Guest guest
grow it myself.. had plants that were over 25 years old and the ones i have now are babies from them. I use the leaf itself (always taking the outside larger leafs to keep the plat symetrical) and take the jell from it fresh when needed. I've never made a tincture as thought the fresh was better. is this so or should i make tinctures? love.. granny lee - Candace Podratz herbal remedies Wednesday, March 31, 2004 3:17 PM Herbal Remedies - Curiosity....Aloe Do any of you guys/gals have your own aloe plant or do you buy aloe somewhere? Guest guest
I have a plant on the porch that is around 15 years old get you one and if it dies over winter get you another one. Just mother nature cleaning up. put it in the Bathroom window over winter should get enouph light there.you can also pinch of leaves and put them in the fridge for a long time with no problems in wrap or baggies. burns happen in the winter also from stoves and heaters. --- Suzanne <suziesgoats wrote: > I try to always have a plant around... it's good for > burns, etc. > Suzi > > Candace Podratz <CandaceAndBrock > wrote: > Do any of you guys/gals have your own aloe plant or > do you buy aloe somewhere? > I always used to buy the " pure aloe vera " from the > store but recently read that it's basically junk. > Well there goes my $1 sunburn soother!
