Guest guest
I have used Chamomile tea for the grandsons before, it helps settle the tummy and seemed to help cool them a bit. For a baby you could just sponge it on his feet or put his feet in a little warm water. Guest guest
If this is that nasty flu that causes you to be queezy and vomit I came across what I feel was the remedy when I started getting the same symptons as my son. Take an acidophilous capsule and empty it in an 8oz cup of white grape juice, I am sure the grape juice can be substituted but thats what I used. It may come back up 11-15 minutes after taking it, but immediately do it again. Thats all you should need. My 18 month son wasn't able to keep anything down one evening, he had a slight fever. I dosed him with some CS and some echinecia. While this helped for the fever it would not help the stomach virus and he continued to vomit up everything we would feed him. That evening while we layed in bed my stomach started feeling queezy, and aching and I felt I was next for the stomach virus. I figured I'd go look and see what we had in the medicine cabinets (natural selection). Anyway I took an acidophilous and drank it down with some white grape juice. I noticed within about 10 minutes my stomach started feeling better and during that evening I stayed up watching over my son. In the morning he still couldn't hold anytrhing down so I poured him a cup of juice in his sippy cup and sprinkled in an acidophilous capsule. Minutes later he vomited but not before he consumed the whole sippy cup. I refilled his sippy cup and he hadn't thrown up again since and seemed completely recovered hours afterwards. When my stepchildren came back from their fathers ,they came down with the same thing, the bug was probably floating around the house. Same remedy and they recovered immediately as well. I hope this helps. I am supposing introduction of the good bacteria ( acidophilous ) is overwhelming the bacterial or viral infection in the stomach. Guest guest
Great idea... I have both on hand... I went over tonite.. with fresh apple juice and grape juice and ginger root... She had given him a little catnip/yarrow tea... his temp is still coming and going.. but he was keeping some food down... She said he drank his juice with Total nutrition down... My DIL is not totally into the organic thing but is feeding him organic baby food (yippee!).. And she does do herbs for me... so it's coming along... She is going to do the sponge ginger tea routine tonite.... asked if the ginger would help the fever... I said well it can't hurt.... I'll keep you all updated tomorrow... Thanks everyone for the help.. I wasn't into herbs when the kids were little tykes... Adults are one thing...babies another...lol Suzi PS...
