Guest guest
I so agree. Why do people think we're crazy, because we want to be healthy and not feed our bodies with needless junk. This morning, I gave some advice to a friend of mine, whom's baby was running a fever and very dehydrated. She was feeding the poor thing Pedialite and I know for a fact that Pedialite has lots of sugar. I gave her some advice to go the natural route and she responded pretty well, however, another friend of mine, jumped in and wrote this whole speal about Sugar providing them energy and that's what they need when their dehydrated and that's what the Doc's recommended. I mean, do what ever you want, I just give the advice and help flow. Take it or leave it, is what I say. Or let them know in no uncertain terms that your health demands you do things a little differently, and if they can't support you, then you need to say goodbye. My family does not support my choices and tried over the years to push the meat and the sweets and the rest of it at me. Told me I was being silly. I finally had to get mean--told them they caused their own diseases and I was having no part in it. From that time on, they backed off. Yes, it put a strain on our relationship, but it needed to be done. They still think I'm crazy, and that they are innocent victims of diseases they couldn't prevent (and we are talking type 2 diabestes, high blood pressure, etc. here), but at least I've freed myself of going down the path they chose. Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. If you are pregnant, consult your physician before using any natural remedy. 3. The Constitution guarantees you the right to be your own physician and toprescribe for your own health. Guest guest
An-Marie, Here is a website that might convince her... It is from Purdue... it talks about pedialyte -not using it more than 24 hours.. Print them out for her...IF you are not getting thru organically, try a new approach. IF she stops the pedialyte... you can suggest something else.. even bring it to her. Here are a few more.. http://www.cfs.purdue.edu/safefood/nutrition/infantfeedguide.html http://www.rense.com/ufo6/ped.htm really good http://www.keepkidshealthy.com/welcome/treatmentguides/gastroenteritis.html baby recipes... may help.... http://www.recipegoldmine.com/baby/baby36.html If you can't to her one way... go another path and eventually you will be able to get her to organic.. I don't know what to do, to continue with giving advice or to just shut my mouth, but then I feel bad for the kid. Mail SpamGuard - Read only the mail you want.
