Guest guest
Stacey, Anything can be cured if one, you are willing to take all the steps necessary, and 2 believe it can be so... I would first ask about his age and diet... I would really suggest you give Doc a call. as he has probably dealt with this and has better knowledge as to what type of regiment and herbs... However, in the interim, if it were me...I would suggest starting with the extracts of Nettles and Plantain. These are very safe, non-toxic herbs that mildly aid in the control of spontaneous bleeding, with a tonic effect on the organs of blood-making. There are other herbs, such as Alum Root and Shepherd's Purse that may have stronger effects on acute bleeding, due to their tannins and/or Vitamin K content. But the former herbs I mentioned would be better to start with for longer-term use, and especially if medications are also being taken. What I'm thinking is anything to strengthen his blood vessels so that they don't break and cause him to bleed, or something that would help his blood to clot, since it doesn't due to a missing clotting factor.Staceyhome birthing, baby wearing, co-sleeping, extended breastfeeding, baby signing, no diapering, no vaxing, no circing mama of five! Guest guest
Hi Stacey, It would be wonderful if herbs could heal anything, but alas, it is not true. Only the mind can heal anything. Was your son premature birth? I don't know how old your son is but cayenne would be about the best you can do to help rebuild the elasticity of his arterial walls. This will also regulate his BP. His body cannot manufacture prothrombin if the bacteria in his bowels are not there or doing their job of producing Vit. K. Start feeding him lots of Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Lactobacillus Leichmannii, Lactobacillus Bulgaricus, Lactobacillus Lactis , Lactobacillus Plantarum, Lactobacillus Caseii, Lactobacillus Brevis, Lactobacillus Caucasicus, Lactobacillus Fermenti, Lactobacillus Helveticus, Bifidobacteria Bifidum, Bacillus Subtilis, Bacillus Lichenformis , Saccharomyces Boulardii, any or all of them as they are the friendly gut bacteria that make the vitamin K. Then he will need a prebiotic to feed these guys. Inulin is very good for this and is found in garlic, onions, Jeruselum Artichokes, Chicory, Leeks, and Dandelion greens are all high in Inulin. Don't give him FOS (fructooligosaccharide), although it is a prebiotic as well it also feeds the bad bacteria where Inulin won't. Other than this I highly suggest you give Doc a call and connect up with him. Also bilberries or blueberries will help to strengthen up the veins and arterial walls too. There are many herbs and essential oils that are haemostatic and others that work on supporting the veins. I have made blends for other diseases that cause internal bleeding and hemorrhaging, but not hemophilia. I'd also need to know much more about his health. I wonder about homeopathic Aconite. There are many essential oils that come to mind- Geranium, Lemon, Lavender, & Helichrysum. I'd probably use a base of infused herbs along with essential oils- herbs like Arnica and Calendula. Bioflavonoids taken w/ C and E help protect against hemorrhaging and protect the capillaries. Vitamin K is also important for blood clotting and Zinc is also strengthening to the capillaries. Rutin helps keep the veins in good shape. Other herbs that repair and tone the veins are Hawthorn berries, Horse Chestnut, Prickly Ash, and Yarrow. Nettles and Plantain may help with bleeding, as well as Shepherd's purse and Alum rt (Vitamin K content). So many herbs can thin the blood however- I would be very careful.
