The brain and sleep disorders

I have a friend who says that the brain is not part of the

body so cleanses won't help. She says she has a problem

with her brain stem. She never feels completely awake. She

had a sleep test done and the results show that she does not

go into deep sleep IE slow wave sleep, stage 4, not to be

confused with REM. The doctor said this was not significant.

She does sleep, 7 to 9 hrs. but she wakes up tired and again

never feels completely awake. How awful that must be :-(

She is currently not on any drugs, eats the typical diet but

no sodas, coffee, no foods excessively. She is housebound,

lives alone, has no energy and is left with the dx of

chronic fatigue. She's tried various things through the

years, drug and alternatives but nothing works permanently.

I believe she's around 60 years old. Maybe 50 lbs.

overweight based on the 100 lb plus 5 lbs/inch over 5 ft.

It has been just recently that she's been able to verbalize

what she is truly feeling.

Her most recent investigation has led her to gBH. This is

known as the date rate drug but she said that it puts a

person into the deep sleep that she doesn't get. Doctors

won't prescribe it. Is there an herbal equal?

Now, I'm thinking if she's not willing to admit the brain is

part of the body, any further discussion is futile.

But, maybe you folks have some insight, I'm clueless.

Anna
