Guest guest
Elizabeth, Thank you for the remedies. They both have a runny nose. Liquied is almost clear, but still alittle white. A little bit of a cough. I think their both congested. I do put Tee Trea and Eucaluptus oil in their baths. Also rub some on their chest and back afterwards. I'll try the spray mist. For kiddos I like elderberry syrup- sweet and wonderful, essential oils specifically for the issue diffused, used in a room spray, used in bath, etc. Also properly diluted and applied where appropriate. Some teas are a good idea, lot's of water, eliminating dairy, nursing a lot if you are still nursing- breast milk is the most powerful substance on the planet imo! Then you can take lot's of Ecihnacea and Total Tonic and it will go through you breastmilk.Give some specific on their symptoms and I can reply more specifically.Head or chest cold? Fever? Croup? Ears?No dairy or processed foods. Lot's of warm teas, lot's of water, warm compresses to the chest, aromatherapy rubs, children's echinacea (in glycerine), vitamin C, Ginger tea w/ raw honey and lemon.Yarrow if there is a high fever.Teas and baths are great for kids but what herbs or oils depends on what's going on specifically. Here is a good room spray for kids. You can get a glass spay bottle (only use dark glass like cobalt) from http//:www.sunburstbottle.comWhole Life EssentialsRoom Sprays for Colds5 drops Eucalyptus (radiata, smithii, or globulus is fine)4 drops Niaouli4 drops Lemon2 oz. of distilled wateror4 Rosemary cineole4 Eucalyptus (radiata, smithii, or globulus is fine)2 Lavender angustifolia2 Tea tree2 Peppermint2 oz. of distilled waterMix together in glass spray top bottle and mist the room as desired tohelp kill the germs in the air and improve health. Shake gently before each use.You can also substitute a carrier oil for the water and make your own colds care massage oil.Use Eucalyptus smithii in that case. Don't apply to the neck on the baby- apply to feet (absorbed through the body) back, and chest. Keep away from eyes.If you have a cool air humidifier just make one of the blends with no water or oil base and then add a few drops to the water.Tea tree. Eucalyptus (not globulus) and Lavender are a good all around combo for the bath too.for the kids- 4-6 drops (age diff) combined of the eos added to a tablespoon of honey or a 1/2 cup of epsom salts.Use only tested 100% pure, organic oils. These essential oils are anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti fungal, immune system stimulants. Great for flu, viruses, and to support the entire respiratory system. With children under 2 I normally customize everything very carefully- so if you give more specifics that will help but all of these combos are good.hth~Elizabeth Mail SpamGuard - Read only the mail you want.
