I did not find it binding at all. In fact, I believe it helped keep me regular.

MJ,

Nope... Slippery elm is one of the ingredients in Intestinal Cleanse #2 that you need when doing a colon cleanse

A sluggish bowel can retain POUNDS of old, toxic and poisonous fecal matter. Many times the real cause behind sickness and disease is this retention and re-absorption of this toxic waste. In order to eliminate this excess and harmful waste, please consider doing a color cleanse. (do #1 and #2)

I have a damn near DEAD colon. If I don't take Form #1 I don't go for weeks at a time. Take Form #1 and you can take slippery elm bark with no problems.

If you're not taking anything to make you poop you'll want to steer clear of slippery elm!

I have a couple bottles of each formula from Dr. Schulze. After they're gone, I think I'm going to try to make my own.

Don't ask what I eat and drink. ~blushes~

I'm still having a hard time coming up with interesting healthy things to eat. When I snack, I tend to eat carrots and pickles but when I get bored of those I nibble on cheese and tuna and wheat bread. I'm sure those aren't exactly helping move my colon.

I don't drink enough either. I DEFINATELY need to drink more.

List of what I've eaten today:

Beef hotdog on wheat toast.

What I drank:

Nothing (gonna go do something about that NOW)

I don't feel good today and when I don't feel good I tend to eat nothing and drink nothing and the thought of my morning banana/applejuice/superfood shake makes me want to vomit. I can't drink anything thick when my tummy is angry.

My diet today was quite pathetic. I think maybe I should start writing down what I eat each day on a piece of paper so I THINK about what I'm shoveling or not shoveling in for that matter.

I'm better than I used to be about drinking; my mom mentioned appx a year ago that maybe I need to drink more fluids. She asked how much water I drank that day and I realized I hadn't had ANY water in weeks. Only a little orange juice each day if that. It's a wonder I didn't shrivel up and blow away. I'm not THAT bad now, but I still need to improve. I just don't ever get thirsty.

WELLLLLLLLLLL Candace,

I think we just figured out a good portion of your problem... To put it bluntly...

YOUR DIET STINKS. (sorry)

You have got to first get more distilled water in your system. Get yourself some organic lemons and add a slice to your water...(you'll find you'll start wanting more) Get a pitcher or something you can keep it in the fridge and each day you know you have to finish it... everytime you go by the fridge get a drink.. Put a glass on your desk, if you work.etc.. More (organic) juices. More fruits/vegies, sprouted grains.

No more hot dogs (for now and then, later organic) no more wheat bread unless its sprouted wheat.. Quit the tuna for now. Snacks....try raisins, nuts, pumpkin seeds, dried apple slices, etc.

Try straight apple juice, grape, etc... and add Total nutrition once a day to your morning drink.

You aren't flushing out your system at all...

OK, now that I've totally messed up your routine...lol... you need to do some serious changing... check out on the web...living and raw foods.. .you'll get some ideas... or do a web search ...juice recipes..

You and you alone can change your health... but it will take the work on your part...

and we're all here to support you.

I try to drink a minimum of a gallon a day of water. This is not

counting what is in foods. I rarely find anything else that I can drink

so for me it's water 99.99% of the time. I found that when I

increased my water intake, my bowel function improved with it.

I also started using sea salt (1/2 tsp per day) so my body cells can

retain and use the water. That seems to have helped quite a few

functions for me.

I'm glad to hear the improvement.. keep going Candace!!! Got any total tonic made yet?

If so, take it 3-4 times a day if you'r coming down with something.

SuziCandace Podratz <CandaceAndBrock wrote:

My diet isn't normally quite this bad. I just feel horrible today and a hot dog was a very fast thing to make!

Since then I had 6 glasses of water and made myself some homemade chicken (from my mom's farm organic as organic gets) wild rice, broccoli, carrot, and celery soup.

YUM.

Still feel like crud and toddler is peeing out his butt so I think he's got whatever I have although I'm never lucky enough to get diarhea.
