Hi Sylvia,

Congrats on your successes with the cleanse so far! I too had thyroid problems, hadn't been able to lose weight for years, and then lost lots on the cleanse, and now my thyroid is NORMAL!

Just wanted to ask about "cooking up the Frijoles" - are you really cooking, or do you know how to make Frijoles from raw? Just curious! :)

I'll let others answer the sprouting questions, etc...

No really cooking them. I had 2 more people tell us that we can have

cooked food during the cleanse as long as it is vegan, and sprouted

and organic. Obviously it is much better to do all raw, and the

majority of what we are eating is raw, but we found that after 2 days

of total raw, we were VERY hungry and VERY Grumpy.

The pinto's were organic and had sprouted for 3 days. We added some

onion and garlic and steamed them. I'm going to mash them later this

evening and put them into some Ezekiel Torilla's we bought.

You are the second person to tell me that they have fully recovered

from thyroid problem and i have to say thank you! It is very

encouraging for me as i just hated the thought of taking a pill

everyday. I went cold turkey 2 years ago, off my allergy meds and

found that i did just as well if not better than I did with the meds;

so I know there can be life after Conventional Med!

I'm very interested to hear your post-cleanse thyroid stories as well! You're going to be sharing your successes on this very soon, I know it!

Keep it up! :)

Dear Sylvia,

Great on the two pounds!!!!!!! Eeeee hawwww ;o)

If you DO notice any kind of drop in the energy level, there's nothing stopping you from taking an extra Total Nutrition / Dragon Snot. This'll send you right back up there ;o)

I'm not sure about your oil question, but it is most likely that the enzyme inhibitors are removed in the distilation process. This is the logical answer.

The seeds you should be sprouting are any "whole" seeds. It does no good to sprout seeds where the integrity of the hull has been compromised.

Keep up the good work.

Love,

Doc

Herbal Remedies - More Total Cleanse questions

Well gang here it is day 7 of the 4 week program and DH and I are even more commited to doing this than ever.First a praise report: I have lost 2 pounds. Mind you, to anyone else this is not a big deal, but since I got diagnosed with Hypo thyroid over 3 yrs ago, losing weight has been as elusive as the lost cities of gold. And i am in now way going hungry! In addition to that i havent noticed any decrease in energy as i was expecting since i stopped taking my HORRIBLE little T-pills.and I am happy to say i just cooked my first batch of sprouted Frijoles today and they were pretty good. I was worried that i would loose all of the flavor or taste that i had grown up on, but nope, they were pretty darn good! Now onto my questions:Why must we sprout seeds to eat them, but then it is OK to use the oils of them (not sprouted)?Do we have to sprout the seeds of things we use to season stuff? Like Cumin, Mustard, Anise, Fennel, etc.I think this is related to the evening hot bath, but i am not sure. I noticed yesterday morning that i am covered in little tiny red blisters. I have seem one or two on occasion in the past where i got pinched or have scratched too hard and assumed they were tiny broken or damaged capilaries. Anyway, i am concerned because litterally hundreds have showed up all over my body including places i never had them before. Hubby thought prhaps my bath may have been too hot? Idea's?Sylvia

Dear Syl,

Yer not a pest ;o)

Don't let up on the "hot" bath and keep 'em as hot as you can stand it.

The blisters may turn on, but they will also turn off as you continue to do the program.

As you get more into the program, you'll notice this happening. Some things turn on, and then they blow.

The nice thing about this, is that once they blow, they are usually gone for good.

Remember not to stop. Some people get to feeling so good that they quit in the middle of the program. Do not do this. Finish it regardless of how 'great' you might be feeling ;o) As you go through each step of the program, you'll notice the ups and downs, with the downs becoming less and less frequent.

Love,

Doc

Re: Herbal Remedies - More Total Cleanse questions

Thanks for the encouragement Doc (and everyone else too!) it makes me so much more determined to get thru this and to stay commited to changing my eating habits and a new life.DOC... sorry to be a pest, but what about the little red blisters issue? I tired a "cooler" hot bath last night, but one night will not be enough to tell if this is what caused the little blisters or not? Has anyone else ever experienced this during cleanse?Syl
