I used cashews and followed the recipe... used olive oil this time.. next time I want peanuts and will use peanut oil.... I had to keep stopping to push down the cashews but the nuts chopped up great and made a pretty good nut butter... I would not call it smooth but it sure isn't crunchy...closer to smooth.. so it can be done in a blender... Spreads nicely also.
