I sort of wondered about that myself, not grinding so much, as

putting the empty shells into lemon juice.

 

Anyway, the amount of lemon juice is going to depend on the width

and depth of the container you are using and how many eggs you put in.

 

our jar was about 2 qts and kind of wide but it took about 9 lemmons

forth of juice to cover 5 eggs.
