Oh, Myrna, this is terrible!!! It sounds

like the problems you’re having are directly related to that

adjustment. And yes, the Activator could not do this type of damage

because the instrument controls the amount of pressure put into the spine.

I really don’t know what to suggest.

I know folks on this list will give you info on herbal remedies for the pain

and they will help but I think it’s a wait it out situation. If the

x-rays and MRI showed nothing, any further tests might show soft tissue damage

but it won’t speed up the healing one way or another. And yes, it

sounds like some tearing of soft tissue has been done. Depending on how

soon after the x-rays, MRI were done, fractures don’t show ‘til

healing starts so it’s still possible ribs were fx. Does your MD

want to see you again? I’m concerned about your lungs, if there is a

fx there. Don’t be doing any lifting of any kind or even extended

reaching.

We have a muscle therapist on the list, I

know she will have some suggestions especially since that helped for

awhile. Soaking in a tub with Epsom salts? Maybe?

If I think of anything else, I’ll

be back!

I do know one thing for sure: you

need to report this D.C. to your state board immediately!!! If you need

help figuring out how to do that let me know. You can usually find the

board info online but some states make it very difficult. Shame on him

for not seeing you through this. Clearly he knows he’s done

something bad. Actually, I would get a lawyer. I know none of this

helps the pain but you need to protect others from this guy!!! I’ll

help in anyway I can.

<<<<<What could the problem be and what

tests might show it??? Is it

possible that some muscle or ligaments were torm

in chest & would

echo, sonogram or other test show soft tissue

damage? If there was,

can anything be done or is it just " wait 'til

it heals " type of

situation? I know muscle damage can take several

months to repair :-(

Really don't know who to turn to anymore for

answers.>>>>

I've had the Activator used on me and I think it's the most deceptive device

ever created!

Why deceptive? Because it feels like little is being done to you, all you hear

is a click and

feel a small push. Those used to being manually adjusted will think " they've

done nothing to

me and I'm paying money for this " The deception is that it's really doing a LOT

of work!

As an example, my back muscles are VERY strong. Most chiro's literally bounce

off when

they try to use their hands. With an Activator, it's an easy adjustment for

them AND for me!

Usually by the next morning I will feel a change in the area (sometimes a little

sore).

It's quite a tool!!

I’ve had some fun with it that’s

for sure. Just had a new patient Thursday that had been adjusted manually

and after adjusting him with the Activator, I said: “feels like I did

nothing, huh?!?” And he was relieved that I said it before he did. He

came in yesterday and was already feeling better. It doesn’t work

that quickly always but it’s more effective then you’d think.

What’s nice is people bring those in that are afraid of chiropractic and

they also bring in their kids with this kind of adjustment.

Thanks for your post, Skip, music to my

ears J

I was considered almost disabled with fibromyalgia and a terrible back. I have been to many chiropractors. I found one in Charlotte NC that used the activator in combination with the Therastim (sp?) and it took longer than either of us expected but I made a remarkable recovery. Today it is still holding as long as I keep the vitamins going too. If I get off my "stuff" I get achy. I am going on the candida cleanse and have ordered an amino acid product to go with it. Its hard having to eat in truck stops and having little access to groceries but my husband is going to do the diet with me. I will keep you up dated.

I will suggest here, deep tissue oil and DMSO.. also bone flesh and cartlidge formula. This will help the healing process. Also try some hot/cold therapy.

Greta,

I would really look seriously at the total body cleanse... Your body will thank you for it. At least try a 3 day juice cleanse (in the files)

Yes, some chiros keep up with the current info on the

Activator and it sounds like he has contributed to new adjusting patterns,

too. Thank him for me because this is what keeps the Activator Methods so

effective.

Some chiros also do the manual manipulation to keep patients

that prefer that type. I didn’t have enough to maintain the skill

required for it and refer them to a chiro down the street. And to be

perfectly honest, I just didn’t like the extra work those adjustments

take for me AND the patient.

Kudos to you for including your kids at the chiros. Too

bad more parents don’t. Kids respond so quickly and I just love to

imagine all the ailments that are being prevented with the adjustments. They’re

not able to express the dis-ease that they may be feeling but the J on their faces and the extra bounce

in their steps when they leave is evidence enough that it’s made a

difference. Or is that big J for the stickers and tattoos LOL!! Actually,

it’s the teenagers that have this type of response and they surely don’t

take the stickers.

Oh, noooooo, I feel a story coming on: had a teenage

girl come in with a sore shoulder. Wellll, pain shows what I call the ‘stroke

effect’ where the effect of the stroke is on the opposite side of the

brain damage. Pain in the extremities do this too so this young woman

needed the shoulder WITHOUT the pain adjusted. She was pretty sure I was

daffy when she came in but was convinced when she left. She came in a

couple more times, the pain went away and she was ‘on call’. Whew, ‘cause

this gal had a major chip! Wellll, about a month later her Mother called

and asked if what I did could have affected her mood. Um, yes, the

adjustments ultimately affect the nervous system and the glands may function at

a higher level, possibly affecting her mood. Well, this very astute Mother

said that her daughter was easier to get along with when she was coming to see

me so she wanted to set up another appt. for her. Ok, I said, with a

little dread. Well, that dear sweet girl had to come in to see me about

every 2 months all the way through college, hee hee. We did end up being ‘friends’

but oh, my, what an interesting case!! And how I love telling these

stories J Thanks for ‘listening’.

Anna,

My chiropractor does both regular manipulation and the

activator, depends on what he thinks is the best method. My son has neck

issues, he is 12 years old and the activator is used almost exclusively on

him. It makes a big difference. However, just watching him , you

need to be really trained on the points. He is great and has actually

been noted by the chiro association as doing some specific sequences that make

a big change. My kids also don't freak when it is done with the activator

as they really don't like the other methods.
