Guest guest
Colonics can be helpful if you're really sick, but if you're just a little under the weather, you should go for doing the Intestinal Cleanses. Won't a cleanse do the same thing? Are they dangerous? A friend is trying to get me to try one and I am not sure about this. It sounds like it's done by a massage therapist? Guest guest
I have a friend who is a colon therapist and she is licensed here in MA. I think they have licensing in FL, too. Definitely go to someone that has been schooled and somehow qualified for this. They should be using disposable equipment and the water device should be FDA approved. Now that I think about it she might know someone in your area as her sister lives in FL. Let me know if you want me to find out. IMO a colonic might enhance the colon cleanses. Anna *Your Health Is In Your Hands* <<<< What qualifications if any should the person have? I have autoimmune hives and the cleanses and diet change have made it somewhat better but not completely. I am hoping this will help. Angela >>>>
Guest guest
I am in Kansas and have two options of people who offer the service. I know other people who have been to one but have no reccomendations from the other. Is there any problem with it posibly relasing too many toxins at once? They said they give you acidopholysis (SP), electrolytes and water when you leave. I assume this is because since it takes everything out it is somewhat dehydrating too is this right? Thanks everyone for your help! Guest guest
Angela, The two colon therapists that I've worked with through the years did not give anything but the colonic. And the only comments I've gotten from patients who have gone to them have been: " I wish I'd done it sooner. " I think the best referral is from someone who has been to the person. But, still check their training and ask if they're using disposables. They should not mind these queries. You're paying them, they're working for you. An interview is appropriate. If they're the least bit irritated, go elsewhere!! I don't know what the political climate is down there so be sure to introduce yourself and give the name of the person referring you. As to releasing too many toxins, drink plenty of water, as I'm sure you're already doing and you should have no problems. If you bring down a lot of gas during the colonic you might be a bit uncomfortable but it's part of the healing and should be welcomed. Ack, easy for me to say LOL!!
