Guest guest
Hi everyone - I have a friend who is 36, who's been having a lot of neck pain. A physician did an MRI and told her she had the spine of a 52 year old woman. The cusion between some of her vertebrates is gone or nearly gone. I'm not sure if this would be compressed or degenerative disk or not. I don't have the official diagnosis. Does anyone know of a way to treat the pain, get the body to rebuild the cusion and know of any deficiencies that may be causing this? Any other info would be of great help to. I may not be able to respond until after the 21st. I will be out of town. Thank you!!!!!!! Molly B
Guest guest
Have her 1) abandon the MD, because he's totally USELESS, especially when it comes to back problems, and 2) Go. See. A chiropractor. Find a good one. Massage therapy in conjunction with regular chiropractic care might also be a good idea; the massage usually maximizes the benefits of the spinal adjustments. She also needs to evaluate her lifestyle and why she might've gotten that way in the first place. Is it from an accident of some kind? A fall? Years of poor posture? Lack of bone minerals? Too much sitting and not enough exercise? Finding the cause is just as important as obtaining treatment. Both should be done, and soon Hope that helps --Jen herbal remedies , " deerclan001 " <bigknife@e...> wrote: > Hi everyone - I have a friend who is 36, who's been having > a lot of neck pain. Guest guest
Thank you Jen. Overall, her lifestyle is really healthy. She has been in some accidents years ago (one serious one as a child - body cast, and one with me 20 years ago, where we both got whiplash. Posture could be a culpruit - mainly posture when she is working out. I'll forward all recommendations to her. Are there ways to re-build the cusion?
