Guest guest
Hi MJD, If you are determined to use up food items you have on hand until they are gone and you can purchase new stuff, absolutely. We just used an existing Pizza recipe we had for the the dough. Same with the Pesto recipe, we used a recipe from an Italian cook book i have and used sporuted Pine nuts. So far i am using most of my old receipes with new ingredients and making either none or very few changes. I dont know what to suggest on the veggie juices for your son. I can barely drink them myself (other than carrot juice) and opt to eat the veggies. Carrot mixes great with Orange by the way and i have been able to get the grandsons to have some now and then. Guest guest
I just had a thought. MJD does your son like chips and salsa??? You could juice a tomato, some onion, some garlic (as much as you think you can get away with hehehehe) and maybe a small (super small) piece of habanero or jalapeno and add to some diced tomato and make him some fresh salsa that he can eat with tortilla chips. Alot of kids will pick the bigger chunks out and miss out on the advantage of the onion and garlic, but if you add them to the salsa as a juice, he would never know as long as it tastes good. You might even be able to add a bit of cabbage juice??? (experiment!) Obviously this would be yummy on a good veggie taco too!
