The best natural antibiotic would be total tonic (in the files under Dr.Ian SHillington) and easy to make, '

Also lobelia is very good for asthma... make a tincture.

Hi, all. I am new to the list. My name is Marian, and I have joinedthis list primarily to find out herbal alternatives and remedies for mydd who is 11 and has asthma. She had been on a steroid inhaler sincelast June, and finally got taken off of it in February because she washaving so many side effects from the inhaler. Also, her allergist hadtried her with various other inhalers, both maintenance and rescue, overthe course of the eight months; and she could not tolerate them. She washaving more problems being on them than the asthma was giving her. Herallergist pulled her off of the inhalers and recommended allergy shots. We told him that we wanted to try a less invasive approach. I had herseen by a "natural" pharmacist who has put her on a wheat-free,gluten-free diet for the time being. She is also on a probiotic and fishoil

supplement. I also order herbal tinctures from a lady in NH. Hertinctures have helped my dd so far.My dd is also allergic to most antibiotics. Her regular dr. had herreferred for antibiotic testing since he didn't believe me when he wouldprescribe something and she would react. It turns out she is allergic toat least 2 of the major classes of antibiotics--sulfa (which we knewbecause she got purple welts from that) and penicillin. She also doesn'tdo very well with mixes of classes. Well, my dd had a virus last weekwith fever to 103; and even though that broke on Thursday, the cough gotworse. The herbal remedies were not working and I took her to the dr.today. He diagnosed her with bronchitis. Today when she was seen, her temp. was normal. Her dr. is holding off ongiving any antibiotic given her history and wants to return her to heruse of her asthma inhalers. What a way to introduce myself! Anyway, I'm glad to be

here. Anysuggestions would be welcome.I hope to learn a lot from this group to keep my dd and my whole familywell.MarianFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1.
