I have a neighbor that has been taking her children (8 year old and

1 year old) to a chiroprator to get adjusted on a weekly basis since

before the one year old was born. Is that healthy or could that

cause some kind of damage to a child that still has growing bones??

Now her 8 year old daughter has been having some neck pains and the

chiropractor is telling her that is is called Rhye Neck Syndrome and

it is very common. My first instinct is to think that it was caused

by the chiropractor, but I am not sure. Has any one heard of that

syndrome or does anyone have a different opinion on it?

If your with a good chiro its great.... There are some icky ones out there as well.... You have to be aware of the treatment being received AND if they are good w/ kids.

I am not sure on that syndrome...

I know it's common in rabbits.....we used to raise them and their head would be twisted to the side and unable to hold it normally. It can be caused by a Vit B deficiency, or an injury.

I have taken my daughter to the chiropractor since she was a baby. I think it has been essential for handling various bumps and knock abouts that happen on the playground at school and such. Many's the time that Megan would start having nightmares (as kids often do) and they wouldn't go away with the normal treatment of Vitamin B1 and CalMag until I got her an adjustment.

I don't know about the Syndrome you mention.

Not knowing the details, but

once/week sounds excessive. As the spine stabilizes fewer treatments are

needed but again I don’t know the details of lifestyle, general

health, etc. Not familiar with the syndrome. You might want to

check the spelling. There’s others that are close to this spelling

but I won’t try to comment until you check the spelling.
