Yeah,

In a way it is kind of sad, that the govt has stepped in here to take

control of something that up until now, was goverened by several

growers associations and independent organic certifications.

I mean i am really happy when i see that seal of approval, but dont

want to be limited to my choices because the Govt decided who was and

who wasnt deemed worthy in their eyes.

If you know of a local or other farm that offers the products you

want, then get to know them, ask for references (like who else buys

from them and any co-ops or restaurants). Ask where they buy their

raw materials, etc. If they want your business and they seem like

they are legitimate, they should be only to happy to provide you with

any info you'd like to see. If they dont seem cooperative, then i

would be concerned that they have something to hide, and then dont

buy from them.

When i am unable to get organics, i look for the next closest thing

and that is all natural ingredients. It is the same as when i am out

and if i need to eat something.
