Hi Monica:

One more thing. I did use the word " parents " but I used to get beat

by my teachers, priests, nuns, grandparents, aunts and uncles and

sometimes the neighbors if my parents weren't home. Sometimes I was

punished several times for the same offense! So, I definitely

wanted to clarify that I recognize the control people want to have

over children is not confined to the parent-offspring relationship.

Which makes it harder and harder for parents of truly disabled children to make ends meet. You wouldn't believe the paperwork, interviews, doctors appointments, and general BS I have to go through just to have enough for groceries. I am gonna stop now.

well.. how about this for a reason... many people are taking advantage of the county/state.. what ever.. in order to collect what is called 'crazy checks.' i don't know the person you described and she may not be one of these, but there is a program that if a child is having mental, or physical problems that are disabling, they can be paid a monthly 'disability'. In many instances the children are trained by the parents to act out a disability in order to pass the 'crazy check' test. If the persons who gives the tests are on the ball, they will label them a malingerer and no check. like a child trained to not respond, parents claiming his/her inability to talk, and as they go out the door he asks his momma will he get his check now!!!!! love.. granny lee

Hi Elizabeth,...snip...I don't even honestly understand why someone would even take a 4 year old to a psychiatrist in the first place, let alone give them 5 or 6 different psychotropic drugs. However, I promise, I've been good and not asked these questions aloud anywhere except here.Take care,mjd
