Guest guest
I'm proud of you - yes you have come a long way... and if anyone can get you to where you are off the meds... it will be Doc... He really is amazing. Haven't heard of the soda you speak of but i know I switched to a all natural ginger ale and that was a no-no... too.... Send an email to the group list subject "Free Tape" and tell Doc you want his free tape... and put your snail mail in ... He'll see it.. It seems that somewhere in the message archives we discussed bipolar.. but I can't remember when that was... you may sometime want to do a search.. Just remember there is always hope... and I believe we'll see you off these meds one of these days... Suzi poneyboyfx <poneyboy wrote: Where do I send him my snail mail addy so I can get the tape? as far as the last three meds, I really don't know about coming off of them. u would not believe what I have come off of.I realize that the natural way is 100% better but my life without meds is totally bad. I cannot fuction without them. the altace is for my kidneys. I know there are some herbs to help them and I will start on them within the next few weeks. but the altace keeps my BP down low enough to keep the pressure off my kidneys. Most of the people with this illness go on the renial failure since I have gone to a more natural diet my kidney fuction has improved a lot, however not the doctors but it is my own fear of a transplant that keeps me on it. The thought of having to go through that scares me to death. as far as the rest go I have check into a natural approch to replace them and there was a study done by a natural group in cunjuction with the psy field on fish oil and the first thing they brought out was there is no 100% replacement for meds with bipolar. now I don't know if this is true I may be wrong and if I am please set me stright. I have checked into some natural approches for bipolar treatment and the cost is far to high for me. I mean real high close to $200 a month. and we just can't afford that right now. I would very much like to get off the last two meds if I ever can. but the thought scares me also. I was in very bad shape before I have come a long way. and it has just started to get better for me. I am not preaching the use of meds I do not like them. but in what I have learned so far fish oil is the best thing to treat bipolar and it is not 100%. stable. I looked into another thing called truehope and it was just way out there in price and they told me I could not take my other herbs and I would have to cut my vit C I take 8,000 a day and they wanted me to drop to about 1,000 and I did not like that. they wanted to control everything I took and ate and drank, they wanted to call me once a week to check up on me and make sure I was following the plan. I thought it was more control of my life that I was willing to give up. Maybe with futher learning and research I will learn how to control my bipolar naturally but for now I must take things one step at a time. I have come a long way in the last year as far as changing my life style and I want to press on. but right now I'm more concerned with my diet and improving my health in the area of what I can do to add to my intake to make my life better, and also take away (like the pop) but lets talk about the meds last. lets center on the other things first. right now I need them in my life untill I can make the GIANT step to leave them behind. after all I have been on them for the last 11 years, and I use them as a crutch. remember I was on 12 and I was a mess. I will take ur advice and cut out the pop, I know I need to. Have u ever heard of Hensens natural pop? what do u think of it? Well I know I have said a lot so I will continue to apply everything I learn to improve and change right now and deal with the meds later, when I get braver.Poneyboy----herbal remedies Date: Wednesday, January 28, 2004 7:53:57 PMherbal remedies Subject: Re: Herbal Remedies - New Member PoneyboyPoneyboy,You need to get Doc's tape - it's free for the asking - give him your mailing address.. once you get it and listen to it.. you will want to give him a call - first call/consultation is free..
