Guest guest
G, Gatorade has other stuff in it not good for the body compared to fruits, veggies, grains, etc. Potassium is found in highest amounts in fresh, unprocessed food. Although bananas have a reputation as good potassium sources, they contain only 400 mg of potassium each. In comparison, 1 cup of lima beans has 1,000 mg of potassium, and 1 baked potato has 900 mg. Even a glass of fresh orange juice has more potassium than a banana, coming in at 500 mg of potassium per cup. ALSO, check the files under Dr.IanShillington for Potassium Broth. the best organic potassium SuziKingofspades <gsovereign wrote: Marilyn if that is the case then the 2 best sources of potassium I know of are: Yogurt (offset to alot of carbs though) and another is gatorade or power drink vitamin stores only sell close to 99 mg potassium. Also, potassium is needed in your diet, what is your diet like? And what type of shoes are you wearing? You can use Deep tissue oil which will help. Suzi Finance Tax Center - File online. Guest guest
if your definition of Charlie Horse is leg cramps where the feet draw up and the muscles draw up to til you think they are going to tear out of your body then what keeps mine in check is one 5mg capsul of quinine once a month. if i fail to take it for two or three minth, my feet and legs let me know! love.. granny lee - Marilyn Pokorney herbal remedies Sunday, March 21, 2004 8:25 PM Herbal Remedies - Charlie Horse Hi everyone, I've been a lurker for awhile and now have a question. What is good for a Charlie Horse? I stand all day for 8 hours or more with an hour for lunch to break up the 8 hours. But it's still getting to be too many hours. I wear support hose to prevent my ankles from swelling. I'm also taking horse chestnut to prevent any future varicose veins. I'm in my late 40's so I'm not getting any younger. I barely recover over the weekend only to have Monday roll around much too fast. Thanks in advance for all the advice. :-) Marilyn

Guest guest
yep, nearly every day, morning and evening 1 tsp full. occasionally i will forget. also take PP, TN and TT, also try to take one capsul of these a day, much more and the pepper is a bit strong! It's a good idea, while preparing this, to wear gloves and face mask.. Combine the following powders: 2 oz. Senna [a laxative] 2 oz. Aloe leaf [a laxative] 2 oz. Cascara [a laxative] 1 oz. Barberry root 1 oz. ginger 1 oz. Fennel 2 oz. African bird pepper [this is extremely hot; it is rated 135,000.] 1 oz. garlic In order to keep from inhaling this mixture, it should be placed in a gallon jar and with the lid on, roll the jar around so that the contents will be well blended. Jim Gearhart gave this to me in about 1994 and he got it from a Dr.. forgot the name.. something like Schol..??? - Suzanne herbal remedies Tuesday, March 23, 2004 7:07 AM Re: Herbal Remedies - Charlie Horse Lee, Do you take MSM ? Guest guest
Are you taking 2 tsp of msm or of all the ingredients? If All - try taking a bit more... For each herb you add you decrease the power... i.e. if you have 1 herb 100%, 2 - 50% etc. etc. Say a tablespoon in am and a tsp in evening...
