Guest guest
Peak Oil A Climate bomb is brewing and the carrying capacity of our energy sources are depleting faster then ever anticipated. In the last 100 years we have consumed half of the known oil reserves of the planet, and at this point, we are now extracting about 5 times as much oil each year as we discover. With the modernization of China and India the worlds demand for oil has surpassed our ability to keep up with supply. This is what is termed " Peak Oil " and most geologists agree that the planet has reached its peak as of 2005 or will by 2010. As Steve Andrews has said, " There's no point in arguing when peak oil will happen. It could be next year, it could be 2015. That decade is here. " The U.S. oil supply peaked in the 70's and we began an official policy of " free trade " , or " globalization " , that states that the worlds natural resources must go to the highest bidder. A policy written by U.S. based corporations to sustain our economy and the need for the resources it takes to maintain it. The war which " will not end in our lifetimes " is being waged because the world is beginning to run out of oil and gas. The gap between demand and production will increase forever. This is called Peak Oil and there is only enough conventional oil to last at present consumption rates for 35 years. Yet demand is increasing every year and there are no more large reserves to find. To secure the Empire and the American way of Life we have embarked on what I have termed Neocon Imperialism or Apocalypse Now. A unilateral vision of global imperialism that has used 9/11 as a pretense to invade the middle east oil fields in an effort to control Eurasian resources and establish military bases in the region. Bases to prepare for the coming conflict with China as described in the Rebuilding Americas Defenses Doctrine from the Project for the New American Century think tank or what is called PNAC. War and Globalization are the two fundamental principals of the new doctrine espoused by the current administrations policies. Policies that are bent on the furtherance of Full Spectrum Dominance, the key term in the Joint Vision 2020, a blueprint for the United States Department of Defense and the Pentagons new Map of the future.
