Guest guest Posted February 17, 2004 Report Share Posted February 17, 2004 Hi Everyone, I've been pouring Rosemary this morning and am reminded ( & refreshed!) of how much I love this herb and it's essential oil. I thought I'd share. Here are some very simple aromatherapy recipes I think you may enjoy- all using the essential oil Rosemary, cineole (Rosemarinus officinalis). Rosemary is one of the basic essential oils I suggest everyone have in their " natural health tool kit " . Headache Blend 4 drops Rosemary 5 drops Lavender 5 drops Peppermint Refreshing Bath 4 drops Rosemary 4 drops Lemon 2 drops Lavender blend in 1 tablespoon carrier oil or 1/2 cup coarse sea salts or epsom salts Memory Blend 8 drops Rosemary 5 drops Basil 4 drops Lemon 3 drops Clary Sage Inhalation blend from bottle, or make a room spray by adding to 2 oz of distilled water in a glass spray bottle. Shake. Rosemary Hair Conditioning Treat 6 drops Rosemary essential oil 1 tablespoon aloe vera juice 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar Apply to hair during bath and relax for 15 minutes. Rinse off and shampoo as normal. Rosemary Hair Oil 6 drops Rosemary Essential oil 15 ml warm Jojoba oil Add essential oil to warm oil and massage gently into scalp and hair. Wrap head and relax 15-20 min. Rinse and wash as normal. Cold Formula 5 drops Lavender 5 drops Rosemary 5 drops Eucalyptus Use in diffuser or add 8 drops to bath in a little honey. Or dilute in a tablespoon of oil for chest rub.
