Raising kids is not the easiet thing to do. Especially ones that tend to get a bit round in the middle. Granted you may have kids that appear to have good eating habits since you make healthier decisions for them. That does not mean that the parenting of others is less appropriate or not good enough. It is just different and not what you would or may do, at least it is not what you have done.

I am not one of those who makes my work better by degrading the works of others. I don't wish to make your story look bad to make mine look better I am wanting to show that each is responsible for bringing its specific details forward through well established communication.

Somewhere there are alot of people who need to learn better health. We have been taught how to look at the food diagram (that infamous triangle) and see what we are supposed to eat. Some people lack vision and do as they are told and do not stray from that fact. That FDA approved daily food source diagram is an unhealthy way of eating and it suffers from culture lag. it is still being taught in schools today. We needed it to support the industry and to stabilize our economy. To ensure our resources during periods of war were established so that our country did not starve. Many Americans still to that chart. 3 servings of grain 3 servings of poultry and fish, 4 servings of milk and dairy.

I just wanted ot mention this that the parents may or may not be able to change what they may or may not be aware of or the hidden dangers in eating if they themselves eat similarily. This may or may not be the case but accusing them of not being good parents may not be the best way to explain to others in a internet forum that your kids eat healthy.

But that is just me....

Reading this just brought to my attention. I was at the health food store with my kids today and I bought her a ready packed lunch for kids. We sat outside in the pavilion for lunch. Sitting across from us were 4 little boys around the ages of 5 and 6 eating nothing but Chick'fo'lay (not sure how this is spelled) junky fast food full of fat. I gave my daughter whom is 2 years old her lunch (PB & J sandwish, apple and raisins w/organge juice. She choose to eat the apple and some raisins. The kids kept stearing at her, I mean one kid had his eyes glued to her and even mentioned her name softly to his friends. They overheard me calling her name. I just thought, how could their parents allow them to eat such food at a health food store. It just goes to show that some parents have no reality on how to raise a child on a proper diet and not care what they eat as long as their eating something.

Just my 2cents - sorry. Thanks for listening.

Yes, the fast food places and sedentary lifestyle encouraged by TV and video games are pathetic. The thing about all this that kills me, though, is that the parents and kids included are still looking for that "magic pill" to solve the problems. "Healthier" fast food, as if... When all they have to do is MAKE A CHOICE - get off their butts, exercise, eat better, etc. They have completely abdicated all responsibility for their own health and well being, and put that responsibility in the hands of criminals - the alleopathic medical community. Makes my blood boil!

It's so sad how sedentary kids are these days. Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. If you are pregnant, consult your physician before using any natural remedy. 3. The Constitution guarantees you the right to be your own physician and toprescribe for your own health.
