I had some trteatment some years ago for my back which quite simply worked wonders. I had seen an osteopath which made things worse but then i was told about the Bowen technique. I don't know if you have it is the US. It originated in Australia but then went to Europe and it it is now very popular in the UK.It is very gentle infact it doesn't really feel as if they are doing anything but the results for me were brilliant

i just did a search and found a site www.bowendirectory.com which actually shows practitioners in the US. It also has a lot of info so it would be worth a look. After reading what some people on the list have gone through with chiropractors I would really recommend this as a safer alternative

I am interested in the difference in the spine of a 36 year old woman

and the spine of a 52 year old woman!!? As I am nearly the latter and have also

one

cushion near the base of my spine completely gone due to degeneration.

I was told it is the result of bad things we do to our back when younger,

carrying heavy bags of school books etc etc, its a huge list.

Anyway I don't think it is NORMAL for a 52 year old woman to have compressed

disks, or bad backs of any sort, I am certainly in the minority. Good grief

my MIL is 70 and gardens all day and does heaps and I can't even pot one

plant without being in agony.

Yes I have had Bowen. Firstly in about 1999, the lady said you have to have 3

treatments close

together. It certainly makes you relaxed. It is supposed to retrain the body to

itself, at least I think so. I am not sure if it is actually beneficial with

as I can't take lemon egg as we don't buy eggs. I just read something on this

Can anyone recommend this or something similar for someone post menopausal?

Weight bearing exercise is really good for improving bone density Granny.

Maybe you could pick up some 3lb weights to start. I have been using bags of

rice and/or beans lol. And then Benjamin weights 51 lbs now, but that's

another story hehehe.

LOL! Granny I can't keep up with the tapes either. Put the two of us in a

room together exercising and we'd give each other blackeyes hehehe.

Yes Benjamin enjoys being the dumbell and he is WAY too weighty for me LOL.
