Guest guest
that acidophilis/grape juice sounds good.. if i ever get a cold or flu, hope i can remember it. years ago when my baby, 3yrs old, climbed up and got a bottle of aspirine and ate the contents, i made her emitt then rushed her to hospital.. the dr decided that if it hadn't effected her by now she was OK.... he didn't believe me when i told him how many aspirine were in the bottle..a lot.. any way he didn't think it necessary to pump her stomach and told me she could go home, no problem. took her home and she seemed to be getting more groggy and groggy and seemed to go in and out of a comma like condition. i called the dr and he said to give her plenty of water and if she got any worse to call him. i tried to give her water and she would just throw it up. i decided she was dehydrating and began giving her tepid enemas with an ear syringe until she stopped retaining it and i kept her from dehydrating like that then started trying to get her to eat some thin oatmeal (oatmeal broth) to help her stomach and by just keep giving her a tiny bit just on the very tip of the spoon, she finally got to where she could keep it down. it took her a while to get back to normal, but i know the oatmeal broth and the enemas saved her life. that was one of the times i totally lost faith in Dr's. just the week before a small child in Cisco or Ranger.. forget which now, did the same thing, was taken and had stomach pumped, sent home and died after a few hours. oatmeal broth, i think it is also called gruel, is very good to calm and protect the stomach. love.. granny lee
