Healthful Omega 3 Fatty Acids

An animal study conducted by researchers at the UCLA School of Medicine found that increasing omega-3 fatty acids while reducing omega-6 fatty acids in the diet could slow the progression of prostate cancer.

"Our study showed that altering the fatty acid ratio found in the typical Western diet to include more omega-3 fatty acids and decreasing the amount of omega-6 fatty acids reduced prostate cancer tumor growth rates and PSA levels in mice," said senior author Dr. William J. Aronson. –NewsTarget

Came across a VERY interesting take on this topic, by a Dr Barry Sears, entitled "The Inflammation Zone", where he covers quite a few areas such as this.......

Perhaps we males need to really take notice of such an approach --- NOT to say that the ladies do not have a benefit or three to gain from his approach.

Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA (not LNA in e.g. flax oil) shrink

cancer and BPH too; some studies along these lines appear on my

Budwig Diet revision page. Progesterone cream shrinks BPH by

blocking estradiol conversion, and I just saw case references

from Dr. John Lee that showed progesterone worked in prostate

cancer as well. And don't forget the saw palmetto.
