Guest guest
Wash it out with total tonic... give her garlic cloves... Got any total draw powder to make a poultice? Got any "good" tea tree? Plantain? You could make a poultice with tea tree, plantain and white clay... Give her some echinacea or astralagus also.. maybe a little cayenne tincture.. When we dealt with the vet for our other dog, they just put her on A LOT of antibiotics until the dead skin fell off and the sore began to heal. With this in mind, I am dousing the wound with colloidal silver as well as giving it to her orally. Just wondering what else I might be able to give her or put on her wound? Maybe garlic???? Guest guest
ok, you want something that will draw... the tea tree and plantain (it grows everywhere) mixed with white clay (powder) will draw... check the files for the total draw powder... maybe you have some of the ingredients... Do you have Total Tonic? would be good to cleanse the bite and also take it internally... Tell me what herbs do you have on hand ? Take the cayenne and either echinacea or astralagus twice a day for a week. Also take some garlic cloves every day. Also cayenne tincture. Just not the total draw powder, the plantain, or the white clay.... Carrie Ann "No great artist ever sees things as they really are. Guest guest
Carrie Ann, I'm not sure what herbals you have or not, but for a brown recluse bite I would do the following: First I'd apply osha root tincture directly to the spot again and again, Secondly, if I had fresh plantain (depends on what part of the country you are in this time of year) I'd chew them up to make a poultice or use dried in boiling water and to the plantain mush I would add any or all of the following tinctures, osha, yarrow and/or echinacea and I'd apply this poultice every few hours. If you don't have plantain and you have chapparrel that would work also. Good luck with Oreo. Bonnie Rogers
Guest guest
Suzi, Thanks for the info. So far, so good. She holding well. Yes, I have the TT. I washed the wound out with it last night, and surprisingly, she didn't try to rip me apart while I was doing it! I went and got some Plantain from my neighbor. So, I will make a poultice in just a little while as well. I'm off to find the Total Draw Powder in the files, thanks! So far today, I have also given her the silver, and astragalus. This afternoon I'll give her the echinacea and the garlic! I think this will work well! Carrie Ann "No great artist ever sees things as they really are.
