Guest guest
Greetings all...I have a question about a cleanse. I came across one that seems pretty simple...lemons, cayenne, distilled water and grade B maple syrup OR Blackstrap Molassses. I did a little googling and found that the grade B syrup apparently has more nutrients than the commercial pancake type...but what is the difference between Molasses and Blackstrap molasses?? Also, if one is doing a cleanse and can stand to be without actual food, raw or otherwise, is that doing too much? I am not a big eater anyway, and wrecked my metabolism because of that. So, if one does a juice cleanse like that, would it still be as effective, or more so if you forego the eats for a time? I read anywhere from 3-40 days is sufficient, but I figure, I could go a week or 2 before I miss the act of chewing something, and even then could probably go for a cinnamon stick or something. Then again, could do the whole 40 if I incorporate the raw foods and such slowly. I also read about detoxing of parasites that most, if not all of us have in the intestines. How long would it take to actually be RID of them? I am not into conventional meds AT ALL!! So, when I think of antiparasitic, I think of anti malarials (old pharmacy habits die hard!! ;-) ). I did too many Med Watch reports to be comfortable taking ANYTHING prescription. If anyone has tried that particular cleanse, or one close to it...yeah, I did print out the one from the files for my personal little book o' goodies, and it seemed very similar to my recollection...but I recently got off of beef...been weaning off of it for years...so who knows...might have a few memory holes in there already..LOL..thanks in advance for all you rinfo and help....Love... Guest guest
Blaze, Easy questions first... Blackstrap molasses contains the lowest sugar content of the molasses, but is the morevitamins, minerals, and trace elements (iron, potassium, calcium and magnesium) found naturally in the sugar cane plant, making it more nutritious than most other sweeteners. I've not tried that one... There is a 3 day juice fast in the files...I would say if you are drinking ORGANIC juices you would be okay.. but I think you need Doc to answer if this cleanse is good.. A juice fast, as long as it is organic is very good for you. I would probably do 3-7 days and then introduce raw foods in.. I would probably add Total Nutrition into the program though. Just my opinion... I'm sure you'll get others... Wait for Don's I know he'll respond.. Suzi SiteBuilder - Free web site building tool. Try it! Guest guest
So do it on a Thursday or Friday and have the weekend... I was wondering if 1 to 2 days of the juice fast is useful, or am I confusing my body too much if I change things that quickly? Any info or opinions welcome! Thanks!
