Total tonic comes to mind first for allergies/sinus... What is his diet like? Wheat can stir up allergies, etc... Does he do alot of dairy? There could be other factors here... Diet plays an important part too. Give us an idea of foods, drinks etc...

I have a question. My 10 year old son has allergies to what I believe are respitory allergns. He is allergic to dust and cigaerette smoke for sure and very likely pollen. His symptoms include itchy eyes and nose, circles under his eyes, and a stuffy head.I was wondering if there is anything natural that I may do to keep him from needing presciption allergy meds? Colby's diet is not the greatest. He does not drink alot of milk. He will have milk with his cereal. He eats an average amount of cheese. He eats a "normal" school lunch. What can you tell my about diet modifications for him? Will a change in diet help his allergies to dust, smoke, and pollen? I do not believe he has food allergies but could be wrong. To be honest, I am speculating about his resp. allergies. Thanks so much, Elizabeth

Did this get answered yet?

Anyways...

Change in diet helps a lot ... I am so tired right now I can hardly think straight, lol!

The better nutritional foundation you build the better chance the immune system has to fight off virus, bacteria, etc. When the immune system is comprimised then allergies show up on among other things!

First off try to get him off dairy products and try replacing them with things like almond milk, almond cheese, etc. Give him an alternative when you take one away, this way he won't feel deprived. Then add more fresh organic fruits and veggies... If you have a juicer make him some delicious fresh juices to help build his system up as well.. I would try to stay away from school lunches for the most part, then can be ...well....not so good.

Get him off sugars and white flour products as well... Sweeten with a little grade b maple syrup, succant, or honey if he really wants a treat. Order some sprouted spelt, wheat, or rye flour...spelt is my favorite from here if you can't find any elsewhere...

Start off by making things as you would but changing the flour to the above and then gradually wean him back to a desired amount.. That is if he eats a lot of white flour products.

Hope this helps you, diet is a big part of health no matter how you look at it. If I can help further please let me know.

God Bless,

Nettle works really well for me. Gotta take it everyday though.
