Rather, they are regulated separately, may contain sugar and calories, and are considered soft drinks. I am not talking about flavored seltzer just the plain... There is no calories or sugar in the plain. Also as I stated it is a good transitional drink to get off soda's, this is not a soda plain...now the flavored seltzers are an entire different animal.
