> You never know... It does not appear to be phsycological > Also he

has had this ever since he can remember!

Hi Jaime:

Something else popped in my head. Does he have any older siblings?

Please don't laugh. I went to school with a girl who put her baby

brother (a few days old) in the dishwasher because she wanted to

help mommy give the baby a bath. She actually succeeded in getting

him on the bottom shelf and closing the door before their mom showed

up to rescue him. :-)

If somebody was poking and prodding him down there, it could be

something he remembered for a long time.

Has he ever gone to the doctor about it?

Take care!

See what you think of my belief: From what i have read and experienced, the sensation of 'tickle' is a very mild pain, as is an 'itch.'

During a college hazing years back, a boy was literally 'tickled to death'. i am not very ticklish, but then i have a high pain threshold. when i was a child anyone tickling me had to dig hard enough that it became a matter of hurting the muscle tissue.

Also the laproscopy may have caused a lesion and it effected a nerve. when the friend was born and his umbilical cord was cut, there may have been a problem...?????...just a thought. i really think an accupuncturist or what ever they are called, may be able to help

Hi Jaime,Some people have a tendency to think of tickling as cool. However, to the recipient, it can be quite torturous. ..snip...I had a laproscopy a few years back. The doctor cut me directly through my navel. I did not develop an infection, but I've noticed if rub my stomach (as I often do with the castor packs) it is painful down there.

When you think about where the belly button is, it is exactly where the 3rd chakra is. It is the seat of all of our emotions. Think about it, when you get butterflies in your stomach etc. Can you friend try to figure out what emotion in her is "stuck". I know this sounds really out there, but I would probably do some shamanic work if this were the case to get down to what it is that is creating this.

Bonnie Rogers(2) Don't get upset, but it could be psychologicalFirst, after years of hearing this word from doctors when I was doing all but bleeding from my eyeballs, I hate even thinking it! let me explain what I mean. Some people have a tendency to think of tickling as cool. However, to the recipient, it can be quite torturous. When we were little, we'd go to our cousin's house and all of us girls would jump our uncle and tickle him. We thought it was hilarious because he was the only adult male we knew who was VERY ticklish. So, my uncle would run (probably in fear) from a bunch of silly girls. It would get to the point where my aunt would have to pull us off him because he couldn't breathe and was in tears.Even now, he has to be in his 40s or 50s and he does NOT have fond memories of this. If you walk up to him looking like you have an outstretched finger, he still flinches.I'm not really sure if this is your "friend" or a friend. If he's not that kind of friend, this is weird. :-) Try to touch his navel in his sleep or suggest it to someone who would be in a position to do that. If he does not react (e.g. wake up, grimace in his sleep, etc.) then it is probably more the anticipation of being touched that is causing the problem.I hope this is helpful.Take care, mjdFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1.
