CONGRATS PAM!!! I'm proud of you!... Do you take Total nutrition... it helps the cravings...but I do understand the substance... Use sea salt (celtic) If you juice, take the pulp... make veggie burgers,... citrus - make smoothies or popsicles...

Hey Suzi,Just wanted to drop you a note. Today is the 3rd day of the cleanse you recommended (pat on my back please). I chose the carrots, bought a big ol bag of organic ones at New Seasons and organic prune juice so I'm real proud of myself for getting thru it.

Well, I think we've determined that apple pulp does not get as dry as alot of other fruits and veggies... There are a variety of juicers being used... mostly it depends on what you can afford... I have a Jack Lalanne I love... It runs about $150 but it juices both and greens, and clean up is easy. Doc prefers Champion, some have the Omega .. Do a web search to see what all is out there that is in your budget...unless money is not an option... then go for the Champion, Green gold, etc... It depends on what you want to do with your juicer and how much you are going to use it.

You really need an organic juice or at least a pure juice (not a concentrate) for the cleanse.

Was this the juice cleanse? I am getting ready to start the juice cleanse and want to juice my own juice. My juicer doesn't work well on apples and carrot juice is too sweet for me. Does anyone have some other suggestions/ Will a good quality bought grape juice be sufficient for my first cleanse? I called my m om who has an Omega juicer too; a bit older model, and she said her juicer doesnt' do apples well either.

What kind of juice r is everyone out ther e using?

When we get our taxes back, I will be looking for one that can do both greens and fruit and nut butters. With as much as my kids eat it will be worth the investment. I so appreciate all this info Suzi thanks.

I was also wondering if anyone had any experience with freezing fresh herbs?

Janet you can freeze them just mince them first and add to dishes frozen or slightly thawed for best use. I still prefer fresh but will do better than dried I believe.

only habeneros, onions..ginger.... I believe they have to be dried first, not sure though... I seal mine in heavy freezer bags and then into my herb drawers. Some I have in jars with the plastic seals around the lids...Janet Seidlitz <dragonhealing wrote:

Well I had a used one before and it saved us a lot of money. My friend has a large garden and we make freezer jams and cut up fresh veggies and pack them in freezer bags together. Plus the local farm is in full swing again by spring and that too can be frozen. Then I was thinking of investing in some organic meat. Maybe have 1/4 side of beef and a few chickens slaughtered and cut up. This way we have things ready to pull out and don't need to buy the crap in the stores. I can also make huge dishes ahead of time and freeze family and individual sized portions. Which translates to more time for me to spend with my family instead of in the kitchen when they are home.

I was also wondering if anyone had any experience with freezing fresh herbs?

RE: Herbal Remedies - 3 day cleanse - Suzi

Hi Janet, Just out of curiosity, what will you be using the extra freezer for? I had wanted one previous to the body cleanse, but now we do so much FRESH fruits and veggies and so LITTLE meat that I hardly use my freezer at all! I store an extra bottle of Udo's oil in there, but that's about it! LOL! I don't like making 2 trips to the grocery store each week, especially since I have to drive more than 20 freeway minutes each way. I'd like to find better ways to store fresh things that are consistent with the way we are eating now. Any suggestions would be greatly welcome! :)
