Vessel Closure Head

(RVCH) project is particularly exciting because we are working with

AREVA to fabricate RVCHs in the United States for the first time in

many years. " " A replacement reactor vessel head with a state-of-the-

art integrated head assembly is one of the best economic options for

a commercial nuclear utility to choose in today's cost and safety

conscious environment to ensure continued operational safety as well

as guarantee shorter outage durations and less cumulative personnel

dose in the future. AREVA looks forward to working with PG & E to

provide clean, safe, cost effective nuclear power for years to come "

said George Beam, Senior Vice President of AREVA NP Inc. "

The axis of evil certainly figures into this story. Whether it is

Iran, Iraq or North Korea.

" Reprocessing is the chemical separation of the spent fuel into its

three parts—plutonium, uranium, and highly radioactive reactor

waste. Several countries have the capability to reprocess North

Korea's spent fuel, but only two—the United Kingdom and

France —have companies that offer commercial reprocessing

services.\3 These

companies also have direct experience in reprocessing magnox fuel—

the type of

fuel used in

North Korea `s 5-MW(e) reactor.\4 Two companies provide commercial

reprocessing

services—British Nuclear Fuels plc. (BNFL) of the

United Kingdom and Cogema of France—and both have expressed interest

in

reprocessing North Korea's spent fuel.\5 If either of these

companies is

selected to do the reprocessing, under normal circumstances, the

repackaged

spent fuel would be picked up, transported to the company's

reprocessing

facility, and placed in interim storage until it is reprocessed.

Neither company

would normally take title to the spent fuel or the

products of reprocessing so, unless other arrangements are made, the

separated materials would be stored for up to 5 years and,

eventually, returned to the country of origin. The specific terms of

the commercial arrangement would be defined in a contract between the

parties. According to BNFL, other matters—such as ownership and

liability for the fuel after its removal—would be defined in letters

between the governments. According to BNFL, reprocessing

North Korea `s spent fuel would result in approximately 25 kilograms

of

plutonium, 50,000 kilograms of uranium, and 160 liters (one

canister) of

high-level waste. If the spent fuel is reprocessed, the separated

plutonium and

uranium would

be purified and converted into stable compounds that can be safely

stored until final disposal.\6 The separated uranium and plutonium

could be used as fuel for a nuclear power reactor. If not used as

fuel, the plutonium would be disposed of in an underground

radioactive waste repository, and the uranium would be stored for its

economic value and potential use. The radioactive waste would be

mixed with melted glass and poured into a steel canister to harden—a

process called vitrification—and eventually disposed of in an

underground repository.\7

BNFL representatives estimated that it would cost between $50 million

to $100 million to transport and reprocess

North Korea `s spent fuel,

treat the waste, and store the resulting products for up to 5

years.\8 In addition to the cost of reprocessing, costs would also be

incurred for the final disposal of the plutonium and the one canister

of radioactive waste in an underground repository. We could not

determine the costs of disposing of these materials because, among

other factors, the disposal location and the cost of preparing the

materials for disposal are not known.\9 "

Then there is the issue of James Webb, a.k.a. Jim Webb, who is

running against Senator Allen in Virginia.

" An Iraqi plane…attacked the USS Stark (FFG 31), a Perry class

frigate on May 17th 1987 , killing 37 and injuring 21. However, U.S.

attention was focused on isolating Iran " (The United

States) " sponsored

UN Security Council Resolution 598,

http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/UN_Security_Council_Resolution/598

which passed unanimously on July 20th, 1987 under which it

skirmished with Iranian forces. In October 1987, the U.S. attacked

Iranian oil platforms. " UNHOLY BABLYON

" France had begun supplying Iraq with arms in 1967 and continued

until early 1990, by which time it had overtaken China as Baghdad `s

second-largest supplier after the Soviet Union . The inventory of

items supplied during thirteen years is lengthy. In addition to

Mystere and Mirage fighters, it includes Alouette, Gazelle, Puma and

Super Frelon helicopters supplied by Aerospatiale; HOT and Milan

anti-tank missiles and Exocet AM-39 and MM -40 anti-ship missiles

from Euromissile; as well as AMX -10-P mechanized combat vehicles

and AMX-30 main battle tanks supplied by GIAT. Other French

companies who have supplied weapons and equipment to Baghdad include

Panhard, Thompson-Brandt, Matra, Thomson CSF, Lucaire, COFRAS,

Raclet, Matra Manurhin Defense and Lacroix. "

Excerpted from Page 139

" In 1980, shortly after declaring war on Iran , the Iraqis had

turned to France in desperation after Baghdad itself was subjected

to air raids. Saddam Hussein had been advised, byl former generals

of the deposed Shah's imperial army, that the Iranians were

desperately short of trained pilots and that those who had

previously served the Shah would, if permitted to fly, take off and

not return to Iran . In fact, this was totally incorrect and it was

a grave miscalculation on Saddam Hussein's part to allow himself to

be convinced by such ill-founded beliefs. Not only did the Iraqis

fail to knock out the Iranian air force but the Iranian pilots,

putting duty before Ideology, also carried the war into the Iraqi

heartlands. Baghdad , which is only four minutes' flying time from

the border with Iran , was subjected to a series of well-planned air

attacks which exposed the inadequacy of the Iraqi air defences. The

Iraqis immediately placed orders with the French for considerable

amounts of air defence systems and eighty Mirage fighters. "

" The French arms industry had always enjoyed a full measure of

support from its government, the latter's attitude apparently being

that arms exports are in the interest of national security and that

they enable France to afford to manufacture its own

arsenal. " " There is no doubt that France considered Iraq an

important client deserving preferential treatment. There is evidence

that the French intelligence services tolerated

several `irregularities' by the Iraqi Mukhabarat on their own soil

in order to keep the path smooth for lucrative arms deals. In 1979

Barzan Takriti, Saddam Hussein's half-brother and the head of the

Mukhabarat , commissioned his deputy, Sabaawi Ibramhim, to oversee

the creation of a new network in Europe . This consisted in part of

companies owned by Iraqi residents in France which acted as fronts

for both covert procurement tasks and intelligence operations.

Sabaawi Ibrahim in turn sent Sadd Saleh Al-Jabouri, a Mukhabarat

officer, to Paris as the chief of a new bureau housed at the Iraqi

Airways office in the French capital. Part of his brief was to

mastermind the hunting down and elimination of opponents of Saddam

Hussein's regime… " " Al-Jabouri was subsequently joined by two other

Iraqis-Kadhem Al-Rabie and Nizar Hamdoun, the former an Iraqi

businessman who subsequently used his connections to set up

a `front' company and was successful in striking a number of

important arms deals in France . "

Excerpted from Page 140

" In 1967 France `s stock in the arab world had gone up following

General de Gaulle's decision to stop supplying arms to Israel … "

Excerpted from Pages 141-142 " During the first half of the 1980s,

French assistance to Iraq also extended to the loan of aircraft and

personnel for use in the conflict against Iran . On 26th, May 1983 a

secret agreement was signed by President Francious Mitterand,

covering the supply on lease of five Super Etendard aircraft. In

February of that year there had been reports in the French media

that the government was planning to sell the aircraft, complete with

Exocet missiles, to Iraq , but the Defence Minister at that time,

Charles Hernu, denied the report. However at the beginning of June,

Hernu signed an agreement with the manufacturers of the aircraft

Dassault and Snecma. Subsequently, Iraqi pilots and technicians

underwent fourteen weeks of intensive training at an airbase at

Cuers. " " On the morning of 7 October 1983 five Super Etendards left

the Brittany base of Landivisiau, staging at Corsica before

eventually making a rendezvous with the aircraft carrier Clemenceau

in the Mediterranean . During the following week, the aircraft were

repainted in Iraqi colours whilst checks were carried out to ensure

that the pilots removed all identifying insignia from their personal

equipment and that they were not carrying any incriminating

documentation. The aircraft were then flown to Iraq . " " A detachment

of thirty French military personnel, including seven pilots and

several technicians from Dassault, Snecma, Aerospatiale and Matra,

were based in Iraq to provide training and logistical support. It

was subsequently reported buy not confirmed that the pilots also

participated in missions….

The Super Etendards and their Exocet missiles proved a decisive

factor in the outcome of the (Iran-Iraq) war (in the Persian

Gulf ). The five aircraft enabled Iraq to intensify what was known

as the `tanker war', which achieved wider political objectives for

the Iraqis…It was a French-supplied Exocet which in 1987 crippled

the American frigate USS Stark, causing the US navy's rules of

engagement to be changed an ultimately resulting in America's direct

involvement in the (Iran-Iraq War in the Persian Gulf ). "

" In May 1989, it was revealed that France was negotiating with Iraq

for the supply of fifty Dassault Mirage 2000 and fifty Alpha Jet

trainer ground attack aircraft. It was, however, France and not Iraq

which had sought the deal. In efforts intensified during 1989,

Defence Minister Jean-Pierre Chevenment's visit to the four Gulf

states also included Iraq . The Iraqis were impressed by the

performance of the Mirage 2000 at the Dubai Air Show on 20th January

1989, when two Aircraft flew all the way from France , stopping once

in Egypt and refueling in mid-air several times en route. "

" Dassault, one of the jewels in the French arms industry's crown,

had supplied the Iraqis with aircraft since 1976, when it sold them

thirty-two Mirage F1EQ and foru F1BQ. A second order for twenty-

eight F1Eq-4 and three F1BQ was placed in the same year and all

these aircraft were delivered between 1983 and 1985.

A third order for twenty Mirage F1EQ-5, equipped to carry Exocet

missiles, was placed in 1981 and these were delivered between 1983

and 1985. At the same time, a further eighteen F1EQ-6 and six F1BQ

were ordered, delivery being planned to take place at intervals

between 1987 and 1989. "

Excerpted from Page 143

" In December 1989, a high-level delegation headed by Jacques

Mitterand, the president's brothers, visited Baghdad to discuss

closer cooperation on aerospace and other projects. It included in

its ranks representatives of several French companies. During their

stay, which included a visit to the Saad-16 missile development

complex near Mosul , meetings took palce with the Iraqi Deputy Prime

Minister, Sadoun Hammadi, Minster of Industry and Military

Industrialisation General Hussein Kamal Al-Majid, Transport and

Communications Minsiter Mohammad Hamza Al Zubiadi, and Oil Minister

Issam Abdul Rahmim al-Chalabi. "

" In February 1990, Jean-Pierre Chevenement paid a further visit to

Baghdad , where he met Saddam Hussein. "

Lowell Ponte, FrontPageMag.com

" No civilian nuclear program can explain the Iranian nuclear

program. It is a clandestine Iranian military nuclear program, "

But what of that other nation that poses a serious risk of

deliberately or inadvertently providing nuclear weapons to Islamo-

fascist terrorists?

This other nation was willing to give atomic weapons potential to

Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

This other nation that may beget a world of atom-wielding Ayatollahs

is France itself.

At least three paths could lead to the French arming Islamists with

nuclear weapons.

The first path to this doomsday nightmare came to public attention

in June 1981, when Israeli warplanes destroyed a nuclear reactor 18

miles south of Baghdad .

This Osirak reactor was being built by the French for Saddam

Hussein, who had already used nerve gas on his own people and on

Iranians. Hussein had already described himself as the reincarnation

of the ancient Babylonian king and mass murderer Nebuchadnezzer II

who destroyed Jerusalem around 586 BCE.

Had Israel not carried out this preemptive act of Assertive

Disarmament weeks before the reactor became operational, Hussein

could have fabricated nuclear weapons from this reactor's

radioactive output by the time he invaded neighboring Kuwait in

August 1990. The threat that Hussein could then unleash radioactive

devastation on nearby Iranian and Saudi Arabian oil facilities might

have made him too dangerous to attack....

France is among the world's leading sellers of nuclear reactors and

reprocessors and sellers of radioactive reactor fuel. Days after

President George W. Bush struck a nuclear power deal last week

between the U.S. and India , for example, a high member of France `s

National Assembly on Sunday quietly dropped the news to Reuters that

France has agreed to help develop a " peaceful " nuclear power program

for oil-rich Libya `s dictator and longtime terrorism backer Col.

Mohammar Qaddafi.

Amid the controversies over whether Saddam Hussein attempted to

procure radioactive material in Africa, few bothered to note that

the country at the center of this discussion is a former French

colony, Niger .

One of the biggest uranium mine owners and dealers in processed

uranium in Niger is COGEMA, historically 82 percent owned by the

French Atomic Energy Commission and now a subsidiary of the French-

controlled French-German consortium Areva, a major worldwide nuclear

reactor manufacturer and seller....

But, as nuclear scholar Henry Sokolski reported in 2004, " the French

firm Areva, " like its international reactor-marketing competitors,

has been " so eager to sell China nuclear-power plants that they and

their governments are turning a blind eye to…a Chinese deal to sell

Islamabad (Pakistan) a large reactor. "

Pakistan, the one Islamic nation that already has atomic weapons,

has refused to sign the nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT).

Pakistan `s chief atomic weapons scientist secretly provided nuclear

materials and nuclear bomb-making information to other Muslim

states, but after brief imprisonment for this crime he was recently

set free by his government.

The French government not only approved selling its Osirak reactor

and ample radioactive fuel to Saddam Hussein but also threatened to

use its veto as a permanent member of the United Nations Security

Council to prevent Hussein's overthrow.

It later came to light that several of French President Jacques

Chirac's closest political allies were being given millions of

dollars worth of oil certificates by Hussein under the United

Nations Oil-for-Food program that controlled Iraqi oil sales. Was

there also a secret deal with Hussein involving COGEMA, Areva, the

French Government and Niger ?

Can a French Government that was willing to put nuclear weapons

ingredients into the hands of Saddam Hussein be trusted to keep such

materials out of the hands of oil-rich Islamist fanatics? Is France

again willing to sell doomsday weapon capability if the price is

right?...(If the world were sane, of course, France would have

forfeited its nuclear weapons and materials after the Osirak reactor

it was building was destroyed. France has shown that it lacks both

the morality and maturity to be trusted with these dangerous tools

the U.S. and Britain gave it – along with a permanent seat on the

Security Council – following the French complicity with Hitler

during World War II.)... (During World War II the German-aligned

Vichy government in France used its national railroad to transport

76,000 French Jews to their doom in Nazi death camps. Virulent anti-

Semitism is one of the ideologies many French share with their

former Nazi overlords and Islamofascists. French treachery has not

been limited to its Arab citizens.)... Lowell Ponte is the former

Roving Science Editor for Reader's Digest and a former think tank

" The Wilson, Rockefeller, & McCarthy Ties

Filed under: General— Robert Farrow by Curt

Very interesting stuff going on in the Mary McCarthy files. It

appears many of us missed a few important connections:

One aspect of her background so far comparatively unexamined is her

West African uranium connection. She served in a key government

position concerned with West African nations producing yellowcake

uranium at the same time that Joseph Wilson was working in the

area. The two may be considered members of the " yellowcake

community " within the Clinton national security apparatus of the

1990s. There are more questions than answers for the moment, but

yellowcake uranium is not only of strategic importance for WMD

purposes, it is also a highly profitable commodity traded under UN

supervision and restrictions, a set of circumstances known to

produce extraordinary opportunities for both profit and corruption,

as in Oil-for-Food. These comparatively still waters may run deep.

Investigators equipped with both subpoena power and security

clearance may be called for.

Mary McCarthy held positions in both African and Latin American

analysis desks at Langley while Wilson was U.S. Ambassador to the

Gabonese Republic from 1992 to 1995. Gabon was a producer of

yellowcake uranium. Wilson `s powerful position in Gabon from 1992

to 1995 raises questions about his official trip to Niger to

discredit President Bush's claim that Iraq had sought quantities of

uranium from Africa .

During his time in Gabon , Wilson must have been deeply

knowledgeable about uranium production and trade there, and must

have been familiar with officials of the French energy giant COGEMA,

now consolidated into the French Areva Group, a firm closely

involved with the French government which appoints members of its

board. Joe Wilson has his own French connection.

So, who better to send to Africa to dig up dirt to refute

intelligence findings of both the US and Great Britain concerning

the Iraq-Africa yellowcake trade?

The article then goes into great detail about the loophole the UN

instituted to allow: certain nuclear materials to be maintained and

traded even by countries known to be covertly developing a nuclear

capability or who supported terrorist groups….

Speaking of dealing in commodities, this whole affair brings us back

to square one and Mary McCarthy. One of her previous employers was

Beri, SA. Possibly by coincidence Beri provides a Mineral Extraction

Risk Assessment service for up to 145 countries that are expected to

show rapid growth in oil, gas, and mineral extraction capacity. If

one had advance access to economic intelligence and had fostered

close business ties over the years with uranium producers, huge

financial gains would be possible…. Macranger, the former

intelligence official, believes he knows what is coming next:

I can't tire of telling you how important it is that Mary Loose Lips

has been brought down. More than just a random `discovery' - she is

the key to the lock. Guys at the agency and the DOJ knew exactly

where to target - and they hit it dead on. In the coming days you

will see why Senator Rockefeller HAD to make such an emergency visit

to Syria in 2002. For a little tip, read here.

The " here " he is referring to is a Italian article that points out

Rockefeller's business dealings with none other, Cogema…. Cogema

runs the Niger uranium trade.

Getting a little fishy in here as AJ Strata notices:

the Italian story mentions Senator Jay Rockefeller and his unique

efforts against the invasion of Iraq . Among them is mention of " the

relationship of the Senate American " . The story links the UN Oil

For Food program and the Uranium trade (which I showed was possible

in previous posts).

Then the story talks about a connection: " the French of the Cogema

are in transactions with the magnates of the oil, comprised the

group Rockefeller American. " Wow. COGEMA is the French company…

that runs the Niger mines and monitors the uranium. Now I

understand what Mac Ranger meant by this comment:

In the coming days you will see why Senator Rockefeller HAD to make

such an emergency visit to Syria in 2002.

I had not made the connection until now that Wilson and Rockefeller

both raced to the region in 2002! Maybe the heads up Rockefeller was

giving Bathaast Bashir (and therefore Baathist Hussein) was not just

about the pending war. The timing is right. Wilson went to Niger in

February 2002, Rockefeller went to Syria in January 2002. So far

Mac has been dead on in his predictions. This one is going to be a

doozy.

McCarthy now appears to be a little fish in a BIG pond whose scum

layer is getting quite thick.

We think that Hillary Rodham Clinton may well be playing a major

role in the campaign against Senator George Allen. Allen has been

seen as THE likely Republican Presidential nominee in 2008, in other

words, the person Hillary Rodham Clinton might well be running

against for President in 2008. We hope that you will join us in

revealing Hillary's Hidden Hands in the George Allen Lynching.

" Hillary headlines Webb event By Seth McLaughlin

THE WASHINGTON TIMES October 4, 2006

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton endorsed Democrat James H. Webb Jr. in

the U.S. Senate race in Virginia at a fundraiser yesterday… Mrs.

Clinton, who headlined the " Women for Webb " luncheon in Alexandria ,

said Congress needs someone with Mr. Webb's military expertise and

demonstrated leadership "

" My opponent doesn't stand with John Warner and me in keeping taxes

low, " Republican US Senator from Virginia George Allen said in his

opening statement in the recent October 2006 debate between Senator

Allen and James Webb, a.k.a. Jim Webb.

" He stands with Hillary Clinton, John Kerry and the big-government

Democrats who want to raise taxes. "

" Allen, Webb spar in final TV debate

By LARRY O'DELL, Associated Press Writers October 2006

RICHMOND, Va. (AP)Throughout the debate, Webb looked tense, his eyes

riveted on his off-camera questioners or on Allen. His answers were

detailed, sometimes to the point of wonkishness; his delivery

sometimes halting. Allen, a veteran of numerous TV debates in his

long political career, appeared relaxed, his eyes connecting

comfortably with the camera, even as he offered up refrains he has

used for years and made a practice of opening his response with

attacks on Webb.

At least three times, Allen took pains to link Webb, a former

Republican, with Democrats Hillary Clinton and John Kerry, the

Democrats' 2004 presidential nominee. "

In 2004 John Forbes Kerry launched what was seen by many as a pre-

emptive strike against the Bush-Cheney re-election campaign by

discussing the sexual orientation of Vice President Cheney's

daughter. Some years earlier, published reports in a Pittsburgh,

Pennsylvania newspaper had alleged that Theresa Heinz, who later

became Theresa Heinz Kerry, was a lesbian. In light of the

vulnerability to charges of racism in the story immediately above

one wonders whether history was in a sense repeating itself when the

baseless charges of racism against US Senator George Allen of

Virginia were aired by the Saddemocrat controlled media. Kerry's

2004 campaign was taken over by Clintonistas in the fall of 2004.

" Welch removed his glasses, stared dolefully at the table and shook

his head. What he said then became the event's dramatic climax, and

a moment more movie-like in its dramatic impact than even most

movies come close to.

" Until this moment, Senator, I think I never really gauged your

cruelty or your recklessness. " There was no noise in the huge, high-

ceilinged room save for the sparse clearing of throats. " Let us not

assassinate this lad further, Senator. You have done enough. Have

you no sense of decency sir, at long last? Have you no sense of

decency? "

" Mary Beth Cahill, John Kerry's campaign manager, called Mary

Cheney's sexuality " fair game " in a post-debate interview with Fox

News Wednesday night (October 13th, 2004). "

(October 5th, 2004) Cheney-Edwards Vice Presidential Debate

" The vice president's wife, Lynne Cheney, called Kerry " not a good

that Mrs. Cheney might feel " a certain degree of shame " because her

`Clintonistas' Rally Behind Kerry's Presidential Bid

AFP: 9/22/2004 WEST PALM BEACH, United States (AFP) - Democratic

Senator John

Kerry`s White House bid has become more combative, more open to

reporters and

delivered a more focused message recently which

observers have attributed to the influence of former Bill Clinton

administration staffers. Under advice from the `Clintonistas`,

according to US

media reports, the veteran Massachusetts senator`s campaign has

clicked into a

higher gear just 41 days before Amercians go to the polls on

November 2. The

Democratic presidential hopeful interrupted his campaigning across

Florida on

Tuesday to hold a press conference, his first in more than seven

weeks, at which

he lambasted President George W. Bush`s credibility over Iraq.

Kerry last spoke took questions from the press on August 9, despite

the growing number of reporters who are following the Democrat

around the country. Kerry criticized Bush who has also kept his

distance from

the press. ...Under the guidance of former Clinton era White House

spokesman Joe

Lockhart, and other former high-powered `Clintonistas` including

James Carville,

Paul Begala,... the Democratic candidate has become more combative

and less nuanced.

Kerry has notably increased his attacks on Bush, concentrating his

fire on Bush`s handling of Iraq in clear-cut language.

Citing the " chaos " and " colossal errors " in Bush`s decision to go to

war against the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein in March 2003,

Kerry laid into Bush in a speech on Iraq this week at New York

University.

According to Michael McCurry, another former Clinton spokesman who

has joined the Kerry campaign, the speech was " exactly what you`d

expect, many people have said this was a speech that you needed to

give. "

The Democratic candidate, who has pulled back of late in some polls,

has said he always performs better as he approaches the finishing

tape in political campaigns.

" Tonight I`m going to talk softly, but carry a big stick, the guys

have got me in a fighting mood, " Kerry told thousands of supporters

at an Orlando rally late Tuesday.

" There is a time for everything and it was time for him to take off

the gloves, " Kerry`s wife Teresa told a New York audience at a fund-

raising dinner for her husband.

Kerry has not hidden the fact that Bill Clinton`s seemingly

inexhaustible energy might be rubbing off: " He is probably the best

observer of American politics, the only Democrat who`s won twice in

50 years or more, he is worth listening to, " Kerry told CBS talk-

show host David Letterman earlier this week.

Explaining the recent ramping up of his campaign, Kerry said " a

campaign grows, a presidential campaign is an enormous undertaking,

suddenly you`re building a multimillion dollar corporation.

You grow and there are stages in it, we have fabulous people in

place, nobody was fired, we just hired more people and brought in

more talent, " he added. "

" The Clintonista " Coups. " At several critical junctures Kerry's

campaign (and

the candidate himself), struggled to find sure footing. Following

the missteps

of August, Clinton veteran James Carville confronted Kerry campaign

manager Mary

Beth Cahill, telling her she had to step aside and let newly arrived

Joe

Lockhart run the campaign. So worked up, Carville began to cry,

imploring

Cahill: " You've got to let him do it. " Carville continued, " Nobody

can gain

power without someone losing power. " Carville threatened to go

on " Meet the

Press " the next day " and tell the truth about how bad it is " if

Cahill didn't give effective control to Lockhart. "

Fortunately the Clintons can't fool all of the people all of the

time.

It was Déjà vu all over again in the fall of 2006 as once again

Saddam's Saddemocrats sought to drag the Cheney family into the mud,

and once again played the so-called " Lesbian Card " , against the

Cheney family.

" October 27, 2006 Lynne Cheney was in the " Situation Room " this

afternoon and was asked about Jim Webb's comments that her books

contain explicit sexual descriptions:

Cheney: " Jim Webb is full of baloney. I have never written anything

sexually explicit. His novels are full of sexual explicit references

to incest, sexually explicit references—well, you know, I just don't

want my grandchildren to turn on the television set. This morning,

Imus was reading from the novels, and it's triple-X rated. "

CNN's Blitzer: " Here's what the Democratic Party put out today, the

Democratic Congressional—Senatorial Campaign Committee: `Lynne

Cheney's book featured brothels and attempted rape. In 1981, Vice

President Dick Cheney's wife, Lynne, wrote a book called " Sisters " ,

which featured a lesbian love affair, brothels and attempted

rapes.' ... In 1988, Lynn Cheney wrote about a Republican vice

president who dies of a heart attack while having sex with his

mistress.' Is that true? "

Cheney: " Nothing explicit. "

Blitzer: " There's nothing in there about rape and brothels? "

Cheney: " Well, Wolf, could we talk about a children's book for a

minute? "

Blitzer: " This is an opportunity for you to explain on these

sensitive issues. "

Cheney: " I have nothing to explain. Jim Webb has a lot to explain. "

More Cheney: " Jim Webb is full of baloney " (CNN, 10/27).

It seems that Saddam's Saddemocrats just cannot get away from their

fascination with the lesbian theme. Whether this is a case of

Saddam's Saddemocrats striking first before the Republicans can

bring up the widespread belief that Hillary Rodham Clinton, who, for

years, jokingly, or not, has been referred to as a " Tri-Sexual " , the

pun being that Hillary would Try Anything Sexual with anyone, except

perhaps for Bill Clinton remains to be seen.

And what of Webb himself? It strikes me that any man who is

fascinated with scenes of perversion has something very wrong with

him. It reminds me of some of the following: " [You are] of eyes too

pure to behold evil, and You cannot gaze upon iniquity. " Source:

Judaica Press Complete Tanach. Unfortunately Webb seems to be

obsessed with scenes of perversion which he says he has actually

gone to see in of all places Thailand.

Whether Webb was some earlier version of John Mark Karr, or not,

remains to be seen. Why would Webb want to go to Thailand to gaze

intently upon iniquity? Is Webb obsessed with such things? Then

there is the whole issue of torturing women. Webb seems to be

obsessed with torturing women. See also, the original at Drudge. We

have cleaned up some of Webb's foul language in this excerpt of that

post so you do not have to read the filth that Webb actually wrote.

" ALLEN--- EXPOSES UNDERAGE SEX SCENES IN OPPONENT'S NOVELS

Thu Oct 26 2006 20:05:37 ET

Sen. George Allen, R-VA, unleashed a press release late Thursday

that exposed his rival's fiction writing, which includes graphic

underage sex scenes. The press release, as provided by the Allen

Campaign:

WEBB'S WEIRD WORLD

The Author's Disturbing Writings Show a Continued Pattern of

Demeaning Women

• Some of Webb's writings are very disturbing for a candidate

hoping

to represent the families of Virginians in the U.S. Senate.

• Many excellent books about the United States military and

wartime

service accomplish their purposes, and even win awards, without

systematically demeaning women, and without dehumanizing women, men

and even children.

• Webb's novels disturbingly and consistently – indeed, almost

uniformly – portray women as servile, subordinate, inept,

incompetent, promiscuous, perverted, or some combination of these.

In novel after novel, Webb assigns his female characters base,

negative characteristics. In thousands of pages of fiction penned by

Webb, there are few if any strong, admirable women or positive

female role models.

Why does Jim Webb refuse to portray women in a respectful, positive

light, whether in his non-fiction concerning their role in the

military, or in his provocative novels? How can women trust him to

represent their views in the Senate when chauvinistic attitudes and

sexually exploitive references run throughout his fiction and non-

fiction writings?

• Most Virginians and Americans would find passages such as

those

below shocking, especially coming from the pen of someone who seeks

the privilege of serving in the United States Senate, one of the

highest offices in the land:

The following is excerpted from: " The Stormy Departure of a Navy

Secretary who

veered off course (Washington Post, March 7, 1988) " Webb also

attempted to dispel

concerns over a magazine article he'd written years earlier

entitled " Women

Can't Fight " by opening more non-combat jobs to women….. Webb "

(told) " a group

of newspaper editors and reporters that he believed the United

States should

respond to Iranian hostilities with strikes that would prevent

further

aggression rather than hitting small military targets. The United

States

recently had destroyed Iranian oil platforms used for communications

and launching small boats. "

the following is excerpted from: " A Tangled Webb By Colonel Paul E.

Roush, U.S.

Marine Corps (Retired)When James Webb wrote " Women Can't Fight " for

Washingtonian magazine in 1979, he initiated an assault that

continues to the

present day. The assault primarily is on women, but it extends much

further. It

is an assault on the Naval Academy and on the naval service. . . .

It is an assault on civilian control of the military and ultimately

on the

constitutional constraints that define the relation between citizen

and soldier.

His 1981 book, A Sense of Honor, continued to press certain elements

of the

assault. In particular, it decried congressional legislation

regarding hazing.

In an article entitled " The War on the Military Culture " in The

Weekly Standard

in January 1997, he returned again to some of the basic themes that

have marked his writings over the years.

The content of James Webb's writing matters for several reasons.

First, he is a

person of influence—a highly decorated small-unit combat leader, an

accomplished

writer, a former Secretary of the Navy. Second, his writings are an

appeal to

the politics of resentment, one result of which is to foster

cynicism toward the

institution and the profession. Third, many midshipmen continue to

refer to his

ideas and to be shaped by them in their formative years of

preparation for

future leadership roles in the Navy and Marine Corps.

Accordingly, it is worth giving careful attention to what I see as

his central

themes.Theme #1: Stress is fungible and is the means by which

warriors are made

at the Naval Academy.Webb seems to believe that response to stress

generalizes

almost without limit. In other words, if one learns to deal with one

kind of

stress, one is assured of being able to deal with all other kinds of

stress.

He uses this theory to defend the use of physical abuse at the Naval

Academy.The

argument goes something like this: Being abused physically by those

in power is

stressful. Combat also is stressful. Learning to endure the stress

of physical

abuse therefore will allow one to face the stress of combat without

being debilitated by it.

This belief undergirds the notion that the way for a midshipman to

become a

warrior is to submit to a regimen of pervasive, arbitrary physical

and

psychological abuse at the hands of other barely post-pubescent

midshipmen who

have never heard a shot fired in anger. These slightly older

midshipmen, despite

their utter lack of combat experience, will know how to create

warriors. They

will harass, haze, and brutalize. Then they will separate the

victims into two

piles: the worthy and the worthless. Those who submit to and thrive

on brutality

will be the worthy; those who do not tolerate it or do not thrive on

it will be counted among the worthless.

This theme is central to " Women Can't Fight. " Webb apparently

believes he owes

his prowess on the battlefield to the fact that, as a midshipman at

the Naval

Academy, he was severely beaten with a cricket bat by a group of

upperclassmen

and otherwise exposed to physical assaults. It is a major point in A

Sense of

Honor that a plebe is indoctrinated by being severely stressed by an

upperclassman—never mind that in the process the upperclassman

violates the hazing laws legislated by Congress.

From this perspective, A Sense of Honor is an object lesson in and a

glorification of the violation of congressional legislation. Because

Congress is

granted the right to make laws governing the armed forces by the

Constitution,

the book is also a model of how one violates one's commissioning

oath to support

and defend the Constitution without any mental reservation or

purpose of evasion.

Stress always has played a part in plebe training, but not always

did it extend

to the type of physical abuse Jim Webb recounts. Vice Admirals

William Lawrence

and James Stockdale (here, addressing the Brigade of Midshipmen),

both

distinguished leaders and warriors, noted that their Naval Academy

experience did not include such abuse.

Theme #2: Women at the Naval Academy preclude the development of

warriors.In

" Women Can't Fight, " Webb expresses the view that the presence of

women poisons

the preparation of men for combat command and that the process of

training for

combat leadership at the Naval Academy has been sterilized as a

result.

Consider the implications of this particular theme: If the presence

of women in

the college experience prevents the brutality that is necessary to

the

inculcation of warriorhood, the Marine Corps is in deep trouble.

After all,

Naval Academy graduates are a minority within the Marine Corps

officer cadre;

most of that cadre went to college with women and missed out on

being physically abused by upperclassmen.

Does that mean that the majority of the officers in the Marine Corps

are

incompetent warriors? The answer, of course, is no; non-academy

Marine Corps

officers learn to be warriors at Quantico, which is the same place

Naval Academy

graduates learn to be the kind of warriors the Marine Corps wants.

Theme #3: Military women are the beneficiaries of a pervasive, pro-

women double

standard. In " Women Can't Fight, " Webb grumbles that women are

advantaged at

every turn. He is incensed by the fact that the media spend more time

interviewing women than men, thereby conferring on women undeserved

attention

and falsely inferred merit. From the beginning, there has been

complaining about

the fact that there are differences in the physical readiness tests.

The women, it turned out, could receive a given grade with lower

scores than

were required from the men for the same grade. Of course, the men

seldom mention

the fact that they are allowed to weigh about 30 pounds more than a

woman of

their same height before being placed on a weight-control program.

When that difference is pointed out, they tend to have a sudden

burst of insight

in which they see that physiological and anatomical differences

really do need

to be taken into account. The unwarranted litany of half-truths with

regard to

alleged double standards creates—and, in my judgment, is calculated

to

create—resentment among the men. There is a particular aspect of the

politics of

resentment on which Webb's writings seem fixated, namely, resentment

against

those who ascribe leadership abilities to women.

He asserts in " Women Can't Fight " that women were being rated higher

in

leadership by officers than they had been by their male peers.

Things had gone

so far by the time Webb wrote his article that peer ratings had been

discontinued. Webb was mortified; this meant that there was no way

for a woman's

male peers to prevent her from being assigned to leadership

positions, given

what he saw as the craven propensity of the company officers to

impute unmerited

favor to female midshipmen.Webb does not explain why those male

company

officers, who had graduated from an all-male Naval Academy in which

physical

abuse was the order of the day, would be so lacking in moral

courage, so unable

to deal with the stress engendered by pressure from above that they

would lie on

command about the abilities of the women in their companies.

The implication is that women were unworthy and that all the men

knew this, but

the officers were under pressure to artificially and unfairly build

them up.

Only their male peers would tell the truth about women on their peer

evaluations. The reality was somewhat different. The male peers were

secreting

bigotry from every pore. There was not the slightest possibility

that the women

would be rated fairly by the men, who deplored their very presence

at the institution.

Further, there is no possibility that Webb did not know this;

in " Women Can't

Fight, " he frequently quoted male midshipmen's disparaging comments

about

women. Nothing so disadvantages a person as to be psychologically

rejected by his

or her peers; to be told both blatantly and more subtly that you are

not wanted;

to have your competence questioned on the basis of invidious

comparison.

However difficult plebe year may have been for men when Webb was a

midshipman or

at the time " Women Can't Fight " was published, it was made even more

difficult

by an order of magnitude for women by the threat and practice of

bigotry.

When an upperclass leader uses his position of power to refer

publicly to a

female midshipman in degrading and humiliating gender-related terms,

when she

must listen to and even participate in demeaning marching chants in

which she is

the object of ridicule, the stress engendered far exceeds that of a

beating with a cricket bat.

The consequences of that kind of psychological sadism include

evisceration of

her self-esteem and instruction for her peers that she is an

inferior being;

that she does not belong; that she is a prime candidate for

the " worthless "

pile. Nothing could more rapidly destroy unit cohesion. " Women Can't

Fight " has

been the single greatest purveyor of degradation and humiliation on

the basis of

gender that academy women have had to endure. Men, on the other

hand, were not

mocked or ridiculed because of their gender.

They were not required by their peers to go outside their own

identity to avoid

overt harassment. They did not face the threat of psychological

isolation. In

other words, men were unstressed relative to women.According to Mr.

Webb's

dictum, then, every woman graduate thereby is more prepared to be a

warrior than

all of her male counterparts. The tragedy of all this is that the

interference

with the integration process, which should not have happened at all,

would have

been over in a relatively short period were it not for the brooding

presence of " Women Can't Fight. "

Year after year, this article has taught and continues to teach a

certain number

of men about the insufferable affront of the presence of women at

the Naval

Academy.Theme #4: Women in the military remain a gigantic social

experiment.As

when it was used to oppose the racial integration of the military in

the 1950s

and 1960s, this argument is an attempt to deceive, to make

uninformed persons

believe that the only basis on which a particular minority could be

deserving of

entry into the military is that the military leadership had

capitulated to groups with an alien agenda.

Those outside groups, it is contended, are intent on furthering

their own social

and political ends even if the consequence is to diminish the

capability of the

armed forces to fight and survive.Applying the appellation of social

experiment

to women in the military, as he does repeatedly in the January 1997

article in

The Weekly Standard, Webb continues to disseminate this propaganda.

But it is

simply not true that women in the military are a social experiment;

we have

decades of experience by which to assess the performance of women.

The issue for women in the Navy for more than 40 years was service

on combatant

ships and aircraft—the exclusion laws applied there and nowhere else—

and we have

plenty of data showing that women can fly planes and serve on ships

in a superb

fashion. Neither of these types of service is a social

experiment.Service in the

infantry was never the issue for women at the Naval Academy.

Nevertheless, a

significant portion of Webb's objection to women in any combat role

was

addressed by demonstrating how difficult it would be for women to

serve in the infantry.

Webb had to have been aware that the legislative battle was with

regard to

service on ships and aircraft, but the case against women is, of

course, much

harder to make in those two realms—hence the shift to talking so

extensively

about women in the infantry. If this was not an intent to deceive,

it was a

splendid imitation.Theme #5: An officer's priority of loyalties may

be disregarded in the pursuit of ideology.

In " The War on the Military Culture " Webb points out that military

officers are

taught that " policies that were strongly opposed while under

consideration will

be just as strongly implemented once [they are] decided upon. " That,

of course,

is a fundamental undergirding of the professional military ethic.

Yet, in " Women

Can't Fight, " Webb quotes midshipmen who speak words that defame and

slander academy women.

It seems clear that Webb approves of—and sometimes adds to—this

vilification. In

no instance does he reprimand the men for their statements, which

are in

opposition to the legislation passed by Congress that admitted women

to the academy.

Instead, he urges that male midshipmen who oppose women at the

academy should be

allowed to say so and to say so without fear of retribution. He calls

prohibitions on such activity censorship. If ever there was an action

intended to

break down or prevent the formation of unit cohesion, it is the

action Webb

advocates. Urging that midshipmen be permitted publicly to speak out

in

opposition to the law of the land while they remain on active duty is

inexcusable. Leaders are free to disagree up until the decision is

made; at that

point they either get on board or find another line of work.

Midshipmen or officers who insist on proclaiming in public that

women should not

be at the academy should be ushered out of the military into

civilian society,

where they may contemplate their bigotry in a setting in which they

probably

will do less harm.Midshipmen take an oath to support and defend the

Constitution. That document contains a provision that grants to

Congress the

authority to make regulations governing the armed forces.

The legislation that opened the service academies to women is a

legitimate

exercise of that authority. It also is the supreme law of the land

as defined by

the Constitution. For anyone who has taken the oath of office,

obedience is not

optional. Midshipmen, from the moment that law was passed in 1975,

were under

obligation to obey not only the letter but also the spirit of the

law. Their

duty was to do all in their power to facilitate its implementation.

Webb's

discussions in " Women Can't Fight " had to have a corrupting

influence on male

midshipmen, reinforcing the negative views they held, letting them

know that an

authority figure agreed with their perspective.

Theme #6: Webb's experience as a midshipman in the 1960s reflects

the experience

of all midshipmen before then, as well.Webb describes the Naval

Academy as

having had a consistent approach until the women arrived. I have no

doubt that

he describes the Naval Academy culture in 1964-1968 quite accurately—

other of

his classmates have confirmed much of what he writes—but on the

matter of predecessor classes, he fails badly.

I graduated 11 years before Webb, in 1957. I never experienced a

single moment

of physical abuse as a plebe, nor am I aware of any physical abuse

being

suffered by my roommates or company mates. During plebe summer, the

time of most

significant stress today, my classmates and I did not even have

upperclass

present. A solitary, recently commissioned ensign shepherded each

company

through the two-month process. It was a time in which we learned

much, but being

away from home was about the most stressful thing we experienced.

When the

brigade returned in the fall there was plenty of stress, but it did

not extend

to physical abuse. Nor were we as exhausted as are today's

midshipmen; we slept

eight hours per night, and our academic load was significantly

lighter.

I also talked with several of our more illustrious predecessors to

find out

about their four years at Annapolis. In particular, I was interested

to talk

with retired Vice Admirals James Stockdale and William Lawrence.

These men were

prisoners of war for more than five years during the Vietnam War.

For his

service in the prison camps Admiral Stockdale was awarded the Medal

of Honor.

Admiral Lawrence served as Superintendent of the Naval Academy

during the time "

Women Can't Fight " was published. These leaders and warriors

confirmed that

their academy experience was like the one I knew and not like what

Webb

apparently has come to believe always existed.

Theme #7: Leaders are not necessarily accountable for the

performance of their

followers. When Webb writes about the 1991 Tailhook convention he

advocates an

approach that absolves leadership for its obvious abdication of

responsibility

and accountability. He frequently interprets the events as having

been caused by

a small number of drunken aviators and rejects the notion that Navy

culture was

implicated in any way. In an article in The Washington Post

entitled " The Navy

Adrift, " an adaptation of his speech at the Naval Institute's 1996

Annapolis

Seminar, he described Tailhook as an event that should have been in

the news for three to five days.

His comments then, as always, avoided the larger context of

Tailhook.Tailhook is

not about some number of drunken aviators; it is only peripherally

about sexual

assaults and other forms of sexual misconduct. Rather, it is about

staggering

professional deficiencies—in truth telling; in respect for persons;

in military

discipline; in subordination of the military to civilian control; in

understanding that unit cohesion and hence combat effectiveness is

incompatible

with bigotry. Webb's attempts to trivialize Tailhook are without

redeeming

social or military value. When Webb advocates punishing the " few

drunken

aviators " but never advocates holding the leadership accountable,

one wonders if

he has the slightest clue about the obligations of command.

Writing in the Wall Street Journal in June 1996, Republican Senators

Kay Bailey

Hutchinson and Daniel Coates pointed out a portion of those

responsibilities.

Section 5947 of Title 10 U.S. Code establishes the positive

obligation of

commanding officers to demonstrate " a good example of virtue. . . ;

to be

vigilant in inspecting the conduct of all persons who are placed

under their

command; to guard against and suppress all dissolute and immoral

practices. " The

Senators pointed out that the " statute does not reflect contemporary

situational

ethics, political correctness, or feminist pressure.

It was first set forth in the Regulations for the Navy drafted by

John Adams and

approved by the Continental Congress in 1775, enacted by the U.S.

Congress in

1779, and codified at the express request of the Navy in 1956. " It

is an

expression of the bedrock culture toward which Navy leadership—and

anyone who

writes about Navy leadership—should aspire.Mr. Webb's views are not

likely to

change. Based on the politics of resentment, they are the cause of

significant

harm to the naval service and to the military in general. They are

destructive

of unit cohesion. Somewhere along the line it will be important to

get into the

hands of students, perhaps in a core course, written material that

discusses the

implications for institutional culture that are embedded in Webb's

writing. One thing is certain. Silence will not do.

The issue is too important. There must be no more free rides for

those who

would undermine what this great institution is about.Colonel Roush

is a

professor in the U.S. Naval Academy's Leadership Ethics & Law

Department. His

26-year career in the Marine Corps included tours in Vietnam and as

an attache

in Moscow. He served on the faculties of the Industrial College of

the Armed

Forces and the National War College. He holds a Ph.D from American

University. " So you be the judge, is Webb some kind of weird pervert

obsessed with torturing women? Has he ever gone beyond writing about

it to actually doing it? We of course do not know. We certainly hope

that Webb has never tortured or murdered anyone, not an Asian

prostitute on his John Mark Karr like travels through Asia, and

certainly not any of his many wives, all of which we believe are

still living, and certainly hope are well, or any child prostitutes

in places like Thailand that Webb evidently, like John Mark Karr,

could not stay away from.

Former Navy Secretary Virginia US Senate Candidate James Webb has

been a long

time opponent of the liberation of Iraq. When he was Secretary of

the Navy he

urged that the US attack Saddam's enemy Iran. While we support the

liberation of

both Iraq and Iran, it is clear that the US tilt towards Iraq and

against Iran

in the Iran-Iraq war helped to set Iran on its current anti-American

path.

That tilt was a major mistake. Webb's role in that tilt as Secretary

of the Navy

during part of the Iran-Iraq war is examined briefly here. Hopefully

those who

are naive enough to think of former Navy Secretary Webb as a

peacemaker will

have their eyes opened by this brief look at some of his history.

Excerpted from Pages 39-40 of SPIDER'S WEB: THE SECRET HISTORY OF

HOW THE WHITE HOUSE ILLEGALLY ARMED IRAQ by Alan Friedman ASIN:

0553096508

" In January 1987, as the " (Iran-Iraq) " war entered its seventh year

and the

combined death toll neared one million people, Iran began yet

another major

offensive. This time it pushed deep into Iraqi territory. Saddam

Hussein needed

help-but he also required reassurance from Washington about its

intentions,

since revelations in the Iran-Contra scandal were now detailing the

U.S. covert

military aid that had been going to his enemy, Iran. From Baghdad's

point of

view, Washington was either ambivalent or duplicitous.

Thanks to the rival pro-Iraq and pro-Iran factions inside the

government, the

United States had indeed sent out very confusing signals.

Nonetheless, the

secret shipments to Iran paled when compared with the support given

Saddam, and

William Casey led the drive to placate Iraq. He had already met with

Tariq Aziz

at the United Nations to make sure Iraq was happy with the flow of

intelligence

it was receiving, and he encouraged Aziz to go ahead with more

attacks on Iranian economic targets.

Then netural ships in the Persian Gulf began coming under attack

from both Iran

and Iraq. Those of oil-rich Kuwait were of particular concern to the

administration. Kuwaiti leaders wanted their oil tankers protected

by either

Moscow of Washington, and in March 1987 top U.S. officials including

Caspar

Weinberger, George Schultz aand Admiral William Crowe, the chairman

of the Joint

Chiefs of Staff, decided to defend Kuwaiti vessels that were

navigating the Gulf.

Two months later, on May 17th, pro-Iraqi officials such as

Weinberger suffered

an instant case of political whiplash when a U.S. frigate, the

Stark, was

attacked by an Iraqi warplane and thirty-seven Americans on board

were

killed….The Stark incident underscored the increasingly risky state

of affairs

in the Gulf, and it was followed by a formal announcement from

President Reagan

that the United States would reflag Kuwaiti oil tankers so that the

U.S. Navy could escort them. "

You can see photos of the USS Stark in the

VICTIMS OF ARAB ATTACKS photo album at

KnowTheEnemy/

" May 17 1987, had started out as a routine day in the Persian gulf,

we were to

soon be on patrol escorting the newly flagged Kuwaiti Oil tankers.

Little Did I

know that day would change my life forever .we were always thinking

of The world

and our loved ones back at home, to get this over with do our duty

to our

country .I had just helped Daniel Homicki, move into my old bunk,

and I went on

my last watch ,my commitment to the Navy was up.

What was supposed to be a good last memory for me went horribly

wrong. The

excitement of coming home was over shadowed by an Iraqi attack that

killed 37 of

my shipmates, and wounded many more, I narrowly escaped death myself

by being on a SH2 Sea sprite helicopter. "

Hi, I just wanted to say it is a sad thing that you don't hear much

of this

attack. I have often brought it up to people and no one remembers.

My brother

was on the USS Stark and he was one of the survivors. All men and

women who

" On October 12th, 2000 terrorists in a boat laden with explosives

carried out a suicide bombing of the U.S.S. Cole in the harbor at

Aden, Yemen.

In what President Clinton described as a " despicable and cowardly

act, " 17 U.S.

sailors were killed, and over 30 others were wounded. "

" Iraq has the motivation and the means to actively support the

Islamist networks of the region*** In the past, there have been

intelligence reports of possible cooperation between Iraq and Osama

bin Laden. Iraq has already tried to assassinate President Bush

Senior in 1993, when he visited Kuwait as a private citizen. In the

attack on the USS Cole in Aden (in) October (of 2000), there could

have been an

Iraqi connection. Iraq has excellent relations with the anti-Western

Yemeni

Islamists of the Army of Aden-Abyan, whose militants have been

arrested by the

Yemenite authorities in connection with the attack. Such an attack

required long

preparations, technical and military skills and good operational

intelligence.

In addition, the explosive used in the attack was sophisticated,

a " shaped

charge " like a torpedo or a missile, a device not in use by terrorist

organizations, and which may have come from a military stockpile. "

The USS Cole was scheduled for duty off Iraq when it was attacked.

Well it was nice that Webb eulogized the crew of the USS Stark, but

as Secretary of the Navy he would be expected to do no less. What

was troublesome was that instead of advocating regime change in

Saddam Hussein's Iraq, which had hit the USS Stark, Webb instead

advocated attacking Iran, which had also been attacked by Saddam

Hussein's Iraq.

The Iran-Iraq war started when Saddam Hussein sought to seize the

oil rich Abadan section of Iran, proclaiming that " Abadan is Arab! "

While we support regime change in BOTH Saddam Hussein's Iraq and in

the Iran of the lunatics who run that country, Webb's pro-Saddam

tilt in the Iran-Iraq war had to have helped to keep Iran on its

anti-American trajectory. That trajectory may well result in Iranian

nuclear weapons being used against America by Iran in the not too

distant future. We have a million dollar question about Larry

Sabato. From " AJR,

American Journalism Review April/May 2005 issue The Quote

Machines By Mark Francis Cohen

Mark Francis Cohen, whose work has appeared in the Washington Post

and the New York Times, is a contributing editor at Washingtonian

magazine.

Larry J. Sabato, who bills himself on the paid speaking circuit

as " probably the most quoted college professor in the land, "

recently donated $1 million to the University of Virginia .

That sum of money—estimated to be 12 to 13 times the scholar's

annual salary—makes Sabato, 52, the most generous faculty member the

university has ever employed. Actually, it's one of the biggest

gifts an active professor has handed to a school anywhere.

So where did Sabato get all this cash? " Thank goodness for compound

interest, " the mustachioed pundit told the Washington Post the day

his gift was announced. " It's amazing what you can live on eating

Kraft Macaroni & Cheese for dinner. "

" Still, a prudent lifestyle and savvy investment decisions hardly

explain Sabato's beneficence. The scholar has amassed mounds of

extra cash writing 23 books and moonlighting as a public speaker.

He's a successful pundit whose words and face blanket the newspapers

and airwaves, appearances that boost his profile and his cachet on

the speaking circuit….it has become routine for individual editors,

say on a national desk, to forbid reporters from using certain

pundits as sources. Many editors interviewed for this article would

only admit such prohibitions anonymously. " I have told my reporters

not to use Larry Sabato anymore, " says the editor of a publication

that covers Congress. "

You decide: Where did Sabato get the million dollars? Why would " the

editor of a publication that covers Congress " have told

his " reporters not to use Larry Sabato anymore. " ? " Larry Sabato..

a classmate of Allen's in the early 1970s, said in a

televised interview Monday that Allen used the " n-word. "

Earlier, Dr. Ken Shelton — a radiologist who played football with

Allen at the University of Virginia in the early 1970s — said Allen

not only used the slur frequently but also once stuffed a severed

deer head into a black family's mailbox…. Christopher LaCivita, an

Allen strategist… said Allen and Sabato were not friends nor did

they associate with each other in college. " Sabato, director of the

University of Virginia Center for Politics, would not say how he

knew Allen used the slur. He told Chris Matthews on MSNBC that he

did not know whether it was true that Allen used the word frequently.

" I'm simply going to stay with what I know is the case, and the fact

is he did use the n-word, whether he's denying it or not, " Sabato

said.

However, Tuesday, Sabato acknowledged he has never directly heard

Allen use the slur.

UVA's Larry Sabato had strong words about Sen. George Allen (R-VA)

on " Hardball " last night:

MSNBC's Matthews: " What about these charges that he actually used

the bad language that some of us are familiar with in this country—

in fact, most Americans are—the bad language about people from

another, other background—did he do it? "

Sabato: " I can't say how frequently he did it, but I don't believe

him when he denies never having done it. "

More Sabato: " I'm simply going to say that I'm going to stay with

what I know is the case. And the fact is that he did use the `N'

word, whether he's denying it now or not. He did use it. It was

the `70s, you're right, it was a harsh term, it was an obscenity at

this as far as I'm concerned. "

Matthews: " How do you know about the `N' word? How do you know,

Larry, about the `N' word? "

Sabato: " Because there is other evidence that I'm not going to go

into on your show, Chris, sorry. "

Asked if he heard Allen use the word: " I'm not going to go into any

more details " ( " Hardball, " MSNBC, 9/25).

As far back as May of 2006 Larry Sabato was so concerned about who

would challenge Republican US Senator George Allen in the Virginia

Senate Race in 2006 that he was calling one of the Democratic

candidates for the nomination " The worst candidate I have ever

seen. " That candidate, Harris Miller, did not get nominated.

The candidate who was nominated was former Navy Secretary James

Webb, a.k.a. Jim Webb.

Sabato in May of 2006 said of George Allen in 2008, " Sabato ranks

him as one of three GOP hopefuls who have an actual shot at winning

the nomination. "

Larry and Me

I had the good fortune to be able to speak with UVA Prof. Larry

Sabato yesterday after an event in D.C. I got the chance to ask him

about some of the hot topics in the Virginia blogosphere and he had

some interesting things to say.

" The worst candidate I have ever seen. " " A joke. " " Won't even look

you in the eye when he is talking to you. "

Who might you ask is he describing?

None other than 2006 Democrat senate hopeful Harris Miller.

However, Sabato wouldn't go so far as to say that Miller wouldn't be

the nominee. While the good Professor didn't shy away from making

predictions in any other race he was asked about, he didn't even

make a guess on the Democrat senate primary next month. Why? Well,

he seems convinced that there is a large Democrat contingent who

will never vote for Jim Webb on the sole basis that he was a Reagan

appointee.

What he would say is that neither Miller nor Webb would defeat

George Allen in November. He said that Webb would make it more

interesting than Miller, but they would both ultimately lose.

Aside from Democrats not voting for Webb on the basis of his ties to

the Reagan Administration, Sabato claimed that there are organized

efforts by Republicans to vote in the Democrat primary for Miller on

the basis that he is such a horrible candidate and would lose worse

than Webb to Allen in November. (If there are indeed such efforts, I

have yet to hear of them.)

On George Allen in 2008, Sabato ranks him as one of three GOP

hopefuls who have an actual shot at winning the nomination, the

other two being John McCain and Mitt Romney. Sabato pointed out the

weaknesses of all three candidates—McCain being a maverick in a

party that hasn't nominated a maverick since Wendell Wilke; Romney

being Governor of Massachusetts which automatically makes him

suspect to conservatives; and Allen being more Bush than Bush in a

time when W's approval ratings are in the basement.

Finally, closer to home, I posed the question to Prof. Sabato about

whether PWC Chairman Sean Connaughton has a future at the statewide

level in Virginia . Sabato thought that without a doubt he does, but

said Connaughton might have to wait a cycle or two in order to give

himself a chance to remake his image after he was, as Sabato put

it, " unfairly characterized as a Tom Davis-moderate " during the 2005

Lt. Gov. primary.

So, there you have it—straight from Sabato's mouth to my ears and

typed here by my fingers.

overseers at least momentarily complicates her move-to-the-middle

blueprint.

" The use of the word `plantation' is terribly unwise, " said Larry

Sabato, director of the University of Virginia `s Center for

Politics. " It will just reinforce the view most Americans have of

Hillary Clinton as being very liberal. "

It could have been worse, Sabato added: " At least she didn't mention

Hitler. "

Pundits Bruce Cain, Larry Sabato Donated to Dems

Another election day has passed and two of the most frequently

quoted pundits, Bruce Cain of the University of California at

Berkeley and Larry Sabato of the University of Virginia , are all

over the news, giving their supposedly unbiased opinions.

A quick search of Federal Election Commission records at

NewsMeat.com reveals that Cain gave Sen. John Kerry $300 last year

and Sabato donated $500 in 1999 to Utah Democrat James Matheson's

winning run for a seat in the House.

Yet, good luck locating a single news story that quotes either man

and references the political donations they've made.

Sabato's official site, the Crystal Ball, evaluates Rep. Matheson's

race in 2006, and he doesn't mention his contribution to Matheson. I

guess Sabato doesn't believe in full disclosure and transparency.

Next we come to the issues of racism and anti-Semitism. Not only has

the Webb campaign paid for and created an anti-Semitic flyer against

Webb's Jewish opponent in the Democrat US Senate Primary, Anti-

Semites have used words like Senator Macacawitz to describe Senator

Allen in a clear attempt to appeal to anti-Semitism.

The following was from being an " isolated incident "

" Campaign staffer in House race resigns after Allen e-mail

DANVILLE, Va. A campaign staffer for Democratic Congressional

candidate Al Weed resigned today after sending an e-mail to

supporters that used vulgar language and poked fun at Senator George

Allen.

Weed's campaign says Meryl Ibis resigned after sending the e-mail in

preparation for Allen's scheduled stop in Danville today.

In the message, Ibis referred to Allen as " George `Macacawitz'

Allen, " The e-mail also contained an expletive. " Democratic Organizer

Quits After Calling Allen `Macacawitz'

Thursday, October 5, 2006; B02

A field organizer for Democratic congressional candidate Al Weed

resigned yesterday after it was discovered that she referred to Sen.

George Allen (R-Va.) as " Macacawitz. "

In an e-mail sent last night, Meryl Ibis asked Democratic supporters

to protest " George `Macacawitz' Allen " during a Republican rally in

Danville.

Dick Wadhams, Allen's campaign manager, said Ibis's e-mail " fits a

pattern of anti-Semitic behavior " by Democrats. Wadhams said Allen's

opponent, Democrat James Webb, should be held accountable for Ibis's

e-mail because she also was one of his volunteer organizers. "

Or this from another source: " Richard Clarke " (said) …Allen's known

as Senator Macacawitz. Not surprising, from what I've heard about

Clarke. "

Clarke of course is another of Saddam's Saddemocrats, like Webb,

Clarke opposed the liberation of Iraq. For those concerned with

things such as the genocide in Rwanda the role of Richard Clarke in

blocking Madeline Albright from trying to stop that genocide should

be instructive: Excerpted from the PBS Frontline Interview with

former U.S. Secretary of State Madeline Albright:

Can you tell the story that you talk about in your book of the

instructions that came to you at the U.N. about the U.S. position on

calling for a full withdrawal of U.N. forces The secretary-general

basically came to the Security Council with three options: either to

reinforce this UNAMIR group, which really was inadequate; to

withdraw it completely; or to have a kind of medium option of some

reinforcement of it. My instructions were to support full

withdrawal. I listened to the discussion very carefully in the

Security Council. I could see that our position was wrong, and

especially in

listening to the African delegate, Ambassador Gambari from Nigeria,

[who] was

very moving on this. [so] I had these instructions which made no

sense at all. These were in informal meetings of the Security

Council, where the real discussion goes on. I asked my deputy to

take my seat while I left, and went out into the hall into these

phone booths and called Washington. I decided not to call the State

Department from whence my instructions really came, but the

National Security Council, because they were dealing with it on a

very imminent basis. I felt that I would get a better hearing if I

called the National

Security Council, which I did, and they said, Well, no, were

worrying about

this, and these are your instructions. I actually screamed into the

phone. I

said, Theyre unacceptable. I want them changed. So they told me to

chill

out and calm down. But ultimately, they did send me instructions that

allowed us to do a reinforcement of UNAMIR; not a massive changing of

the mandate and enlarging it or withdrawing it, but the middle option

allowed me to support that. I have been told you talked to Richard

Clarke, that the conversation was with him. That is correct. Dick

Clarke and others were in charge of developing a new peacekeeping

policy that had begun to be discussed

under the Bush administration, that ended up being this Presidential

Decision Directive 25. And that listed how, and under what

circumstances

peacekeeping operations would be supported by the United States.

I talked to Dick Clarke. I did not talk to Tony Lake.

I was not the secretary of state; I was the U.N. ambassador, and I

was

trying very hard to make sure that we could continue to support

peacekeeping

operations. Therefore, the mandates were very important. "

Speaking about another Clark, Saddam Hussein's lawyer: Ramsey Clark,

the following passage should also be instructive:

" In an echo of the 1939 Hitler-Stalin Pact, former communists and

anarchists in Russia now work with figures like

Zhirinovsky, who have themselves sought alliances with German

neo-Nazis. Clark, meanwhile, represented a Rwandan Hutu militiaman

fighting his extradition from the US back to Rwanda to face genocide

charges. The WWP line simultaneously (and predictably) tilted to the

genocidal Hutu militias as the UN wrote up war crime charges against

their leaders for ordering the slaughter of half a million Tutsi

civilians in 1994. "

" AS ELECTED PRESIDENT PRO TEMPORE OF THE UNITED STATES SENATE, ROBERT

BYRD IS THIRD IN LINE TO SUCCEED THE PRESIDENT, FEW PEOPLE REALIZE

HOW

POWERFUL HE IS " read one of the many internet postings about Byrd.

Of course for " Senator Byrd, a `former' Ku Klux Klansman, to again

become third in line to succeed the President the Democrats would

have to regain control of the US Senate. Here another internet

posting keeps up with

Byrd's current activities: " October 3, 2002 Robert C. Byrd was the

only Senator in the 100-member chamber to vote against opening debate

on the Iraq question. The Senate has opened debate on Joint

Resolution

46, a resolution authorizing the President to use whatever force he

deems necessary in Iraq or elsewhere. Byrd was first elected to the

Senate in 1958 and has now served for 44 years. " Of course Byrd has a

long record in such matters.

Ultra-right-wing extremst and notorious anti-Israel CNN Crossfire

co-host Robert Novak, interviewing Colin Powell, of all people,

quoted

his fellow anti-Israel lunatic Senator Robert Byrd:

" MR. NOVAK: Mr. Secretary, Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, the

president pro tem of the Senate, often speaks his mind. He did this

week, and we'll put it up on the screen. He said, " If we expect to

kill every terrorist in the world, that's going to keep us going

beyond doomsday. How long can we afford this? "

http://www.state.gov/secretary/rm/2002/8624.htm

How long could the terrorists afford to continue to be wiped out by

the US government we wonder? Well I guess that question never

occurred

to Byrd or to the online Egyptian newspaper AL-AHRAM which used the

same quote from Byrd. Clearly Byrd hates the idea of wiping out arab

terrorists.

http://www.ahram.org.eg/weekly/2002/576/re74.htm

Published in Cairo by AL-AHRAM established in 1875 Al-Ahram Weekly

Online 7 - 13 March 2002 Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia: " If we

expect to kill every terrorist in the world, that's going to keep us

going beyond doomsday, " he said. " How long can we afford this? " The

thing is, though clearly Byrd, Novak, and Al Ahram aren't interested,

is that we cannot afford not to continue to go after terrorists like

arafat and bin Laden and their master Saddam Hussein. All of whom we

guess must be among Byrd's and Novak's biggest fans. THIS FROM AN

ANTI-ISRAEL SOURCE: " only Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV) had a perfect

record of zero compliance with recommendations of the American Israel

Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Israel's principal Washington, DC

lobby. " Quite a turn of phrase there, in case it slipped by you, the

anti-Israel source quoted immediately above used the

word " compliance "

, a buzz-word among classical anti-Semites in their " vast Jewish

conspiracy " theories.

THIS FROM a very different sort of source entirely: " Friends, if ever

on

Capitol Hill, Robert Byrd: " Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002 Sen. Byrd Gripes

About War on Terror Senator Robert Byrd, D-W.Va., the famous former

Ku

Klux Klansman, complained today, " There's no end in sight in our

mission in Afghanistan. " The remarks " were among the harshest in

Congress yet about the anti-terrorism campaign, " the Associated Press

noted today. Long ago saddled with the nickname Senator Pork for his

notoriously wasteful squandering of taxpayer dollars, Byrd controls

spending legislation as chairman of the Senate Appropriations

Committee. Though he loves bringing boondoggle make-work projects

home

to West Virginia, he has begun expressing reluctance about footing

the bill for ending terrorism. " Byrd's obstructionism to fighting

terrorists like arafat and bin Laden and their master: Saddam

Hussein,

seems to have no bounds, " Thursday, October 10, 2002 By a 66-31 vote,

the Senate rejected an amendment by Sen. Robert Byrd D-W.Va. - the

most outspoken Senate opponent of the war resolution - that would

have ended the authorization for him to use force against Iraq after

two years. " Fortunately a number of people on and off the net have

been keeping track of the terrorists' best friend on Capitol Hill, US

Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, for instance: " WHY AM I NOT

SURPRISED? Finally, Congress has somewhat meekly voiced its support

for Israel. The Senate version of the bill was symbolic and largely

omitted language from the House which placed blame on Arafat. Despite

the watering down in the Senate, two members voted against it: " The

two most senior Democrats, Sens. Robert Byrd of West Virginia and

Ernest " Fritz " Hollings of South Carolina, still opposed it, however

Byrd is a former Klansman. " http://opinionated.blogspot.com/

" This ex-Klansman wasn't just a passive member of the nation's most

notorious hate group. According to news accounts and biographical

information, Sen. Byrd was a " Kleagle " -an official recruiter who

signed up members for $10 a head. He said he joined because it

" offered excitement " and because the Klan was an " effective force " in

" promoting traditional American values. " Nothing like the thrill of

gathering `round a midnight bonfire, , tying nooses, and promoting

white supremacy with a bunch of your hooded friends. The ex-Klansman

allegedly ended his ties with the group in 1943. He may have stopped

paying dues, but he continued to pay homage to the KKK. (someone) in

West Virginia discovered a letter Sen. Byrd had written to the

Imperial Wizard of the KKK three years after he says he abandoned the

group. He wrote: " The Klan is needed today as never before and I am

anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia " and " in every state

in the Union. " The ex-Klansman later filibustered the landmark 1964

Civil Rights Act-for more than 14 hours. He also opposed the

nominations of the Supreme Court's two black justices, liberal

Thurgood Marshall and conservative Clarence Thomas. Meanwhile, author

Graham Smith recently discovered another letter Sen. Byrd wrote after

he quit the KKK, this time attacking desegregation of the armed

forces. The ex-Klansman vowed never to fight " with a Negro by my

side.

Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in

the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours

become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest

specimen from the wilds. "

http://www.capitalismmagazine.com/2001/march/mm_byrd_kkk.htm

All it would take for Byrd to become President of the United States

would be for Democrats to regain control of the US Senate and

Saddam's Saddemocrats, and, or, arab terrorists, to " remove "

President Bush, Vice President Cheney and the Speaker of the

House. " One of the most influential Nazi spies in the U.S. was Dr.

Walter

Becher, an anti-Communist " refugee leader " from the Hitler regime.

Becher joined the Nazi Party in December, 1931, and became an editor

of Die Zeit, a Nazi propaganda sheet in 1937. He was a Brown-Shirt

for

a spell and a member of the National Socialist Student Bund. He

editorialized for the purge of all Jews from state-owned radio in

Prague. During the war, Becher worked in the Goebbels Propaganda

Ministry and for the Wehrmacht as a war correspondent. Soon after the

war, he founded a newspaper in Germany that agitated for the

restoration of National Socialism. Becher had his advocates in

Washington, D.C. In 1957, Congressman Usher Burdick inserted one of

Dr. Becher's propaganda pieces in the Congressional Record, and in

August 1959, seven more appeared in the pages of the Record. When he

junketed to the States, conferences were arranged for him by the

State

Department. His geopolitical opinions were trumpeted by scores of

newspapers and the Mutual Broadcasting Network's 600 affiliates.

Dr. Becher's early contacts in Washington were McCarthy and William

Jenner in the Senate, and a handful of congressmen in the House. T.H.

Tetens in The New Germany and the Old Nazis, was awed by the Nazi's

camaraderie with Beltway politicians, and tracked his movements

through the District of Columbia: " During the early fifties, when he

first came to Washington, he began to build for himself a formidable

political machine. His scheme was very simple. If he could obtain the

support of leading politicians in the United States, his prestige and

stature would grow enormously at home.... With the help of the

McCarthy faction in the United States, he could establish a

nationwide

reputation as the foremost leader of the anti-Communist crusade. "

Among the senators who sent personal letters of support to Dr. Becher

in Munich in the 1950s: Robert Byrd. " . Senate Asks Clinton to Oppose

http://politics.wizbangblog.com/2006/09/20/george-allens-jewish-

heritage-confirmed.php

In a statement on AllenHQ and in an interview with The Jewish Daily

Forward, Senator George Allen addresses the ethnicity of his parents.

Yesterday, I found it especially reprehensible that a reporter would

impugn the attitudes of my mother, as Ms. Peggy Fox did in her first

question at the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce Senate debate. My

mother and father both taught me to abhor bigotry, and Ms. Fox's

suggestion to the contrary was deeply offensive. "

" The notion peddled by the Webb campaign that I am somehow

embarrassed by my heritage is equally offensive, and also absurd. "

" I was raised as a Christian and my mother was raised as a

Christian. And I embrace and take great pride in every aspect of my

diverse heritage, including my Lumbroso family line's Jewish

heritage, which I learned about from a recent magazine article and

my mother confirmed. "

" On several occasions through the years, I have mentioned publicly

that my mother's father was incarcerated by the Nazis. I have never

known whether he was persecuted by the Nazis because of his

nationality, his religious faith, his role as a community leader, or

his part in the anti-Nazi resistance. What I do know is that my

grandfather's imprisonment by the Nazis had a profound impact on my

mother. It was a subject she found painful to discuss and so we

almost never discussed it. "

" Some may find it odd that I have not probed deeply into the details

of my family history, but it's a fact. We in the Allen household

were simply taught that what matters is a person's character,

integrity, effort, and performance - not race, gender, ethnicity or

religion. And so whenever we would ask my mother through the years

about our family background on her side, the answer always was, `Who

cares about that?' "

" My mother has lived a long and full life, and I hope and pray she

will enjoy many more years. She deserves respect and she also

deserves privacy, especially where painful memories are concerned. I

sincerely hope that simple decency will be respected. "

In case you missed the question, here it is:

" It has been reported, " said Fox, that " your grandfather Felix, whom

you were given your middle name for, was Jewish. Could you please

tell us whether your forebears include Jews and, if so, at which

point Jewish identity might have ended? "

In a campaign most notable for missteps, Allen's response confounds

pundits, but in our estimation plays very well to potential voters,

at a visceral, emotional level. He wasn't being questioned about a

his family history, he was being accused of hiding it. The

desperation of Jim Webb's Netroots Coordinator Lowell Feld to make

this persona matter an issue should be spotlighted by the Allen

campaign - repeatedly. Privacy, or more importantly inappropriate

incursions into ones private life, is an issue that everyone can

identify with, and voters have a history of being very supportive of

politicians requests to allow them a level of privacy in their

family - for example Clinton and Bush's protectiveness of their

daughters privacy.

This clip, where Allen's justifiable outrage at the tone and

aspersions of the question, will go along way …

The response shows an Allen who is passionate, raw, unscripted, and

protective of his family. Anyone who thinks those qualities are a

negative with voters is just deluding themselves. " Here is a story

about Senator Allen's opponent Jim Webb, a.k.a.

James Webb, that you will NEVER see on the Saddemocrat controlled

media:

" Webb's alleged use of a racial epithet

In late September, Webb was asked if he had ever used the " N-word. "

Webb replied that " I don't think that there's anyone who grew up

around the South that hasn't had the word pass through their lips at

one time in their life. " Webb noted that that word and a lot of

other epithets were in " Fields of Fire, " a novel Webb wrote about

the Vietnam War.

Allen campaign officials referred reporters to Dan Cragg, a former

acquaintance of Webb's. Craig said that Webb told him in 1983 that

Webb and members of his ROTC unit at the University of Southern

California would " hop into their cars, and would go down to Watts , "

taking fake rifles, yell out epithets, " point the rifles at them,

pull the triggers and then drive off laughing. "

By contrast, although he has wrongfully been painted as a racist by

the

Saddemocrat controlled media US Senator George Allen, Republican of

Virginia is

no such thing. He is in fact, just the opposite.

As a US Senator George Allen sponsored legislation to award $1.25

billion in

grants for computers and technology for historically black colleges

and

universities — the measure died in the US House of Representatives.

" I have worked very hard in the Senate to reach out to all

Americans, regardless

of their race, religion, ethnicity or gender, " Senator George Allen

said.

Senator George Allen proposed that the Senate apologize for its

failure to enact anti-lynching laws in the 1930's and 40's.

In fact Senator Allen is being politically lynched every day in the

Saddemocrat controlled media. He is no racist.

We have what we believe is a credible theory about the so-called

" macaca " incident. What we did not know at the time the so-called

" macaca " story appeared was that Senator Allen's mother is Jewish.

We found that out later. Jews of the generation of Senator Allen's

mother

frequently speak one version of Yiddish or another.

Here is some of the coverage of the so-called " macaca " incident:

" This fellow here, over here with the yellow shirt, Macaca, or

whatever his name

is, he's with my opponent, " Mr. Allen said on Friday night at a

rally in Breaks,

next to the Kentucky border. " He's following us around everywhere.

And it's just

great…. The senator's communications director, John Reid, said in an

interview

Tuesday that Allen campaign workers had good-naturedly nicknamed Mr.

Sidarth

" Mohawk " because he would not disclose his name and the sobriquet

seemed

appropriate for Mr. Sidarth's hairstyle. Perhaps, Mr. Reid

suggested, " Mohawk "

morphed into " macaca, " with results that turned out to be

regrettable.

After his initial use of the term, Mr. Allen went on to urge the

crowd to " give

a welcome to Macaca here. Welcome to America and the real world of

Virginia

.. " Mr. Reid said those words were not an effort to stamp

a " foreigner " label on

Mr. Sidarth, who was born in Fairfax County , Va. People who follow

the campaign

of Mr. Allen, who was born in California , know that he often talks

about " the

real America , real people in the real world, " meaning people

outside the

Washington Beltway, Mr. Reid said. Mr. Allen expressed further

regrets on

Tuesday, saying, " I apologize if my comments offended this young

man. "

What we believe Senator Allen was trying to say was

fakakta: Yiddish for crazy, all mixed up.

There are thousands of online examples of the word fakakta

off flesh and spat it out as blood ran down their chins. As the

leaders

applauded, the girls

then attached the snakes to sticks and grilled them over the fire,

eating them triumphantly. After this, militiamen " strangled puppies

and drank

their blood. " Such demonstrations are clearly intended to send a

message to the

regime's domestic opponents. "

" The Wall Street Journal October 25, 1990 With a sudden flash of

teeth and claws, our new Syrian ally has pounced on what remains of

Lebanon. Syrian troops, who have been occupying most of Lebanon

since 1984, overran the headquarters of General Michel Aoun, the

military chief of Lebanon's Maronite Christians, on Oct. 13. No

organized military resistance to Syria now exists in what was once

the Arab world's best approximation of democracy. *** With

Washington's smiles turning back toward Damascus, Syrian President

Hafez Assad grabbed his opportunity, and General Aoun has been

driven to seek refuge in the French Embassy in Beirut. At least 30,

and perhaps as many as 100, of General Aoun's followers were

captured by Syrian soldiers, handcuffed, lined up and shot in the

back of the head. On Sunday in the town of Baabda, gunmen in

Lebanese army uniforms murdered another of the few remaining

Lebanese leaders to dare to oppose Syrian control-Danny Chamoun-and

his wife and two young sons. France has asked the United Nations to

investigate the atrocities that have followed the Syrian takeover.

The U.S has not joined that request. The State Department,

instantaneous and eager in its condemnation of Israel, has yet to

mumble a word of displeasure about Syria's killings. As the Syrians

descend on Lebanon, so soon after their brother Baathists consumed

Kuwait, we hope the Bush Administration is able to sustain a clear-

eyed view of America's new Middle Eastern ally, Hafez Assad. "

Can you imagine the nightmare of Hillary Rodham Clinton elected

President in 2008 and James Webb,a.k.a. Jim Webb, elected Vice

President in

2008? What sort of views does Webb have of Bashir al Assad, the son

of the

Syrian dictator Hafez Al Assad, and his Baathist regime?

Here is Webb being quoted about Syria, the nation from which and

through which most of the terrorists who are murdering Americans and

coalition

forces and innocent Iraqis right now come from,in 2006:

" On the current situation in the Middle East, Webb said he believes

the U.S. must befriend Syria and try to use that country as an ally… "

And if under President Hillary Rodham Clinton and Vice President

James Webb,

a.k.a. Jim Webb, or President Webb should something happen to

Presdient Hillary

Rodham Clinton the U.S. befriends Syria and tries to use Syria as an

ally what

country or countries will

Syria be used as an ally against?

Against Israel? Syria is no friend of Israel. So if under President

Hillary

Rodham Clinton and Vice President James Webb, a.k.a. Jim Webb

America becomes the friend of Syria and the Syria is the enemy of

Israel does America become the enemy of Israel? Does America nuke

Israel? Does America round up American Jews and open extermination

camps? In

America can a sitting US Senator be asked whether he has Jewish

ancestry? Think

it can't happen here? It just did in Virginia!

SYRIAN THREAT, ROCKET THREATS

Tensions with Syria continue, while Israel Air Force officer says

short-range rockets are the main threat.

Syria's Information Minister Muhsin Bilal says the " Syrian nation

will not wait

much longer for the return of the Golan Heights. " He told the

Egyptian Al-Ahram

newspaper that though Syria has waited patiently for 16 years hoping

the " peace

for land " formula would be implemented, " nothing has happened. " In

the

meanwhile, an Israel Air Force officer said today that the main

threat against

Israel today stems from short-range rockets from Gaza, Lebanon and

possibly

Judea and Samaria. " If the IDF had had full intelligence on

everything going on

in southern Lebanon near Israel, we could have prepared better for a

better

solution, both from the air and on the ground, to the short-range

Katyusha

missiles, " he said. The officer said that the maps used by the Air

Force were

more up-to-date than those used by the ground forces. Two Kassam

rockets were

fired by Palestinian terrorists in Gaza Monday morning. The rockets

landed just

short of the northern Gaza border fence, causing no damage. "

And what of Hamas, whose headquarters are in Damascus,Syria?

" Report: Hamas weighing large-scale conflict with Israel

....Hamas smuggled hundreds of tons of weapons from Egypt into Gaza

Strip Aaron

Klein, WND Hamas has succeeded in smuggling " hundreds of tons " of

weapons from

Egypt into the Gaza Strip and is preparing for the possibility of

launching a

large-scale conflict with Israel... Hamas has smuggled from the

Egyptian Sinai

desert between several hundred and 1,300 tons of advanced rockets;

anti-tank and

anti-aircraft missiles; rocket propelled grenades; raw explosives;

rifles;

ammunition; and other heavy weaponry....Israel withdrew from the

Gaza Strip last

year. In a deal brokered in November by Secretary of State

Condoleezza Rice, the

Egypt-Gaza border, once controlled by the Jewish state, now is

manned by

Egyptian and (so-calle) " palestinian " security officials and is

observed by

European monitors. The monitors reportedly have fled their duty

several times

the past few months. Israeli security officials have noted multiple

breaches in

border security, including the transport of terrorists and weapons

across the

border. They say several key sections of the border are penetrable

and that

smuggling tunnels that snake under the border

are " thriving. " ...since the

Jewish state withdrew from Gaza, the (so-called) " palestinians "

successfully

have transferred hundreds of tons of weapons into the Strip. " If we

don't move

to counter this smuggling, it will continue and create a situation

in Gaza

similar to the one in southern Lebanon, " (Yuval Diskin,

director of Israel's Shin Bet Security Services, said)referring to

Hizbullah's

development of large rocket and weapons arsenals in south Lebanon

for use

against Israel. Hizbullah `turning Gaza into south Lebanon'... " he

is right. We

are turning Gaza into south Lebanon, " said Abu Ahmed, northern Gaza

leader for

the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group. " We learned from

Hizbullah's victory

that Israel can be defeated if we know how to hit them and if we are

well

prepared, " Abu Ahmed said. " We are importing rockets and the

knowledge to launch

them and we are also making many plans for battle. " Abu Abdullah, a

leader of

Hamas' so-called " military wing " told WND his group is preparing for

war against

Israel. " In the last 15 months, even though the fighters of Hamas

kept the

cease-fire, we did not stop making important advancements and

professional

training on the military level. In the future, after Hamas is

obliged to stop

the cease-fire, the world shall see our new military capabilities, "

said Abu

Abdullah, who is considered one of the most important operational

members of

Hamas' Izzedine al-Qassam Martyrs Brigades, Hamas'

declared " resistance "

department. Al Aqsa's Abu Ahmed said his group is receiving help

from Hizbullah

to import long-range rockets and train in guerrilla warfare

tactics. " We have

warm relations with Hizbullah, which helps with some of the training

programs, "

Abu Ahmed said. " We don't have anything to be ashamed of - that we

are dealing

with Hizbullah and that we are receiving training and information

from them. " He

said Hizbullah maintains cells in the Sinai. " The Sinai is an

excellent ground

for training, the exchange of information and weapons and for

meetings on how to

turn every piece of land into usable territory for a confrontation

with Israel, "

Abu Ahmed said. The terror leader said (so-called) " palestinian "

groups are

developing war bunkers inside Gaza imilar to the underground

Hizbullah lairs

Israel found during last month's war in Lebanon. " Our preparations

include the

building of special bunkers. Of course, we are taking into

consideration that

Gaza is not the same topography as Lebanon, " Abu Ahmed said. During

its

confrontation with Hizbullah, Israel destroyed scores of complex

bunkers that

snaked along the Lebanese side of the Israel-Lebanon border.

Military officials

said they were surprised by the scale of the Hizbullah bunkers, in

which Israeli

troops reportedly found war rooms stocked with advanced

eavesdropping and

surveillance equipment they noted were made by Iran. Abu Ahmed said

the most

important " tool " in the so-called " palestinian resistance arsenal

was rockets.

He said his group learned from Hizbullah that Israel can be defeated

with

missiles. " We saw that with the capacity to bombard the Israeli

population with

hundreds of rockets every day we can change the strategic balance

with Israel, "

he said. Since Israel's Gaza withdrawal, so-called " palestinian "

terror groups

have been regularly firing rockets at nearby Jewish communities. The

terrorists

generally have fired three versions of Qassam rockets, improvised

steel

projectiles filled with explosives and fuel. Qassams can travel

between one and

five miles depending on the sophistication of the particular rocket.

Israel has noted improvements in Qassams, including rockets carrying

double

engines. Israeli security officials say a large number of Katyusha

rockets have

been brought into Gaza. Katyushas can travel about 12 miles and can

deliver

large payloads. Hizbullah fired more than 2,800 Katyusha rockets

into Israel in

July and August, devastating many northern towns. In August, Islamic

Jihad fired

a Katyusha rocket into the Israeli Negev. It landed in an empty

area. In June

the group fired a Katyusha-like rocket that traveled about nine

miles. " The

Katyusha we fired (in August) shows we can have every weapon we

need, " said Abu

Ahmed. " It is only a matter of a small period before Gaza is ready

for war. "
