question about buying veggies

There is a local health food store here that sells a handful of

organic veggies, and it's halfway across town. There is however, a

farmer's market right up the street, and they have a plethora of

goodies. At the farmer's market, does it have to say " organic " or can

I assume that it is. Even if it is not organic, would it still be

better than going to the supermarket across the street?
